 With back to back box office successes "Heropanti" and "Baaghi" establishing both his pedigree as well as box office standing and with the comic super hero caper "Flying Jatt" literally poised for take off; Tiger certainly seems to have left behind his closest rivals like Sooraj Pancholi and such notable others leagues behind in the quest for success........
 As if this was not enough; here comes the news about ace/noted producer director Karan Johar all but signing up Tiger for the sequel to the 21012 smash hit "Student Of the Year" which launched the careers of star kids Varun Dhawan; Alia Bhatt and last but not the least proverbial outsider Siddharth Malhotra.......
 Letting the cat out of the bag a source from Dharma Productions (Karan Johar's production house) said "yes it is true that Karan has indeed offered Tiger one of the leading roles in the proposed sequel; but Tiger is yet to sign on the dotted line as Karan is still firming up the final draft of the script and Tiger will sign on the dotted line once he hears the narration of the script from Karan's very own mouth".........
 "The news or then speculation in the media about Shahid Kapoor's younger half brother Ishan Khattar and Saif Ali Khan's demure and dazzling daughter Sara being approached for the other two lead roles in the proposed sequel is nothing more than a figment of some people's fertile and overactive imaginations as Karan has only initiated initial parleys with Tiger and none else apart from him".........
 "This sequel is slated to go on the floors either in November/December 2016 or then early 2017 once Karan wends his way through the Diwali 2016 release of his latest directorial venture 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' and any news pertaining to the other young and upcoming actors or debutantes being signed up for this much anticipated and awaited sequel will only be known in the next few weeks or months"; the source signs off.......

VIVEK OBEROI DOES IT AGAIN.........

Now here is one noble soul right after my own heart.......
 I am referring to none other than the thirty plus actor par excellence Vivek Oberoi who in the past has rebuilt houses of families whose dwellings were washed away in the massive tsunami that struck south India many moons ago.......
Vivek has also done more than his bit for organ; eye and blood donation by not only becoming the brand ambassador of such campaigns but led by example by pledging his eyes; organs as well as donating his very own blood more times than one can count.......
 In his latest philanthropic venture this supremely talented actor who was last seen tickling your funny bone in the recently released Great Grand Masti has once again stepped up to the plate and voluntarily donated 25 state of the art high end computers to underprivileged children hailing from Uttar Pradesh's Mathura city..........
 Brushing aside all the brouhaha or then hype about this selfless and note worthy gesture Mr. Oberoi nonchalantly quipped "empowering young girl's and women has always been one of my life's primary objectives as you do not empower a single soul or human being by empowering and equipping a woman but take care of the future of an entire family".........
 Vivek also promised to keep repeating such exemplary and gallant gestures as and when he could and signed off by saying that this was the very least he could do for people who otherwise might not be able to gain access and to computers and cutting edge technology that might be the harbinger of progress and prosperity.........
 Here's wishing him many more such successes and may the almighty empower him to reach out to as many needy and impoverished souls as he possibly can........

SAVAGERY;MURDER AND MAYHEM........

Deep rooted suspicion or then ever the merest hint of the same can transform a seemingly sane human being into a murderous savage within the batting of an eyelid.......
 50 year old Ramachandran a lifelong resident of Erode (Tamil Nadu) district's Gurunathapuram village let his satanic persona get the better of his angelic persona on the fateful night of July 28;2016 as he ended up hacking his 46 year old wife of 25 odd years standing to a gruesome death that she certainly did not deserve.........
 A tearful and disconsolate 22 year old Malathy haltingly reveals the fact that her particularly incensed and irate father used to constantly bicker and squabble with her mother Palaniammal as he suspected her fidelity and often accused her of having developed a clandestine sexual relationship with a fellow resident of the same village.........
Matters however came to a head on that fateful and sordid night as the accused firstly slapped the deceased around after a renewed bout of hostilities and left the family's nondescript dwelling in a huff in an attempt to try and regain control of his senses.......
 He however returned at around 11 pm or so a good 30 minutes after their only son Gurusamy had stepped outside the house in order to meet up with his friends and began berating his much chastened wife and showering her with the choicest abuses and epithets.........
 An equally frenzied and frazzled Palaniammal matched her husband abuse for abuse and this doughty behaviour incensed him so much that he picked up a sickle lying nearby and proceeded to hack his hapless and defenceless wife on her neck and chest region at least a dozen times if not more........
 A shocked; bewildered; alarmed and disbelieving Malathy rushed out of the hutment screaming for help at the top of her voice and rushed to her motionless mother's aid in the company of fellow villagers who had made a beeline towards the crime scene as soon as they heard the young woman's hideous screams for help......
Taking advantage of the prevailing mayhem and utter confusion Ramachandran made good his escape from the scene even as his daughter and fellow villagers rushed his grievously injured spouse to the nearby primary health centre where the doctor on duty at the time pronounced her brought dead on arrival........
 Local police sleuths who were summoned to the hospital or then should I say government run medical facility by the on duty doctor sent the mortal remains of the victim to the district hospital for the mandatory post mortem; registered a case of murder against the accused and subsequently launched a massive manhunt in order to apprehend the fugitive at the earliest........
 Like I mentioned earlier deep rooted suspicion or then even the merest hint of it can turn the best of us into primeval savages who need to be put down for eternity at the earliest........

ARVIND KEJRIWAL TO TAKE TEN DAY LONG SABBATICAL.......

Hopefully incumbent Delhi chief minister and Aam Aadmi party supremo will rediscover his seemingly lost mojo and somewhat subdued sense of enthusiasm after attending this session.......
 According to a post on the AAP official website Mr. Kejriwal will be taking a much needed ten day break from his rather arduous and draining official duties during the first week of August in order to attend a Vipassana session/camp which is slated to be held in Nagpur........
 Shri Arvind Kejriwal will be completely oblivious to the proceedings of the outside world as he will be denied any access whatsoever to newspapers; television; internet; social networking sites; mobile phones et al during this period and exclusively focus on looking within and emerging that much more wiser and sagacious after the ten day long sabbatical.........
 One would do well to remember the fact that Mr. Kejriwal had attended a similar ten day long session a little over 18 months ago and had tweeted that the experiences garnered over the course of those ten days enabled him to clear his mind and make much more sager and momentous decisions.........
 This will be Shri Arvind Kejriwal's second sabbatical from official duties (and the first during his present term as the Delhi chief minister) and his deputy Manish Sisodia will don the mantle during his absence........
 Here's hoping that this avowed fan of this transcedental form of meditation and looking within more than meets his laid down objectives; goals; aims; pursuits and so on and so forth as both Delhi and the nation as a whole will benefit from a revamped and reinvented chief minister who is in an unique stratosphere of his very own.........

VASANTH PAUL TO THE RESCUE........

One only hopes and prays that more than a few Indian males take a leaf out of the book of this Chennai based model who gallantly and indomitably stood up to three wannabe rapists who were trying to dishonour and desecrate their unwilling victim........
 Self professed and confessed Rajanikanth ceiling fan Chennai based upcoming model and actor Vasanth Paul was on his way back from catching or rather watching a late night show of his matinee idols latest blockbuster "Kabali" in the company of a few friends when he was confronted with a macabre sight that will continue to haunt him for the rest of his life........
 Paul who had taken a detour at Alandur in order to bypass the mayhem and infuriating traffic snarls that plagued the main roads as a result of the extensive renovations being carried out to the Chennai airport stopped his SUV to take a pee (as his bladder was threatening to burst at any moment) and paused for a smoke after emptying his bladder when he heard plaintive cries for help and more guttural sounds emanating from an empty plot that abutted the deserted and desolate spot where he had stopped his SUV......
 He at first dismissed the sounds/noises as those made by a denizen of the feline species most probably a cat but some inner instinct or sixth sense guided him towards the spot from which these sounds that had intrigued him as he was not convinced by the "catty" theory being enunciated by his brain........
 In the glare of his vehicle's headlights was reflected a gory and gruesome sight right out of the annals of numerous Tamil potboilers which are inundated with repulsive and repugnant rape scenes........
 This daring soul saw three men who were speaking to each other in a Hindi dialect mercilessly dragging a protesting and unwilling woman with them and one of the three men was demonically slapping and beating her while the other two were trying to disrobe her and outrage her modesty........
Without sparing a thought about his life and limb; this heroic gent jumped to the rescue of the damsel and distress though hopelessly outnumbered; he somehow or the other managed to thwart the nefarious designs and desires of the marauding trio; one of whom had managed to ensnare a thick rope around his neck and was trying his level best to extinguish the life of their adversary with the same.........
 Their dishevelled and distraught intended victim who made good her escape from the scene managed to reach the main road and attract or rather catch the attention of a passing by auto driver and his two male passengers who understood the seemingly deathly scenario in the proverbial batting of an eyelid.......
They proceeded to give the wannabe rapists a sound thrashing and realising that their game was up; the demonic trio who by now were bleeding from the blows inflicted on their personas by Paul and the three other gents took advantage of the darkness and flee the spot.........
The four musketeers offered to take the young woman to the nearest police station and file an official complaint against the rapacious trio but their intended victim expressed her unwillingness and inability to do so as she did not want to get embroiled in a legal tangle that could hamper the rest of her life........
 Respecting her expressed wishes and desire; Vasanth Paul who was now bleeding profusely from the gashes inflicted on his neck by the thick and confining rope that had ensnared it; Paul firstly dropped the thankful and indebted young woman to her intended destination and then painfully made his way to a medical facility where he had his numerous wounds and lacerations attended to.........
 Paul then proceeded to narrate his harrowing and life threatening ordeal on his facebook page on the very next day but candidly and unequivocally expressed the praiseworthy and exemplary fact that he would rush to the rescue of every damsel in distress irrespective of the possible consequences and ramifications as the person involved (victim) could be someone's mother; sister or daughter and it was the sworn duty of every caring and conscientious male to come to the rescue of any and every female in distress as this is the "male" dharma that Vasanth Paul swears by..........
 Will a significant majority of us swear by the same "male" dharma and jump to the rescue of every distressed and repressed female every single time when we are confronted with a similar horrendous scenario........

VIRAT FLOORS UNABASHED FAN WITH HIS HUMILITY AND GRACIOUSNESS........

Incumbent team India test captain Virat Kohli is not only setting records with his bat but also reaching out to fawning fans and how..........
 One of Virat's legion of fans is highly respected and admired Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar's teenaged son Hasan who is a promising/buddin cricketer who is making his mark on the domestic Pakistani junior cricketing firmament........
 Mr. Dar who was one of the on filed umpires in the just concluded Antigua test between India and West Indies and Virat Kohli were seated besides each other in an airport lounge while waiting to board a flight to their next destination when Mr. Dar received a video message from his son asking about Virat's whereabouts and well being.........
 A demure and somewhat abashed Aleem Dar haltingly blurted out the fact that his son was an ardent Virat fan and would certainly be over the moon if Virat condescended to speak to him and utter a few words of encouragement........
 Lo and behold; a gallant and chivalrous Virat more than readily agreed to encourage and inspire his avowed fan (Hasan) by asking him to put in more hours of unstinting and uncompromising practice in the nets as hard work; perseverance and attention to detail were the keys to his success and Hasan would do well to make the same an integral part and parcel of his work ethic........
 Thrilled beyond words; Hasan promised his idol to etch his inspiring and encouraging words on his heart and try that much harder to carve out his very own niche in the uncompromising;unforgiving; demanding and cut throat international cricketing arena and swore to make his debut in Pakistani national colours within the next two to three years..........

 According to news emanating from sources close to the Kapoor khandan; Ranbir might just end up donning his beloved grandfather's (the immortal Raj Kapoor's) "Japani jootey" (shoes) and "Englishtani patloon" (pants) in a forthcoming biopic on the life and times of one of India's finest ever actors and film maker........
 33 year old Ranbir has been more than forthcoming about his long cherished dream to enact the role of his larger than life grand pater on the silver screen and his dream might just end up coming true in the very near future what with the proposed biopic all set to be launched under the immortal "RK" banner.......
The father and son duo (Rishi and Ranbir Kapoor) have been more than vocal about their untiring and relentless efforts to rejuvenate and renew the largely moribund and defunct "RK films" banner that has been lying defunct for well over a decade and a half or so........

Presenting the present day version of "Mother India" who makes her fugitive son see the error of his ways and surrender before the legal authorities........
Yes; this seemingly jaw dropping event did indeed happen in real life on the eventful day of July 25 (early hours of July 25) when murder accused (co-accused) Ashaben made her 20 year old son Pravin Dhaval alias Bholo voluntarily surrender before the concerned legal authorities at around 1:30 am or so on the afore mentioned date......
 20 year old Pravin who is the prime accused in the case of killing his neighbour who allegedly set his family's humble abode on fire was arrested for the dastardly crime on June 11; 2016 and remanded to the confines of Ahmedabad's Sabarmati Central Jail the very next day by a judicial magistrate.........
 His father Purushottam; younger brother Pratap; Ashaben; her daughter and son-in-law were named co-conspirators and accomplices or then co-accused in the ghastly crime and remanded to the very same jail premises by the same judicial magistrate........
 Ashaben had been maintaining the unequivocal and qualified stance that she and her fellow family members did not commit the heinous crime to begin with and her relentless pursuit to clear her as well as her beloved family member's names finally bore fruit on July 22 when Ashaben and her daughter were granted unconditional bail by the sessions court........
 In the meanwhile; an unduly worried and distressed Pravin who was perturbed and dismayed by the precarious financial condition of his suffering family somehow or the other managed to scale the 18 odd foot high prison wall after nightfall on the fateful day of July 22 and made good his escape from the confines in which he found himself enclosed.........
According to Pravin his wife of 8 odd months Anjali masterminded his escape and also helped him with the much needed moolah and other paraphernalia required to make good his escape from his purgatory........
 He (Pravin) surreptitiously made his way to the nearby Kalol town where he took refuge in a close friend's house; he then proceeded to contact his besotted wife who made her way to his hideout with some 5,000 rupees or so and then coerced her errant husband to make a phone call from a local telephone and inform his distraught mother about his whereabouts..........
 Lo and behold; a conscientious and law abiding Ashaben firstly berated her "criminally inclined" son for having resorted to this desperate measure and reached Kalol town in the proverbial batting of an eyelid; she then proceeded to drill some much needed sense into his dense head/brain and successfully managed the exemplary and noteworthy feat of getting him to voluntarily surrender before the superintendent of the very same jail from where he had made good his escape.........
 Shrugging away her all too rare deed with casual nonchalance and a mere shrug of her shoulders Ashaben maintains that she has complete and abiding faith in both the law of the land as well as judiciary and that the same would exonerate her falsely implicated son sooner rather than later as he is innocent and the almighty in whom she steadfastly believes never ever suffer the consequences or then punishment for a crime he never committed to begin with........
 "There is no denying that Pravin is my son but he is also a murder accused and has to thereby submit himself to the due processes of the law of the land until his innocence is conclusively established and he is honourably exonerated or discharged from the murder charge that has become the bane of my law abiding family's existence"Ashaben signs off.........
 Fellow Indians I give you Ashaben; a simple unassuming; nondescript yet exemplary and noteworthy mother who places a premium on abiding by the law of the land and it's due processes irrespective of the price that she has to pay for doing so........

RELIGIOUS FANATICISM CLAIMS IT'S LATEST VICTIM.......

Religious fanaticism and vigilantism which has seen an upward trend ever since the Modi government assumed office claimed it's latest victim in the form of a woman accused of desecrating the holy book of the Sikhs (Guru Granth Sahib)........
 47 year old Balwinder Kurwas a life long resident of village Ghawaddi on the outskirts of Ludhiana city was shot dead by two unidentified motor cycle borne assailants right outside the Alamgir Gurudwara on the murderous morning of July 25; 2016.......
 According to alarmed and petrified witnesses the woman who was arrested by the Ludhiana police sleuths for allegedly having desecrated the Guru Granth Sahib and having strewn it's pages throughout the length and breadth of the village on October 19; 2015 but was subsequently released on bail by the sessions court within a matter of weeks after her arrest........
 Her murderers who had masked their identities or visages with scarves let loose a volley of shots from the country made revolvers borne by them as soon as their intended victim stepped outside the precincts of the holy shrine after offering her prayers and fled the spot while their victim crumpled to the ground and lay motionless in a rapidly spreading pool of her own blood while terrified and aghast fellow villagers remained rooted to the spot....,....
 Police personnel who rushed to the spot upon being informed of the ghastly incident firstly secured the spot recorded the testimonies of eye witnesses and sent the mortal remains of the 47 year old woman for the legally ordained post mortem......
 A massive manhunt has since been launched in an effort to apprehend the two accused at the earliest but the conspicuous absence of either CCTV footage or any clues pertaining to the supposed identities of the murderers and the registration number of the motorcycle on which they fled the crime scene is severely hampering their efforts in this regard.........
 Yet another deathly; despicable and dastardly manifestation of the alarming and threatening religious intolerance and fanaticism that will surely be the legacy of the incumbent Modi government to our tolerant and largely secular nation when it demits office in 2019.......

GHASTLY AND BESTIAL MURDER.......

Some Indian males certainly seem to be getting more bestial and savage with each passing day........
 Bhopal police sleuths apprehended a 48 year old man for allegedly butchering his paramours mortal remains into twelve (!2) parts or pieces and callously or then should I say demonically disposing them off along the railway tracks some distance away from his unremarkable and nondescript dwelling as well as in his very own backyard........
 According to police sources; the murderous gent who has since been identified as unskilled railways employee Ram Kishore Yadav allegedly entered into a particularly incensed and acrimonious argument with the deceased; a widow who was cohabiting and mating with him for the last five and a bit years ever since the untimely demise of her legally wedded husband on the fateful night of July 24; 2016.........
 Things took a turn for the worse after the enraged and seemingly slighted widow threatened to file a rape complaint against Yadav at the Shahdol district police thana and the implied threat coerced this railways employee who lived on his own in the official accommodation allotted to him picked up an axe and extinguished the screaming woman's life with repeated wings of the same........
 Realising the enormity and seemingly life altering consequences of his demonic rage Yadav then proceeded to butcher or then dismember the now deceased woman's lifeless corpse into seven (7) distinct parts loaded them into a sack; sat astride his bicycle with the said sack in tow and disposed off his beastly burden at approximate distances of 100 metres or so along the Shahdol-Anupur Railway line........
 Fellow railway employees who discovered the body parts of the departed soul brought the same to the notice of the police sleuths on the morning of July 25 and one of them seemingly implicated Yadav by identifying the dismembered or decapitated head of the woman as that of the widow who had developed a carnal relationship with Yadav.........
 Upon the receival of this information a team of police personnel rushed to Yadav's abode at around 11 am or so on the same morning and found bloodstains and broken bangles strewn in his backyard and in the vicinity of his official accommodation......
 Yadav cracked under the sustained and relentless interrogation he was subjected to by a senior police inspector and subsequently led the police party towards the spot in his backyard where he had buried the five (5) remaining parts of his sexual partner's body as his trusted bicycle had broken down and thus rendered him incapable of carrying the very same on his carrier and strewing or then dumping them along the afore mentioned railway line........
 Charged with wilful and wanton murder and hatching a conspiracy to commit the same; Yadav was produced before a judicial magistrate on the late afternoon of July 25; 2016 and remanded to 21 days of judicial custody by the legal functionary; further investigations are on to ascertain whether this macabre and diabolical murder was a one off or whether the accused also had a hand in the mysterious and intriguing disappearance of two other women in almost similar circumstances.........
 It is indeed heartening to note that the full force and ferocity of the law will be brought down upon Yadav when he is duly sentenced for his unpardonable crime but what about the Yadav clones or incarnates who have committed similar ghastly crimes and continue to boast and gloat about/over the same........

STAR AFTER MY OWN HEART........

Emraan Hashmi certainly has his heart in the right place as this chivalrous and humanitarian gesture more than proves.......
 Mr. Hashmi who was last seen gracing the screen in the box office disaster "Azhar" not too long ago answered a teenaged avowed fan's ardent wish to meet him as he turned up to meet and greet his ailing fan in the cancer ward of a suburban Mumbai super speciality hospital on Monday evening.........
 According to hospital sources; Emraan whose own six odd year old son Ayaan is a triumphant and euphoric cancer survivor firstly collaborated with an NGO to raise funds for poor and impoverished cancer victims who otherwise would not be able to sustain the seemingly prohibitive costs of the prolonged course of treatment but also ended up contributing a more than generous sum of money towards this noble cause on his own.......
 This seemingly impromptu visit was coordinated with Emraan's team and a more than willing Emraan not only graciously consented to honour his fawning fan's long held desire to meet him but sauntered into the hospital ward bearing an armload of gifts; chocolates; other goodies et all that not only ended up bringing a smile on the critically ill teenagers visage but also succeeded in giving him a renewed lease of life........
 Emraan who has recently co-authored a best selling book about his doting sons heroic and gallant battle with the dreaded disease left the hospital promises after promising to make renewed visits to the cancer ward at periodic intervals and also offered to take his fan; friends; and family friends to the premiere of his much awaited and anticipated next release which will be the next instalment in the super successful "Raaz" series........
 Here's wishing this Hindi film industry icon all the success; adulation admiration and fame that he so richly deserves as he is one of a near extinct species of loving and caring human beings who make time for others who are not as fortunate or blessed as they are.....

POLITICOS BEATEN BLACK AND BLUE........

Heartening to see our politicians getting beaten black and blue even though the same occurred during the course of a fund raising football match......... Yes; you did indeed read it right; a team of politicians led by the minister of state for heavy industries Babul Supriyo crashed to a resounding 10-0 defeat to a team of Hindi film industry stalwarts in a football match held between the two teams in the national capital on a sultry Sunday evening......
 This charitable or more appropriately fund raising venture was staged between the two teams in an effort to garner funds for prime minister Narendra Modi's two pet projects namely the Clean India (Swachch Bharat) and female empowerment (Beti Bachao Beti Padhao) campaigns........
 Self confessed Barcelona team fan and mean footballer Ranbir Kapoor led the all stars team comprising of such notables like Dino Morea; Shabbir Ahluwalia; Karan Wahi and last but not the least Sachin Joshi to name just a few........
The impressive and irrepressible Ranbir ended up scoring or notching up five goals for his team while Dino Morea netted a brace (two goals) himself; while the team of politicos comprising of Manoj Tewari; Parvesh Varma; Kamlesh Paswan; Satish Gautam and Bhola Singh was left huffing; puffing and clutching at straws by the much leaner; meaner; fitter and skilled film stars who dazzled the thousands of fans who turned up to cheer their favourites.......
 Self styled Narendra Modi fan; yoga guru Baba Ramdev presented his very own ensemble of Yoga and footballing skills that had the fawning audiences going ga ga and raving for more as the dextrous Baba show cased such sublime skills that could put many a current Indian footballer in the shade........
Amidst much back slapping; thrills; spills and gay mirth; this much anticipated coming together of film stars and politicos more than ended up achieving it's primary objective as it ended up netting an impressive sum in excess of Rs. 2.5 crore for the two above mentioned flagship programmes and also raised the prevailing levels of public awareness about the same........

YET ANOTHER HUMAN HORROR......

One wonders why fellow humans procreate or then reproduce if they are not willing to discharge their responsibilities and duties towards their own offspring.........
Giving birth is purely a matter of deliberate;informed and considered choice and surely not a matter of choice or then something ordained or showered upon wannabe mothers by the almighty as all self appointed "authorities" on religious matters would have us believe.........

Constable Tej Pratap Singh who had gone to answer nature's call found the piteously wailing infant in the said toilet in the vicinity of the Bareilly railway station and duly informed the Station Master of the same station about his dainty discovery.........
 The station master and one of his subordinates took custody of the newborn as soon as the train arrived at the Bareilly Railway Station and rushed the weakly infant to the nearby state government run hospital where it lost it';s battle for life a mere two hours or so after being admitted to the medical facility........
 A legally mandated and sanctioned post mortem was carried out on the mortal remains of the female child who was discarded like an used rag or then unwanted possession and both the local as well as Railway police/protection personnel have begun the unenviable tack of trying to trace the deceased's parents........

 According to denizens of the city a number of posts on facebook and other social networking sites gave rise to this seemingly endless and utterly fruitless speculation about whether or not the above mentioned ten rupee coin was still being minted by the Reserve Bank of India and it's acceptability as legal tender.......
 These unfounded rumours and innuendos have even seen many a concerned Faridabadi making a beeline towards his nearest bank branch to voluntarily surrender or rather exchange all the ten rupee coins in his/her possession with the far more acceptable and seemingly permissible ten rupee notes.......
 Alarmed; disturbed and perturbed by this new found public aversion to the age old ten rupee coins in circulation; the assistant manager of the Neelam Chowk Branch of the State Bank Of India (SBI) had to issue a statement to the effect that all the rumours and speculation about the RBI having declared the ten rupee note as persona non grata is nothing but the brain child of a hyper active and seemingly fertile imagination and is as far removed from fact and reality as can be........
 Any person or persons who steadfastly or the vehemently refuse to accept ten rupee coins can be punished/booked under the auspices of sections 489 A to E of the Indian Penal Code and punished with a jail sentence ranging between six months to two years; the statement issued by Mr. Ahuja tersely concludes.......
 One only hopes and prays that this statement/clarification/rejoinder issued by a renowned authority on all banking/legal tender related issues once and for all puts all idle and wholly irrelevant speculation about the much maligned ten rupee coin to rest and coerces all those shopkeepers and traders who hitherto refused to accept the same to change their strident stand and vehemence in this regard.......

As if the self styled and anointed "Sanskari" Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chief Pahlaj Nihalani and his bunch of cohorts were not enough of a head ache; here comes the news of the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC) mulling legal action against the makers of the forthcoming Tiger Shroff super hero saga "Flying Jatt"........
 Briefing the press or rather releasing a statement after the due completion of an emergent meeting of the above mentioned committee on Thursday; a spokesperson of committee chief Avtar Singh Makkar alluded to the fact that the Prabhandak Committee will not hesitate to initiate legal action against the producers of this flick if they did not voluntarily delete seemingly offensive and disparaging scenes from the film......
 Stating the objections of this supreme body that governs all Sikh Gurudwaras and other religious shrines and institutions; the very same spokesperson succinctly remarked that the sporting of the "Khanda" (a sacred and sacrosanct Sikh religious symbol) on the hero's back and other parts of his attire was both highly objectionable as well as deeply disrespectful of Sikh religious sentiments........
 "Hindi film producers seem to be taking the Sikh community for granted and repeatedly keep on insulting the Sikh community and continually hurting the community's religious sentiments by despicable and disparaging usage of Sikh religious symbols and the inappropriate and discriminatory portrayal of Sikhs in numerous films"; the statement released by the SGPC on Thursday afternoon goes on to say.......
 "An official communique on behalf of the committee was sent to the producers of the said film way back in November 2015 raising objections about the hero's attire and sporting of the sacred and revered "Khanda" on his back as well as other parts of his attire; but the same has failed to elicit any response till date and hence the Prabhandak Committee is constrained to take legal recourse in order to protect and preserve the sanctity of Sikh religious symbols and their blatant and wilful misuse by certain sections of the Hindi Film Industry"; the very same statement concludes........
 I for one have long held the opinion that this never ending nonsense about hurting religious sentiments and other such related matters is causing irreparable harm and severely constricting the constitutionally guaranteed right to freedom of expression and such other creative freedoms and would hence advice the producers to release the film in it's present form and shape and if the SGPC initiates legal action against them then so be it as someone or the other seems to set right this ongoing nonsense about religious sentiments and so and so forth........

 Posting a picture of the dapper Pakistani middle order batsman on his twitter account in which Akmal is seen posing with four of his beloved cricket bats; Viru saucily remarks that the tragedy lies in the fact that Akmal can do no right in the esteemed and supposedly informed opinion of the Pakistani selectors.......

 In what must surely qualify as the mother of all official gaffes or snafus; an excise sub inspector was "routinely" transferred or then shunted from Kolhapur to Nashik; so what's the big deal you may well ask as such transfers take place with nauseating regularity......
What makes this seemingly mundane and unremarkable transfer truly different from all the rest is the incontrovertible and indisputable fact that the gent (sub inspector) who was transposed from Kolhapur to Nashik passed away or departed this world owing to the grievous injuries suffered by him in a tragic and utterly avoidable road accident........
 According to pertinent information posted on the state government's official website excise sub inspector Sandip Sabale was translocated from one city to the other along with 181 other counterparts from the very same department with orders for the same being issued by the chief minister's secretariat or office on July 14; 2016........
 This "emperor" of official bunglings came to light on the eventful day of July 20 when Sabale did not report for duty in his new place of posting as officially ordained; a meticulous perusal of his personal file by a concerned official threw up the fact that the said sub inspector had departed to meet his maker way back in March 2013........
 In an effort to cover it's back or then save it's skin; the concerned officials within the supposedly sacrosanct and hallowed chief minister's office (CMO) have summarily suspended the clerk who typed the erroneous transfer list and issued a show cause notice to the excise superintendent of Kolhapur for his pronounced inability to apprise the chief minister's office about the "official" status of this nondescript sub inspector who is more than enjoying his due share of the limelight in the august company of the good lord's "divine' angels..........
 Has this tragi comic episode or incident affirmed or then kindled your belief in the after life???? I for one certainly do not know the answer to that one but can certainly affirm or reinforce the unpalatable fact that this first of it's kind transfer has certainly made the chief minister's office a laughing stock and comedy circus.......

 A school teacher from Montgomery Alabama (USA) was clandestinely filmed by a bystander in Antigua (Guatemala) while in the fact of gallantly bestowing his shoes on an elderly homeless gent who is seemingly overwhelmed by this act of all to rare kindness and compassion.........
This video which was posted on numerous social networking sites was posted a little after 6 pm or so (GMT) by the awestruck soul who filmed this anonymous gent in the act of taking off his pricey pair of sports shoes and more than willingly handing them over to the elderly gent who is clad in bedraggled clothes that have certainly seen better days........
 He then proceeds to walk away from the scene in his bare feet after exchanging a word or two with the homeless person and patting him on the shoulder; the more than obviously disbelieving homeless soul simply cannot believe his luck and good fortune to begin with but then reacts by calling out to his benefactor and waving out to his rapidly receding form.........
 What is even more heartening and inspiring is the fact that both gentlemen involved in the nearly extinct transaction seem to be content with their actions; the school teacher is more than happy to give away his material possession without batting an eyelid and the impoverished elderly gent is hesitant at first but then accepts the gift with grace and humility........
 His elated and deliriously happy better half who happened to access this video which went viral within a matter of minutes after being posted by the person who shot the same responded by identifying her better half as a noble and caring school teacher from the afore mentioned part of the world and that his surname happens to be Brown Bradley......

 A long term resident of Aurangabad District's (Maharashtra State) Balapur Village; Kute who had imbibed his daily quota of his favourite tipple was infuriated beyond words with his daughter's repeated fumbling and decided to punish her by stuffing an onion down her throat in order to teach her a lesson.........
 Lo and behold; the 6 year old choked to death within a mere matter of minutes as the air supply to her lungs was interrupted by the offending onion and a remorseless and much chastened Kute decided to cover up his unpardonable crime by firstly clandestinely burying his daughter's mortal remains in the vicinity of the village's cremation ground and then proceeded to threaten his disconsolate and incoherent wife into grudging submission by holding out dire threats about her safety and continued existence in the ranks of the living..........
 Kute had his way till the dastardly (in his case) day of July 16 when his petrified and quaking better half haltingly conveyed the sordid details about her beloved daughters savage and inhuman murder to a doughty and conscientious neighbour who immediately made a beeline towards the areas police chowki and brought the matter of the murder most foul to the police sleuths notice........
 Swinging into action; the concerned police personnel firstly registered a FIR against the accused based on the verbal complaint filed by the good samaritan and subsequently proceeded to arrest Kute one the very same (July 16) evening from his favourite watering hole..........
 Kute confessed to his horrific and despicable crime in the presence of a judicial magistrate who remanded him to 21 days of judicial custody and a case of wilful and wanton murder was registered against him under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.........
 A post mortem carried out on the exhumed corpse of the deceased 6 year old confirmed the incontrovertible fact that her untimely death was caused due to asphyxiation and breathlessness and Kute is staring at a minimum of a life if not death sentence as the police has managed to build a watertight case against him based on his very own as well as better half's confessions as well as the conclusive and indisputable post mortem report......
 Like I mentioned earlier precious and irreplaceable human lives are certainly getting cheaper and that much more valueless with each passing day in our motherland.........

 Fables or folk tales do have this uncanny habit of coming true when least expected as this incident right out of the annals of Ripley's "Believe It Or Not" will more than conclusively prove...,.,
 An anonymous farmer hailing from the above mentioned state's Surajpur district and his beloved nephew could neither believe their luck and good fortune as they laid their usurpious and grubby palms on riches beyond their wildest imagination during the course of their customary task of ploughing their agricultural lands on a rather balmy Thursday afternoon........
 Phuleshwar Rajwade and his comrade in arms (his nephew Suraj Pratap) were hard at work when they were perturbed and disturbed by the fact that their trusty plough was repeatedly getting stuck at one particular spot during the course of their sweaty and weary travails.........
 Suraj Pratap had a brainwave and came up with the priceless idea of excavating the tract of land that was causing them problems and extricating the object or objects that were causing them untold problems....... The duo returned with shovels in a jiffy and proceeded to dig up the particular spot only to unearth an antique and priceless cache of 255 or so coins enclosed in a brass pot or container dating back to the period when Queen Victoria was the uncrowned empress of the India of that period........
 Elated beyond belief; the uncle and nephew could not contain themselves and started sharing the news about the source of their new found prosperity and wealth with all and sundry who happened to be in the vicinity........
A particularly conscientious and informed fellow villager rushed to the village headman's sprawling dwelling and duly informed him about the heady developments that had caused untoward turbulence in the otherwise nondescript existence of this village.....
 On being apprised of the developments taking place in his very backyard; the mukhiya (headman) proceeded to telephonically inform the officer in charge of the local police station who rushed to the spot with a team of four constables in tow........
 They put a dampener on the seemingly intoxicating proceedings and quashed the uncle and nephew's fond and rosy dreams of turning crorepatis overnight by confiscating the brass pot or container and taking the same in their custody while another constable proceeded to inform the District Magistrate about the same........
 On hearing of the news; the District Magistrate and other high ranking officials reached the spot assessed the situation and proceeded to take the pot containing the veritable treasure under their wing while bringing the news about the unearthing of the same to the notice of the Raipur based Assistant Superintendent of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI)........
 All is well that ends well as the seemingly priceless treasure trove is now firmly ensconced within the Raipur office of the ASI as the prevalent Indian Treasure Trove Act 1878 more than lucidly states the incontrovertible fact that any amount of money; coins; gold; silver or precious jewellery that is unearthed up to a depth of three feet below the ground automatically becomes the government of India's property and the land owner or then person who unearths the same shall have no claim whatsoever over the same........
 So much for the fond dreams nurtured by Rajwade and Suraj Pratap about selling their new found treasure for crores of rupees and subsequently indulging their heart's every whim and fancy thanks to the windfall that had come their way.........
Reminds yours truly of an unforgettable scene right out of the Terence Hill Bud Spencer flick "Who Finds A Friend Finds A Treasure" where the two leading actors are woefully sweeping the floor outside the enclosure in which the priceless treasure unearthed or then unravelled by them is firmly ensconced for eternity and beyond.........

SENSELESS AND UTTERLY AVOIDABLE MURDER........

Is this the price one pays for confronting a gent committing a public nuisance and revelling in the fact that he was gaily committing the same.........
 Chandra Babu a 57 year old shopkeeper based in Kerala's Kollam district succumbed to the injuries inflicted on him by the driver who was urinating with gay abandon on an empty plot adjoining his shop....... According to fellow shopkeepers hailing from the same area each one of them without exception had tried their utmost to dissuade a group of errant drivers who would frequently urinate on the wall of the empty plot adjoining the shopping area in which their shops were located.........
 Matters however came to a head on the fateful Friday afternoon when a particularly enraged and incensed Babu confronted the accused driver who as per his nocturnal and despicable habit was defiling the said wall once again.........
 Lo and behold; the alleged murderer who was at fault started mercilessly assaulting the 57 year old heart patient who collapsed in an unceremonious heap owing to the ferocity and savagery of the series of blows rained upon him........
 Fellow shopkeepers who rushed to his rescue bundled him up and rushed him to the nearest government hospital while a few others tried their utmost to apprehend the assailant but he somehow managed to escape their clutches and succeeded in making good his escape from the spot.......
 Sadly the grievously injured Chandra Babu succumbed to a massive cardiac arrest a mere four hours or so after being admitted to the afore mentioned medical facility and the doctors attending on him opined that the fatal heart attack was a result of the demonic assault.........
 Local police sleuths who were apprised of the tragic developments by both the government appointed doctors as well as the distraught and perturbed shopkeepers made a beeline towards the accused's modest dwelling on the outskirts of Kollam city only to be confronted with the gristly sight of his lifeless corpse dangling from the ceiling fan adorning his spartan living room.........
 It is being surmised that the murderous driver resorted to this extreme measure of ending his life as he was more than worried about the resulting consequences of his senseless assault on the elderly shopkeeper.........
 One only hopes and prays that the local corporation officials who have thus far turned a blind eye to the numerous shopkeepers entreaties and imploring about fencing off the vacant compound come to their senses after two precious and irreplaceable human lives were lost because of their criminal negligence and callousness..........
 In fact; I for one strongly advocate that the local law enforcement agencies book cases under the applicable sections of the Indian Penal Code against them for aiding and abetting murder a that will more than serve to shed their lethargy and galvanise them into action at long last........

MICHAEL CARBERRY DIAGNOSED WITH A CANCEROUS TUMOUR........

Life has this uncanny and unerring ability to clout you in the face when you least expect it to........
 Ask the long suffering former England opening batsman Michael Carberry who has heroically and stoically battled innumerable illnesses in the past and emerged triumphant every single time.....
 Carberry who has represented his nation with rare distinction in all three formats of the game and pitched his tent in the Hampshire camp for the last decade and a bit has now been diagnosed with a malignant cancerous tumour according to a press release released by the Hampshire county cricket club authorities on Thursday evening.......
 Michael was feeling unwell for the last few weeks and went to see a specialist onboth Tuesday as well as Wednesday who put him through a series of tests and confirmed that he was afflicted by a suspected cancerous growth in one of his lungs; the same statement went on to say........
 "Carbs" as he is fondly called or the referred to by his legion of friends and well wishers had previously suffered from multiple blood clots in his chest in the year of the lord 2011 and more than successfully beaten the scourge that then threatened to end his prospering life rather prematurely.........
Further tests are being carried out or then performed on "Carbs" and the team of cancer specialists will determine the duration; course and nature of treatment once all the test are over and done with and the results of the same have been obtained........
 "Carbs" has beaten seemingly insurmountable odds time and again owing to his inherent ability to surmount every obstacle with all too rare courage; determination and perseverance and we have no doubt whatsoever that he will more than triumphantly battle the latest malaise to afflict or then besiege him and emerge unscathed and unscarred as he has done every single time in the past; the press statement concluded........
 Here's wishing this indomitable 35 year old cricketer who is a living example of courage; fortitude; determination and last but not the least ability to beat seemingly insurmountable odds every single time a speedy recovery and many more years of cricketing glory and success........

Here is some long overdue and more than welcome news for all fawning fans of the downright hilarious "Golmaal" franchise.......
 According to news emanating from producer-director-anchor Rohit Shetty's production house; the much vaunted Ajay Devgn Rohit Shetty duo are all set to combine forces and recreate the on screen magic and mayhem associated with "Golmaal" for the fourth time........
 Avowed fans of this iconic franchise may be more than aware of the fact that the first instalment of this laugh a minute series starring Ajay Devgn; Arshad Warsi; Sharman Joshi; Tusshar Kapoor; Sushmita Mukherjee and Rimi Sen in stellar or then the leading roles in the same and was coincidentally released on this very day way back in 2006........
The unprecedented success of the first instalment spawned two further versions of the same titled "Golmaal Returns" and Golmaal 3" both of which hit the screens during the Diwali weeks of 2008 and 2010 respectively and more than outdid it's predecessors at the box office.........
 Messrs Shetty and Devgn jointly released a statement saying that they were more than elated to announce the launch of the fourth instalment of this riotous series and the same will be titled "Golmaal Again" which will hit the screens during Diwali 2017.........

MY MOTHER TAUGHT ME.......

My mom taught me, don't eat in front of others if you don't have enough for everyone, go without. If you have a party, and you invite your classmates, they are all invited. When I volunteer, I am the first to arrive and the last to leave. In light of recent events on the exclusion of an autistic child from participating in a school trip I feel the need to write this. There are boys and girls that nobody invites to birthdays, for example. There are kids with special needs who want to belong to a team, but are never selected, because it is more important to win. Children with special needs are not rare or strangers. They only want what everyone else wants: to be accepted!! May I ask a question? Is there anyone willing to copy and paste this post in your wall without sharing it, like I did for a friend? This is a request from a friend...

DISMAL AND APATHETIC STATE OF AFFAIRS........

Is this the transformation and revolution Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav promised with much fanfare almost four or so years ago........
Two Agra based young women were on Wednesday coerced into delivering their offspring in rather trying and arduous circumstances thanks to the apathy and criminal negligence on part of the authorities at the state government run Raya Primary Health Centre........
 Long term Kosikala resident Ravita's lower middle class family had to raise a seemingly exorbitant sum of money by any ways and means possible in order to facilitate the safe and secure delivery of her triplets in a super speciality private hospital as the afore mentioned government run medical facility neither had the equipment or wherewithal to carry out or perform the requisite cesarean section to announce or herald the arrival of the three little one's into this world........
 Thank the lord for his mercies and benevolence as both the mother and her three bundles of joy are in fine fettle and doing better than expected according to the gynaecologist who performed the cesarean section procedure and heralded the trio's arrival in the land of the living........
 In the second incident; 26 year old Anita who was admitted to the very same hospital late on Tuesday evening as she was experiencing excruciating labour pains and agonising contractions delivered her little one on the bustling main road on which the said hospital is located as she was "suffocated if not entirely asphyxiated" by the stifling atmosphere in the maternity ward of the now infamous hospital as the ceiling fans simply refused to operate despite both her husband as well as ward boy's sterling efforts to coax some kind of life into them..........
 On being queried about the absence of the much desired and needed facilities within the precincts of the government run and funded medical facility; the chief medical officer Vivek Mishra firstly shrugged his shoulders in sheer frustration and utter hopelessness and then muttered the usual inanities about initiating a high level departmental enquiry into the imbroglio........
 To his credit however Mishra was able to produce the six letters or communiques he had sent to both his superiors as well as the state's health minister beseeching them to source the required equipment and other essentials at the earliest pending a suitable response from the concerned authorities.........
 One wonders whether Akhilesh remembers his oft repeated assurances and hosannas about making his state an "Uttam" Pradesh where the common man is king or has he conveniently forgotten his very own false sounding and hollow ringing utterances as he is unable to provide either the funds or equipment requisitioned by the state government run hospitals which are a sorry and pitiable picture of his government's criminal negligence and callous indifference........

HEADY AND CELEBRATORY TRIUMPH OF THE HUMANITARIAN SPIRIT ABOVE ALL ELSE........

Each or then should I say every single one of us would do well to emulate the 72 year Agra resident Liyakat Ali and tread upon the path that he has laid out for us.......
 At a time when man made barriers of caste; creed; religion; hate; violence and fratricide are ruling the roost; the above mentioned septagenarian has set a sterling example for others to follow and replicate.......
 Mr. Ali who has been married to his second wife Kirpa Devi for the last 36 and a bit years showed one and all that humanity is the only true religion and divinely sentiment by performing the last rites of his deceased second wife at Mathura's Moksha Dham early on Tuesday morning.......
According to Arif (Liyakat Ali's 34 year old son) his illustrious father was hopelessly besotted with his "second" mother and mustered up the courage and conviction to defy both his family; fellow villagers and disapproving members of his own religious denomination by marrying her as per Hindu traditions and bringing her home with the official sanction and approval of his doting and golden hearted first wife who happens to be a Mohammedan........
 Our family lived in perfect harmony and my beloved step or second mother under the same roof and every other family member more than willingly participated in Holi; Diwali; Dussehra; and other festivals and festivities with her as she did not have any children of her own and smothered me and my two other siblings with unadulterated love and maternal affection.........
 Her health however took a turn for the worse in recent months and she breathed her last at a local government hospital a little after 11 pm on Monday night following a prolonged illness; a morose and heartbroken Arif concludes........
 A living example/travesty/embodiment of the age old and much vilified dictum about "unity in diversity" me says and doffs his hat to this gallant soul who always put a premium on humanity rather than succumbing to societal and other religious pulls and pressures that were exerted on him for the last 36 years and more........

SECOND/RENEWED LEASE OF LIFE........

Trust the stormy petrel of English cricket Kevin Petersen to unerringly hit the nail on it's head every single time and comment on seemingly controversial issues without pulling his punches or mincing his words.........
 Following in his former team Graeme Swann's wake; Kevin quipped that disgraced Pakistani speedster Mohammad Aamir did not deserve a second chance or then an opportunity to redeem himself by playing cricket at the highest level as he had broken the sacrosanct eleventh and twelfth commandments of the game......
Taking on the powers that be within the ICC; Petersen raised questions about their so called wisdom and moral judgement in his weekly column in the Telegraphy and wondered why Aamir was given a second chance despite being found guilty of both match as well as spot fixing way back in 2010.........
 He further went on to justify his unequivocal and unapologetic stance by remarking that Aamir's triumphant return to international cricket was both a travesty of justice as well as the laid down rules and procedures of the game as fellow cricketers had been handed life bans for seemingly trivial wrong doings in the past by these very same "wise" men........
 While fully appreciating the fact that Aamir had risen from humble origins and the mind boggling sum of 50,000 pounds offered to him to ball no balls and wides must have seemed like a fortune to him at the time; Petersen alluded to the incontrovertible fact that Aamir was being more than adequately compensated for his exploits on the field by the Pakistan Cricket Board and hence his affinity for the big bucks and a lifestyle that was beyond his wildest dreams amounted to moral turpitude and an unforgivable betrayal of the trust and faith reposed in him by millions of Pakistani cricket fans and hence the ICC must revisit it's decision to let him return to international cricket after serving out his mandated five year ban..........
 According to Petersen; Aamir's so called innocence and naivety could neither be mitigating circumstances or then grounds on which he could be let off with the proverbial slap on the knuckles as the apology of a sentence handed down to him would only spur other teenaged cricketers to follow in his less than illustrious footsteps rather than dissuading them from doing the same........
All yours truly can say in conclusion is that he more than shares Kevin Petersen's sentiments and opinion on the same issue and fervently believes that the ICC has only succeeded in giving a fillip or then shot in the arm to match fixers and the like by giving Mohammad Aamir a second lease of life.......

Some people will go to any lengths to remain in the limelight no matter however insane and outlandish they may sound......
Controversy's favourite child Ms. Rakhee Sawant who has been out of the limelight for the last few years has finally found a lifeline in the form of the controversy surrounding Salman Khan's now infamous and deranged "rape" analogy and come out in staunch support of the beleaguered/barracked superstar........
 After her priceless gem (beseeching Prime Minister Modi to immediately ban the production of ceiling fans in the country as they were spurring the numerous suicide attempts in her esteemed estimation) Ms. Sawant has more than succeeded in ensconcing both her feet in her mouth and how.......
 Taking potshots at all the well meaning and rightly intentioned folks who have questioned the veracity of Salman's "rape" analogy and demanded an unconditional public apology from him for the same; Ms. Sawant quipped that ":these folks are simply jealous of Salman's unprecedented popularity and superstardom and therefore trying to bask in reflected glory by taking potshots at him"........
She further justified her unstinted support for Salman by citing the so called exemplary work done by his charitable organisation "Being Human" and the marked difference that the same had made in the life and times of people who were thus far deprived of the bare essentials and raised questions about the mental acumen and capacities of all those folks who have been casting aspersions on the "godly" character of this man with a golden heart........
 And if the above mentioned utterances did not suffice she came up with this gem that alluded to the fact that an arch enemy or more than envious persons or persons must have conjoined energies and forces in an effort to dub the lines being attributed to Salman Khan in their petty and distasteful effort to besmirch and tarnish his spotless reputation and standing within the Indian social set up and nation as a whole.......
 Move over Kapil Sharma; Ms. Rakhee or then is it Rakhi Sawant is here to hog her share of the limelight and replace you as the nation's "funnyman" with such priceless gems that will have your rolling in the aisles for the next few hours if not days and weeks......

 Rishi (Chintu) Kapoor certainly seems to be having more than his fair share of cake and relishing the same too what with news regarding him being conferred with the much coveted "excellence in cinema" award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne just trickling in........
 A statement released on behalf of the governing council of the same cited his immense and invaluable contribution to Hindi cinema over the last three decades and lauded him for enriching the lives of fellow Indians with his incomparable histrionic talents and stellar performances in immortal flicks like "Bobby"; "Amar Akbar Anthony"; "Hum Kisise Kum Naheen"; "Chandni"; "Damini"; "Do Dooni Chaar" and so on and so forth........
 Mr. Kapoor has also been invited to grace the occasion with his better half and discharge the role of the chief guest at the sixth edition of this prestigious award ceremony which is slated to be held in Melbourne between August 11 and 20........

 For the unitiated and ill informed folks; here's a recap of the tumultuous events that led to Ms. Puryakastha's rather premature and grotesque departure from planet earth on a sinister and macabre 2012 late night........
 One would also do well to recall the fact that Pallavi was one amongst a band of lawyers who used to represent Farhan's production house Excel Entertainment and was more than acquainted with Farhan both in a professional as well as personal capacity.........
 Her promising and meaningful life was snuffed out in an instant by the accused Mughal in 2012 when she resolutely and more than bravely thwarted his unwelcome and unwarranted sexual overtures made by the accused who gained entry into her home and hearth a little after 1 am or so on the ill fated day and mercilessly stabbed her to death when she refused to accede to his demonic demands for sexual gratification........
 Sajjad who was apprehended from Mumbai's iconic CST terminus minutes before he could board a train bound for his Uttar Pradesh based hometown was subsequently sentenced to life imprisonment or then a life sentence by the Mumbai High Court and was serving out the same.........
 For some bizarre and logic defying reasons Mughal was granted parole by the now suspended Jail Superintendent and has been at large for the last three and a bit months after jumping parole and thereby raising relevant and pointed questions about the arbitrary and whimsical manner in which parole is being granted to murderers; maniacs; sexual deviants; et al by jail superintendents for all kinds of reasons.......
 Farhan who had launched his Men Against Rape and Discrimination (MARD) nationwide movement in 2013 as a plaintive and heart rending cry against the untold and heinous atrocities being committed against scores of Indian women of all denominations and ages took to his facebook page and urged all fellow Indians to keep an eagle eye out for this elusive criminal who has so far been successful in his nefarious attempts to cock a snook at the Indian judicial system and law enforcement authorities and inform the nearest police station as soon as they came across any sign of this fugitive whose profile is prominently displayed on Farhan's facebook page; twitter and Instagram accounts........
 I am certainly keeping an eagle eye out for any signs or traces of this fugitive from justice and implore every well meaning; conscientious and caring fellow Indian to do the same as the fear of the law has to be well and truly instilled into the minds and souls of such demons and satan worshippers if we want to eradicate crimes against women from our midst.........

There are certainly no permanent friends or foes within the political realm or sphere only rank opportunists who flit from one party to the other........
 Former Bharatiya Janata Party MLA; senior and revered Gujarat High Court Lawyer; party spokesperson and last but not the least incumbent BJP party president Amit Shah confidante Yatin Oza has taken all and sundry by surprise by announcing his intentions of switching allegiances and pitching his tent within the Aam Party compound........
 Oza who had unsuccessfully contested as an independent candidate against serving prime minister Narendra Modi for the Maninagar Assembly seat way back in 2002 subsequently went on to join the BJP and also represented the party in the Gujarat Assembly by annexing the Sabarmati Assembly constituency in the next two following elections.........
 Confirming his decision to join the Aam Aadmi Party and strengthen the hands of Messrs Kejriwal and company; Oza reaffirmed that he will not be contesting the forthcoming Gujarat Assembly elections as an AAP candidate but solely be concentrating his energies to highlight the numerous failures and gaffes of what he terms as "the most corrupt and inefficient government in the country led by India's most inept and inefficient chief minister"...........
 He also alluded to the fact that he would be heading towards the national capital on July 12; 2016; formally join the Aam Aadmi party and have extensive confabulations with AAP's think tank about the ways and means of evolving a fool proof strategy that ensures the party's success at the political hustings in the next assembly elections slated to be held in 2017.........

 If the industry grapevine is to be believed; veteran actor par excellence Rishi Kapoor has been roped in by director Kannan Iyer to essay the role of shooting icon Abhinav Bindra's father in an upcoming biopic on the only shooter to have done the nation proud by winning a gold medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics....... According to a source close to the proposed film; Kannan spent more than three years doing his research on Abhinav and the rest of the Bindra clan before firming up his script and going ahead with the pre production of the same.......
 Kannan in his infinite wisdom decided to shoot this forthcoming inspirational flick as a tale of a committed and dedicated father who spared no effort or expense in ensuring that the apple of his eye (Abhinav Bindra) reached the pinnacle of glory in his favourite shooting event and Abhinav on his part has been more than gracious enough to candidly admit that he owes both his father as well his coach an inestimable debt of gratitude for his unprecedented success and celebrity status.......
Though Kannan is yet to firm up his choice of the male actor who will essay the title role of Abhinav Bindra in the film that is slated to hit the screens in the last quarter of 2017; an enthralled and enthusiastic Rishi Kapoor has already began priming himself to play the dream role of Apjit Bindra a principled; disciplined; upright and distinguished gentleman who dreamt seemingly inachieveable dreams for his darling son and was unstinting and unrelenting in both his support and efforts to transform these fond dreams into a concrete reality........
 Sir (Rishi Kapoor) is also kicked about his role in this particular film as his very own son and apple of his eye Ranbir Kapoor shares his birth date and year (September 28;1982) with Abhinav; the source bashfully signs off........
 Here's wishing this forthcoming biopic the very best and hoping that is sets a benchmark for other similar and dissimilar biopics to follow in it's wake........

POINTLESS MURDER THAT DEFIES THE REALMS OF LOGIC AND SENSE.......

Eid was not only deathly and devastating for Bangladeshi security forces and innocents but also a Thiruvananthapuram based lady who was bludgeoned to death by her crazed husband........
 According to police sources 29 year old Sanuja who was married to the accused 32 year old Abdul Khader some 9 or so years ago and had also borne him two off springs aged 7 and 1 respectively...... Khader had returned home from Muscat on June 30 in order to celebrate Eid with his family and was constantly taunting and accusing his wife about her having entered into an extra marital relationship with a gent from the same locality in order to satisfy her carnal needs and sexual desires.......
 Matters came to a head on a rainy and fateful Wednesday (June 6; 2016) night when the family returned home at around 11 pm or so after having satiated their hunger pangs at a famous eatery situated a few kilometres away from their modest dwelling........
 A particularly piqued; enraged and irate Khader picked a particularly bitter and acrimonious quarrel with his better half Sanuja a few minutes after she had returned from her beloved kid's bedroom after putting them to sleep and the same culminated her premature and needless departure from the land of the living as Khader throttled her to death with his bare hands.......
 Realising the enormity and possible ramifications/consequences of his dastardly act he tried to cover his tracks by hoisting his senseless wife by a rope tied to the ceiling fan in their living room but soon gave up this futile pursuit and fled from the crime scene as he had woefully failed in his amateurish attempts to alter the crime scene........;
 Neighbours and fellow residents from the locality failed to realise the gravity of the situation as they were inured to these frequent and routine quarrels between the forever squabbling couple and dismissed the fracas on Wednesday night as yet another routine flare up between the warring couple.......
 Khader's younger sibling who was more than aware of his brother's murderous rage had brought the fact that things/matters or then the relationship between the couple was souring beyond the point of no return to Sujana's parents notice and he made a beeline towards the couple's residence when his numerous calls made to his brother's mobile went unheeded and unanswered.........
 He was shocked beyond belief when he discovered Sanuja's unconscious body lying in an unceremonious heap on the living room floor and rushed the same to a nearby private hospital in his car where the doctors who attended to her pronounced her brought dead on arrival........
These very same doctors proceeded to inform the local police sleuths who arrived at the hospital within 45 minutes or so after being informed about these distasteful developments and promptly dispatched Sanuja's mortal remains for the legally mandated post mortem..........
 A case of wilful and wanton murder has since been registered against the absconding Abdul Khader under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code and two police teams have been expressly constituted in order to trace his whereabouts and apprehend him at the earliest........
 One only hopes and prays that this remorseless demon is soon brought to book and made to pay the due consequences of his dastardly and despicable actions as his being at large might just end up all giving all such wannabes contemplating similar devilish deeds and actions the added fillip to go ahead with their desires and pinings.......
