Madhya Pradesh's capital city i.e. Bhopal is still grappling and trying to come to terms with the grotesque and gory murder of a 31 year old salesman who was gunned down at point blank range in the vicinity of a toll booth......
According to the city's Superintendent of Police G.K. Pathak the now deceased Vikrant rajput was allegedly pursued from his home and hearth by at least four armed and masked yet to be identified miscreants......
Eyewitnesses and bystanders who are still recoiling in abject shock and horror swore to the irrevocable fact that their steps were brought to an abrupt and impromptu standstill when they heard a volley of shots breaking out in their immediate surroundings.......
The next dastardly sight that they were confronted with at around 11:20 am or so on a particularly hellish and eventful Thursday morning was that of the dear departed collapsing to the ground in a rapidly coagulating/spreading pool of his own life blood and other life sustaining substances......
An 108 ambulance that was summoned to the crime scene post haste rushed the mortally wounded Pathak to the nearest government run medical facility where the doctors on duty at the time pronounced him brought dead on arrival and surmised that the four bullets that had pierced his head as well as the two bullets lodged in his heart has hastened or then contributed significantly towards his premature departure from planet earth........
Four police teams expressly constituted for the purpose have been entrusted with the onerous responsibility of unmasking or then unravelling the true identities of the four alleged murderers and apprehending/arresting them at the earliest...
Highly ranked police officials have also ruled out robbery as a motive as the 31 year old victim was closely/intimately associated with a city based NGO and was far from flush with funds or any other material resources........
Personal enimity/animosity or then a deep rooted sense of hatred are being looked at possible motives behind this murder most fouls and police officials have begun interrogating the corpses family members/friends/ professional associates/ colleagues and well wishers in an effort to unravel the puzzle behind this murder that has shaken Bhopal to it's very core.......
