UNASSAILABLE ROAD RAGE CLAIMS IT'S LATEST VICTIM.........

Uncontrollable and unassailable road rage claimed it's latest victim in the national capital region in the wee hours of Monday morning.........
 According to high ranking Noida police sleuths; 24 year old Uber cab driver Gaurav; his cousin Monu and a third gent identified as their close friend and confidante were returning after attending a wedding in the national capital's Trilokpuri locality and were making their way back to home and hearth when the tragic incident occurred.......
 Gaurav who was behind the steering of his self owned Uber cab had successfully managed to negotiate his way onto Noida's sector 14 A flyover (a stone's throw away from the Senior Superintendent of Police's office) when he momentarily lost control over his vehicle and ended up grazing a car and motorcycle in that order at around 12:30 am or so on the fateful Monday morning (wee hours of Monday morning)........
 Incensed beyond words and all reasonable belief the three men who had overtaken the victim's cab from the wrong side and the gent driving his own car made a beeline towards Gaurav's cab that had in the meanwhile come to an abrupt halt and proceeded to brutally assault Gaurav; Monu and their friend with a screwdriver after a brief and heated exchange of insults and epithets........
 Gaurav who was at the receiving end of the ire of the four enraged and infuriated men received six or so fatal stab injuries on vital parts of his anatomy and collapsed in a heap and lay quivering in a rapidly increasing pool of his own blood while the other two gents accompanying him were much luckier and escaped with minor injuries........
 Leaving their victim in this piteous and life threatening state; the four assailants suddenly realised the gravity of the situation and the possible consequences of their murderous assault and hence took to their heels in the batting of an eyelid.........
 Police personnel from the afore mentioned SSP's office who were alerted by the sounds of the unruly fracas rushed to the crime scene and immediately proceeded to rush the mortally injured Gaurav to the nearest medical facility where the doctors on duty at the time pronounced him brought dead on arrival.......
 As is the norm in all such cases the Noida sector 20 police sleuths have registered a case under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the four yet to be identified accused who were also immensely helped by the absence of any CCTV cameras at the spot where they had committed a crime that ended up claiming the life of a 24 year old life who left this world prematurely leaving behind a grieving and inconsolable family and millions of unfulfilled dreams in his wake........
 Is a minor and trivial coming together of vehicles cause enough to terminate a precious and invaluable human life???? well I will let each one of you pronounce your judgement on this one.......

MAJOR OVERHAUL IN ZIMBABWEAN CRICKETING SET UP.......

Heads have rolled and how just before the Zimbabwe-India One Day International and T 20 series slated to begin on June 11; 2016......
 Citing the dismal performance of their cricket team that was knocked out in the qualifying stages of the recently held T 20 World Cup; Zimbabwean cricketing authorities terminated head coach Davenell (Dave) Whatmore's contract that still had the best part of three years remaining.......
 They also sacked captain Hamilton Masakadza from his exalted post in all three formats of the glorious game and instead appointed his deputy Graeme Cremer as captain in all three formats with immediate effect.......
 A terse statement released by the Zimbabwean Cricket Control Board said that these decisions were taken in view of the fact that both the above mentioned individuals had failed in their assigned duties to galvanise and inspire the team to grater deeds and sterling heights and hence were being penalised for their failures........
 Current bowling coach (former South African speedster) Makhaya Ntini will don the head coach's mantle until Zimbabwean Cricket Control Board bigwigs find a suitable replacement for the sacked Whatmore and have also picked/appointed former South African all rounder Lance "Zulu" Klusener as the beleaguered team's new batting coach for the next three years to begin with........
 With a second string Indian side visiting their shores for a three match ODI as well as T 20 series beginning June 11; the Zimbabwean cricketing authorities are hoping and praying that these drastic changes in coaching as well as cricketing personnel will turn around the sagging fortunes of a struggling team that has promised much but delivered precious little when it matters the most........

LAW MAKERS OR LAW BREAKERS????

Trust the Uttar Pradesh police to set new trends in barbarity and inhumanity every single time.......
 50 year old Sittu a cobbler by profession learnt the same to his dismay and consternation when he went to Muzaffarnagar's Charthawal Police Station to register a missing complaint pertaining to the disappearance of his beloved and cherished mobile phone on the fateful morning of May 30; 2016......
 Instead of registering his complaint; the writer on duty at the afore mentioned police began barraging and haranguing Sittu with a volley of totally irrelevant and unrelated questions pertaining to his caste and profession and subsequently issued a primeval diktat stating that Sittu's complaint would only be registered after he had polished both his as well as the other constables and officers shoes to their satisfaction........
 What is even more galling and disconcerting is the fact that none of the police personnel manning the precincts of the now infamous police thana at the time offered or proffered to pay Sittu a single naya paisa for the services rendered by him in lieu of the much desired registration of his complaint and instead demanded their pound of flesh for performing the duty that they were being considerable sums of money for........
 Their goose was however cooked when a gent who had entered the compound of the very same police chowki captured this grotesque incident on his mobile phone and uploaded the 90 or second video of Sittu's misery and haplessness on various social networking sites........
 Lo and behold!!!! the afore mentioned video went "viral" within the batting of a proverbial eyelid and regular users of the very same social networking sites soon began trolling and panning the Uttar Pradesh Police and it's nocturnal or rather "eccentric" tendencies forcing the Senior Superintendent of Police to take due cognisance of the litany of acerbic comments as well as barrage of complaints about similar treatment being meted out to so called "lower caste denizens" who were demeaned and disgraced by these "protectors and enforcers" of the law who had ended up becoming a law unto themselves and the bane of the common man's existence........
 As things stand at the present moment; the writer; four constables and sub-inspector of police who were more than willing accomplices in this hellish have been suspended and a departmental enquiry has also been ordered against them; they have also been asked to tender an unqualified and remorseful written apology to Sittu and give a written undertaking about refraining from such despicable acts throughout the remainder of their service tenures.......
 Are these stereotyped; hackneyed and much abused measures punishment enough for the ignominy meted out to Sittu or then should these repeat offenders be sent packing without any pensionary or any other monetary benefits; I think I will reserve my comments on this one and let each one of you pass your very own judgements and verdicts on this vexatious issue/matter........

UTTERLY COMPELLING AND CONVINCING ARGUMENT........

BCCI technical committee chairman Sourav "Dada" Ganguly's suggestions regarding current Indian cricketers signing short term contracts with English and other county clubs makes immense sense to me at least.......
 "Dada" as he is affectionately referred to by both present day and former cricketers made this highly relevant and long overdue suggestion during the course of a recent meeting of the afore mentioned committee that was attended by both the newly appointed BCCI president and secretary Anurag Thakur and Ajay Shirke.........
 Citing the example of the Delhi Daredevils IPL franchise skipper Zaheer Khan succinctly remarked that Zaheer was a transformed bowler after a highly successful and lucrative six month long stint with a first division English county team and the skills and dexterity acquired by him during these six months helped him play an integral role in team India winning test matches in England; Australia; South Africa; New Zealand and last but not the least Pakistan........
Furthering the case of current Indian players of the likes of Rohit Sharma; Cheteshwar Pujara; Shikhar Dhawan; Varun Aaron; Ravichandran Ashwin and Umesh Yadav (to name just a few) "Dada" forcefully put forth a rather convincing and plausible argument about these cricketers benefiting immensely from similar stinsts with English first division counties and urged the BCCI bigwigs to initiate immediate negotiations with both their English Cricket Board counterparts as well as county sides so that present day Indian cricketers could sign up for English county sides between June and August (just after the conclusion of the IPL and commencement of the Indian domestic as well as international fixtures) as the experience gained through two or more such county stints would not only serve to embellish their already formidable cricketing skills but also equip them with the "tools" required to excel in alien conditions where team India has traditionally struggled to make an impression......
 One may do well to remember the fact that the BCCI bigwigs have more often than not espoused the view that Indian cricketers should not be allowed or then dissuaded from participating in "foreign" T 20 and county leagues/championships as their participation would only serve to undermine and lower the brand value of the so called premier T 20 domestic league (in the entire cricketing world) namely the IPL) but also recently bent it's rigid and inflexible stance on the very same issue by allowing a former Indian cricketer to become a team member of a Bangladeshi T 20 side in their version of the IPL......
 One only hopes that better sense and wisdom prevails within the echelons of the BCCI after "Dada" Ganguly's compelling and clinical argument thereby enabling Indian cricketers to explore "uncharted" territories and gain immensely from such cricketing stints.........

PRESENT DAY MAHABHARAT........

Brace yourselves for a present day enactment of a rather infamous and despicable episode from the eternal war saga the "Mahabharat"..........
 One would do well to recall the rather infamous episode in the above mentioned epic in which Yudhishthir ends up putting the honour; chastity and persona of Draupadi at stake and in an almost identical enactment of the same a Kanpur based gent who answers to the name of Ravinder Singh ended up pledging his unsuspecting wife of five years standing to fellow gamblers who had laid down stakes on the two teams contesting the just concluded IPL grand finale........
 An inveterate; habitual and compulsive gambler; Singh a long term resident of the city's Govind Nagar locality legally married his better half Jasmeet Kaur a little over five or so years ago and subsequently proceeded to squander away both his personal assets as well as those acquired by him by way of the considerable dowry given to him by his in laws at the time of his nuptials by whimsically investing the same in dubious shares; mutual funds as well as placing bets on any sporting event that caught his fancy.......
Matters however came to a head on a fateful Sunday (May 29; 2016) night or then should I say early Monday morning when a hapless and blissfully unaware Jasmeet was barraged by a series of incessant and suggestive telephone calls from various lewd gents who alluded to the fact that they could do whatever they pleased with her as her supposedly beloved husband had put her at stake and proceeded to lose her as his chosen IPL team ended up on the losing side in the epic IPL finals........
 Keeping her wits about her even though she was dismayed; consternated and alarmed in equal measure by the seemingly rapacious telephone calls; the doughty and indomitable Jasmeet proceeded to inform one of her close friends and confidantes about the sordid plight that had befallen her as a result of her husband's unpardonable and dastardly deeds and her friend who heads a NGO dedicated to espousing and furthering the cause of neglected and tormented women made a beeline towards her home and hearth and subsequently proceeded to a neighbouring police station with Jasmeet in tow where they proceeded to file a written complaint against the absconding Ravinder Singh and the scores of gents who were threatening to sexually ravage Jasmeet........
 Jasmeet who had been silently suffering her husband's wanton and wilful philanderings over the last five and a bit years enlightened the police sleuths about the unpleasant facts that her husband had squandered away every rupee and valuable commodity that the couple owned and was on the verge of disposing their only remaining material asset namely their modest two bedroom residence when the IPL fiasco unfolded with bewildering rapidity......
 Cases against the absconding Singh have since been registered under all the applicable sections of the Indian Penal Code and three police teams expressly constituted for the very purpose have been entrusted with the onerous responsibility of tracing his whereabouts and apprehending him at the earliest.......
 While I do not subscribe to the age old theory pertaining to "an eye for an eye"; I am more than willing to make an exception in this case and ardently believe that the sorry apology for a man (Ravinder Singh) should firstly be arrested and subsequently be handed over to such gents who are inclined towards inflicting sexual perversions and depravities on denizens of the same sex as that and only that would make him see the error of his ways and put paid to any desires and wishes of continuing with his abysmal and hellish ways..........

JUNGLE RAJ 2.0.........

Jungle Raj 2.0 seems to have manifested itself in Bihar notwithstanding Nitish Kumar's lame duck denials and protestations of innocence.......
 In the latest instance of lawlessness and scant respect for the law of the land reported from Patna four youths allegedly detained/confined a distribution executive of a leading national English daily for more than three hours; assaulted him repeatedly and even bludgeoned him with a pistol butt in an effort to show off their misplaced machismo and misogyny.......
 According to the victim 42 year old Rakesh Kumar who is recovering from the grievous injuries inflicted by him by his four abductors at a Patna hospital; the heinous incident occurred a little past 2 am or so in the wee hours of Saturday morning when he was on his way back to his Kumrahr home after completing his assigned duties for the day.........
 Owing to the twin facts that the road that he was motoring on was completely bereft of street lights and the SUV being driven by the four accused was without rear lights as well as a licence plate; Kumar's trusted motorcycle ended up brushing against the said vehicle and ended up infuriating the four youths who were inside the same beyond belief.......
Two youths; one of whom was menacingly brandishing a country made revolver got down/alighted from the vehicle/SUV and made a beeline towards a profusely apologising Kumar who magnanimously offered to pay for the scratches and negligible damage caused by him to their steed......
 Disregarding Kumar's entreaties with utter disdain and criminal contempt; one youth began raining a series of painful blows on various parts of the victim's anatomy; while the second proceeded to brutally attack him with the butt of the desi katta......
They then proceeded to unceremoniously drag a protesting and reluctant Kumar into the dingy confines of the same vehicle and drove away from the accident spot at top speed within the batting of an eyelid even as one of Kumar's colleagues who was following in his wake noticed the sordid fate that had befallen him and proceeded towards the Shastri Nagar police station to register an official complaint.......
 Kumar's worst nightmare only got even more sinister and life threatening as his four tormentors kept driving around Patna's streets for the next three hours or so while keeping up the assault on him all the while; sanity deigned on them after all this time and one of the four men alighted from the vehicle at an ATM located on the city's Fraser Road armed with Kumar's ATM card and proceeded to clean out his account that had a little more than Rs. 2500 stashed in the same.......
 Sozzled to the gills as they were; the four murderous men mistook the same amount to be Rs. 25,000/- and hence began battering Kumar with renewed ferocity and vigour demanding more money than the amount that they had managed to extricate from his bank account all the while......
 Fearing for his sanity; life and limb; the executive even offered to part with the Rs. 800 or so that he was carrying in his wallet but the proffered amount did not satisfy the lust or then insatiable greed of the criminals who continued their demonic assault....... Sheer providence or then should I say negligent driving on the part of the driver ended up saving Kumar's life as the inebriated driver momentarily lost control over the steering and ended up crashing into a lamp post within touching distance of the Patna Railway station........
 Somehow managing to keep their collective wits about them; the four fugitives alighted from the considerably damaged vehicle that steadfastly refused to restart after the crash and fled from the accident site leaving a profusely bleeding and much chastened Kumar behind in the mangled vehicle......
 Nosey parkers who were drawn to the accident site took due cognisance of Kumar's heart rending physical condition and rushed him to a leading hospital where he is recuperating from the numerous injuries inflicted by the four monsters on his face and head.......
 In the meanwhile police sleuths who had arrived at the hospital (read the Senior Superintendent of Police) with two junior officers in tow duly proceeded to record Kumar's statement and exuded confidence about apprehending the still at large four wanted criminals who have reportedly been identified owing to the recovery of their driving licences and other such documents from the SUV in which Kumar was imprisoned for a little over three hours.........
Will Messrs Nitish Kumar and Laoo Prasad Yadav take due cognisance of the rapidly deteriorating law and order situation within their state and iniitiate the much desired and long awaited remedial measures forthwith or then will they continue to persist with their nocturnal tendency of dismissing all reports about the same as the handiwork of vested interests who are out to besmirch the supposedly spotless and blemish free reputation of the government of the day; well your surmise on this one is as good or bad as mine is......

CRIME AND PUNISHMENT........

When if ever will the governments ruling the states of Uttar Pradesh; Bihar; Haryana; Madhya Pradesh; Odisha and the like where the diktat of self styled and appointed "khap panchayats" holds sway pay heed to the repeated admonishments and acerbic remarks made about the learned judges about the locus standi of the same and rein in these unlawful bodies that have become the bane of many a villagers existence.........
 In yet another instance of haughtiness; lawlessness; crudity; absurdity and last but not the least scant respect for the law of the land a khap panchayat that was expressly constituted to rule on the vexatious issue/crime of a clumsy/ham handed attempt made by a 14 year old minor to sexually assault a 24 year old married woman; the khap decided to condone the errant juveniles behaviour by ordering his father to rain five blows on his persona with a shoe as due punishment for his sexual misadventures and thereby put an end to this controversial matter.......
 According to the family members of the molestation/attempted rape attempt survivor; the 14 year old accused tried to take undue advantage of the fact that his intended victim was grazing her cattle all by herself in one of the numerous green expanses dotting Barhan village (40 kms or so away from Agra) on the blazing afternoon of May 24;2016 and set upon with her with a raging ferocity that belied his years.........
 Managing to keep her wits; courage and indomitable will about her; the wannabe rapists intended victim/conquest not only warded of her tormentors advances with all her might but also repeatedly kept shouting for help at the top of her voice and her resounding screams drew the attention of fellow villagers who rushed to her aid and caught hold of the youth who forcefully wanted to subjugate his intended sexual conquest.........
 The 24 year old married woman's rescuers firstly beat the 14 year old accused black and blue and subsequently dragged him to the residence of the village head (mukhiya) who in his infinite wisdom decided to summon a panchayat comprising of ten supposedly "wise" men belonging to the two neighbouring villages.......
 As ordained/pre decided; the khap panchayat comprising of eleven self anointed "elders" assembled at the decided time of 11 am on May 27; 2016 and dispensed so called "punitive and reformative" justice with this seemingly insane and logic defying diktat of putting an end to this "hornet's nest" in the afore mentioned manner and also forbade any resident of the village to involve either the police or then any other legal authority as the involvement of the law enforcement agencies would only serve to "slur and besmirch" the fair and blemishless name of their beloved and revered village......
 Conforming to their age old habit and nocturnal tendency of turning a blind eye towards the sordid goings on in the villages falling under their jurisdiction; the senior police officer in charge of the Barhan police thana outrightly denied the occurrence of any such failed rape attempt and brusquely brushed aside all queries and questions pertaining to this law and order related issue by doling out the officious and pernicious excuse about the youth being administered the punishment decided upon by the khap panchayat as he committed the grave sin of stealing standing crops from a fellow villagers fields and was hence duly punished for his hellish sins in a befitting manner.......
 Is it any wonder then that the alarmingly spiralling crime statistics pertaining to crimes committed against hapless and defenceless women continue to abate and swell with alarming regularity despite the Supreme Court passing a plethora of laws guaranteed to ensure the safety and security of the nation's long suffering and continually oppressed womenfolk........

ON "SARKAR 3" AND MATTERS PERTAINING TO THE SAME......

I for one am certainly looking forward to feasting both my eyes as well as other senses on the third coming of this landmark film......
 Matinee idol; megastar; living legend and national icon has categorically confirmed the fact that both he and maverick film maker Ramgopal Varma have had detailed discussions about the third coming of the 2005 cult film "Sarkar" and will soon be sitting down to finalise the script and shooting schedules of the same......

 I for one will be ardently hoping that this "realistic caper" with a real rather than imagined difference will more than succeed in it's expressed or avowed intention of making people or then should I say Indians "act" rather than "react" as they have been doing for the last 70 years or so.........
 More significantly; I for one hope an pray that this film coerces us into questioning the bizarre and inhuman diktats passed by our self appointed and styled religious leaders whenever they please; end their hegemony and reign of holy terror and usher in an era where the divine spirit of humanism and brotherhood prevails over all else...........

When will most Indians stop carping; cribbing over every trivial and inconsequential matter that does not make an iota of difference in most people's daily existence.......
 An official police complaint has been registered against the Hindi film industry's iconic director-actor Ajay Devgn at the national capital's Tilak Nagar police station for allegedly hurting Hindu sentiments with the official release of his much awaited and anticipated third directorial venture "Shivaay" which is slated to hit screens worldwide this Diwali........
According to police sources this so called complaint was filed on behalf of an obscure and hitherto anonymous hardline Hindu outfit by it's president for life and alleges that the intense and brooding actor has insulted the Hindu community and caused immense pain ans suffering to the legions of Shiv Bhakts proliferating the entire length and breadth of Mother India with his unpardonable and despicable act of scaling a wall that sports a figure of Lord Shiva rather prominently with his shoes on.......
 Will somebody educate these ignoramuses and blithering idiots and impress upon them the fact that it is near impossible to scale a wall without shoes on as your bare feet might not provide you with the much desired traction required to scale the same while a pair of shoes with a rugged and ridged soul will.......
 More importantly and significantly one wonders whether these so called Shiv Bhakts faith and allegiance to their "beloved" Lord and Benefactor is so brittle and hypocritical that the very same is inexorably slighted by a pithy image of a gent scaling a wall that has the silhouette of the destroyer featuring prominently on the same........
 I for one firmly believe that these two bit organisations are seeking their fifteen minutes of fame and seeking public attention with such desperate and pitiable antics so that they can draw both the media's as well the nation's attention to their meaningless and directionless existence........
 And if they are really committed to furthering the cause of Hinduism and bettering the chequered and beleaguered existence of millions of Hindus why don't they focus their concerted energies on doing their bit to improve the lives and times of thousands of Hindu women who are leading a pitiful and miserable existence in Brindavan and such other Hindu pilgrimage centres just because they happen to be widows forsaken by both their families as well as the Hindu samaj at large just because they happened to lose their husbands due to accidents; disease or many other such causes beyond their control......

"Bharat" certainly seems to be languishing in the 16 the century while "India" continues making rapid strides towards glory and grandeur in the 21st century.......
 In an incident right out of the "dark ages"; a gaggle of both men and women villagers forcefully detained a police team that was trying to enter Ganjam district's (Orissa or then should I say Odisha) Nua Gochhabadi village (some 80 kms or so away from Berhampur for more than eight hours on May 24; 2016.......
 They then compounded their numerous and unlawful/criminal follies/shenanigans by squatting on the Belaguntha-Bhubaneswar highway for several hours thereby bringing all vehicular movement on the same to a complete standstill for several hours.......
 And pray what was the reason behind this extreme and seemingly insane behaviour; a supposedly "cleansing and redeeming" ritual being performed by a Nayagarh based self styled and appointed "tantrik" who was allegedly "exorcising" the "cursed" village of a spell wreaked upon it by a "sorcerer" that had supposedly caused the untimely deaths of 8 menfolk belonging to the very same village within a span of little over a month or so........
Thoroughly overwhelmed and outnumbered by the burgeoning and constantly swelling mass of humanity; the hapless cops/men in khaki's torturous ordeal only ended when the sub collector; district magistrate and other senior officials reached the spot and managed to somehow or the other convince the gullible villagers that the deaths of the eight men were not the handiwork of a sorcerer as suspected by them but caused by various illnesses that had not been cured in time.........
 A calamitous; propitious and seemingly explosive situation was thereby dissipated and brought under control thanks to sanity and reason prevailing over superstition and utterly nonsensical beliefs; cases have since been booked against persons unknown and local police officials are trying their utmost to identify and isolate those self appointed "leaders" who were at the helm of this sordid and unsavoury imbroglio.......

 Craving female company and seeking a mother for his beloved son :the now deceased gentleman had befriended a 35 year old woman who disclosed her name as Tara (according to her facebook profile) some six or so months ago and had consummated the growing/blossoming relationship between them by marrying her in an adjoining temple in a rather hush hush manner a mere three days before his premature departure from planet earth........
Much to his dismay and disbelief; his 15 year old son found him lying unconscious and bleeding from his mouth early on Tuesday morning; startled and concerned about the safety and well being of his father he rushed towards his neighbours house and summoned them; they in turn rushed the unconscious gent to a nearby private medical facility where the doctors on duty pronounced him brought dead on arrival........
 On being questioned about the whereabouts of his newly wedded wife who is allegedly absconding with valuables and other precious articles worth more than 85 lakh rupees (according to conservative estimates made by the local police sleuths); the corpse's relatives (Uncles and cousins) disclosed the fact that they knew nothing about this so called Tara other than the facts that she reportedly hailed from Uttrakhand's Rudrapur district and had gotten married to Singh three days or so before his unfortunate end.........
 Following age old established procedures and protocols; the police personnel have since sent Singh's mortal remains for a detailed and painstaking autopsy in order to ascertain the precise reason behind his mysterious and utterly baffling death and launched a massive manhunt in adjoining cities and states in order to apprehend the now "wanted" Tara at the earliest........
 Like I said earlier please do not take everything one posts about herself/himself on social networking sites at face value and do a thorough scrutiny of their antecedents before entering into any kind of relationship with them otherwise you may just end up paying with your life for your follies a la Nirmal Singh.........

 One of the Congress workers went to the absurd extent of quipping that they would replicate the gesture in all towns and cities of Uttar Pradesh by naming one such existing toilet after Rishi Kapoor in the next few days and weeks as he has done a great disservice to the nation and Indian history by challenging the self ordained right of this parivar to name virtually everything after itself........

According to police sources who apprehended the suspect within minutes after he almost insanely attacked the nation's darling Iwazaki has admitted to his crime and cited the inane reason that he was incensed and infuriated by Tomita's refusal to accept a gift/momento proffered by him as a token of his love and affection for her and hence he decided to put her in her rightful place by punishing her for the slight she committed by supposedly spurning his friendly gesture.........
The murder weapon an eight or so inch long commando knife has since been recovered from the clutches of the wannabe murderer and he has since been incarcerated in a maximum security prison for the next three weeks to begin with........

I for one am certainly hoping and praying that this dimunitive lass who has the brightest years of her life ahead of her makes a miraculous and complete recovery and keeps entertaining her legions of fans for the next four decades and more; as for the frenzied fan who had been relentlessly stalking her on Twitter and other social networking sites for more than a couple of months or so; capital punishment would also not suffice as justice for the misery and pain inflicted by him on his unsuspecting and hapless victim........

 He further went on to say that he was transfixed by Heera Devi's feminine allure but she put paid to his amorous tendencies and insatiable appetite for sexual pleasures most of the time by refusing to become a willing participant in the sexual escapades conjured up by her husband.........

 A fellow security guard who was on one of his assigned rounds of the afore mentioned naval base stumbled upon the deceased's (Jawan Naik Sivadasan.K.) corpse that bore multiple bullet injury marks and duly raised the alarm.......
 Alarmed and consternated by the maddening frenzy that ensued following the discovery of the slain senior security details mortal remains senior officers took matters into their own hands and immediately sent the lifeless shell to the naval hospital so that the doctors could ascertain or determine the exact cause of Sivadasan's premature departure from planet earth as well as determine the approximate time of death so on and so forth......
A detailed; meticulous; pain staking; thorough and professional probe has since been launched into the murder most foul by the most qualified and capable naval police officer deputed at the naval base and the cadaver's family members have been informed about the heart rending development as per established procedures and protocol......

RACISM REARS IT'S HEINOUS HEAD YET AGAIN.......

Blatant and undisguised racism or then visceral hatred towards Africans seems to have raised it's menacing and barbaric head in the national capital yet again........
M.T. Olivia a 23 year old Congolese national was brutally and insanely grievously injured by a group of 20 to 25 youths in New Delhi's Kishangadh area (Vasant Kunj locality) at around 11:45 pm or so on a fateful and deadly Friday night.......
According to police sources the Congolese national firstly entered into a particularly acrimonious and agitated spat with three males who are estimated to be between 22 to 25 years of age and these youths firstly wrestled him to the ground and then mercilessly and savagely began raining blows on various parts of his anatomy while singling out his head and neck region for special attention.......
A semi conscious and copiously bleeding Olivia was subsequently dragged on the road for a good 20 to 25 metres by his attackers who were then joined by twenty or so other youths who joined in the melee and even showered a volley of stones on the defenceless African national's head......
A concerned and caring group of residents who made a beeline towards the crime scene on hearing the sounds of the melee firstly called up the local police station and then summoned an ambulance but were unable to lay their hands on even one of the alleged murderers as they took to their heels as soon as they saw local residents rushing out of their respective dwellings........
Tragically or then should I say wantonly or deliberately Olivia who resided in the national capital's South Extension Area and earned a honest living by teaching foreign languages at a private institute located in the very same area succumbed to the grievous injuries inflicted on him by the goons who had set upon him like a pack of bloodthirsty hyenas.........
A case of murder has duly been registered against the yet to be identified murderers and the local/area police is minutely scanning the footage obtained from the CCTV cameras installed in the area in an effort to identify the culprits and thereby apprehend them at the earliest.........
However the question that is really flummoxing the investigating officer's mind is the one pertaining to the reason behind Olivia's presence in an area far from his home and hearth so late at night as well as the reasons behind the deathly altercation that broke out between the deceased 23 year old and the monsters who caused his premature demise.........
This horrifying news has since been shared with the officials of the Congolese embassy who have since began making efforts to contact the late youth's immediate family so that the mortal remains of their beloved family member can be handed over to them and also transported to the country of his origin if so desired by his family members.........
One only hopes and prays that the Delhi police sleuths succeed in their unenviable mission of bringing the culprits to book at the earliest so that the proverbial book (full force of the law) can both be thrown at them as well as rain down upon them as only an exemplary and damning punishment would act a deterrent to such people who seem to have bestowed unto themselves the right to attack and murder Africans with increasing regularity and growing impunity.........

This class four student of the sprawling city's Shri Ram Aravali School sold off his cherished collection of Archie comics (more than 30 of them) and a few other Enid Blyton and such other books at measly rates varying between Rs.30 and 50/- in his sterling and laudable effort to generate funds for his noble and praiseworthy effort towards feeding and nurturing all the stray and abandoned dogs that abound his neighbourhood and immediate vicinity........
"I spend most of my free time in the company of these dogs and one such kindred soul whom I have christened "Chumpie" happens to be my favourite out of the entire lot; they wage their tails in gay abandon whenever they see me and literally fall head over their heels in their somewhat clumsy though utterly delightful efforts to meet and greet me every single evening after I come back from school" Neal gushes excitedly.......
With his summer vacations just around the corner; Neal took the considered decision to buy food and medicines for the strays who are dearer to him than life itself with his treasure trove and confides that the inspiration for the same came from his parents who have always gone the proverbial extra mile in their effort to serve mankind and make a difference in the lives of people who are not as privileged and blessed as they are.........
His next venture would involve baking and selling cakes; muffins and cookies as he excels at the same and he has no doubt whatsoever that the same would sell like hot cakes as his dozens of friends and well wishers would more than willingly line up to buy the same as they cannot have their fill of the same in his esteemed opinion.........
"I started my doggie venture with the 2,000/- odd rupees that I had at my disposal after selling off the 56 odd books that I had already finished devouring multiple times and am extremely confident of raising an additional four or so thousand rupees by disposing of both my remaining comics; books as well as delicacies that I will start baking as soon as my summer vacations get underway"; he signs off.........
Here's wishing him unprecedented and heady success in his humanitarian or then should I say "doggietarian" venture and hoping that other similarly inclined good samaritans take a leaf out of his book and start doing their bit for the strays that are an integral part and parcel of their neighbourhoods.........

In one of the most heinous and dastardly crimes reported in recent times an irate; infuriated; incensed and allegedly sozzled father bludgeoned his five year old son to death late on Tuesday night as the deceased kept pestering him for a measly Rupees 2 to satiate his urge for his favourite orange candies.......
This demonic and deplorable crime occurred in a Allahabad locality and shocked as well as astounded neighbours attributed the same to the constant fits of rage the father (a raging alcoholic) used to get into every single time he returned home after imbibing his fair share of his preferred tipple........
On the fateful night; the father returned home sozzled to the gills and beyond as per his usual practice and then proceeded to firstly hurl his son to the ground thereby causing grievous injuries on the little boy's head; he then compounded his savagery and barbarity by continually stomping both his feet on his son's chest until the same caved in and caused him to breathe his last even before he could start living in the real sense of the term.......
His misinformed and diabolic mother tried her level best to cover up the ghastly crime by cremating her only son's mortal remains in a highly clandestine and secretive manner even before the sun had risen on Wednesday morning but a conscientious neighbour who overheard the deadly fracas and saw the swaying and unstable murderer make his getaway from the crime scene made a beeline to the nearest police station and report the crime........
As per it's usual habit and penchant to cover up every crime committed on the soil of Uttar Pradesh by touting out the oft repeated excuse about being unable to either begin investigations into the same or proceed against the accused father as a formal complaint has not been registered against the absconding assailant by either the mother of the deceased or an immediate family member........
And thereby hangs a tale of murder and butchery most foul where the main accused is all but certain to get away scot free as the local police prefers to mouth inanities and tout out inane excuses instead of performing it's job in the manner in which it is supposed to in every case of wilful and wanton murder and butchery.........

RISHI KAPOOR STIRS UP A HORNET'S NEST.........

One can certainly place their last rupee on controversy's favourite child; veteran actor Rishi Kapoor adding fuel to the fire every single time with his acerbic comments that seem to take the world by storm........
While an incessant debate rages on in the nation's capital about renaming roads and monuments named after invaders like the Mughals; Mongols; Britishers and such notable others with the names of Indian icons such as Maharana Pratap; Shaheed Bhagat Singh and so and so forth; Rishi Kapoor saheb has certainly added his two bits and more to the raging debate by questioning the Gandhi family's and it's legion of sycophants nocturnal tendency of naming every conceivable national asset after one Gandhi family member or the other.........
 This cherubic and lovable actor who was on a recent city to India's shining jewel Chandigarh was piqued by the number of government buildings and such other assets named after former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi within the length and breadth of the very same city and vented his ire on twitter by questioning the reasoning behind this misplaced attempt at glorifying the Gandhi family and wondered why these and other government assets were not named after martyrs like Shaheed Bhagat Singh; Rajguru; Sukhdev; Lala Lajpat Rai; and such notable others.........
 Taking his argument further the highly respected and venerated actor said" are the Gandhi's the only family to have shed blood for the cause of the nation what about the legions of martyrs and unsung soldiers of the Indian Freedom movement who have been relegated to a footnote of history and thus not been accorded the honour and encomiums that they so richly and rightfully deserve"......
 He then proceeded to barrack the government of the day into setting right this wanton and wilful tendency by taking the bull by the horns by renaming government buildings and scores of other assets after the afore mentioned national icons and such notable exceptions like Rani Lakshmibai (of Jhansi fame); Tantia Tope; Mangal Pandey; Chandrashekhar Azad; Veer Savarkar; JRD Tata and such others to name just a few......
 One may well have their own considered and informed views about Mr. Rishi Kapoor's rightful and well meaning demand; but there is no denying the fact that he has certainly set the cat amongst the pigeons by taking on the Gandhi family and it's legions of apologists and self appointed "Chamchas" who have made the art of eulogising the so called achievements and sacrifices their life's sole purpose and the very reason behind their pithy and meaningless existence on planet earth......

BIHAR DOES IT AGAIN........

Rashtriya Janata Dal as well as Janata Dal United politicians and their cohorts may go blue in the face while denying all "Jungle Raj 2.0" related claims; but there is no denying the fact that Bihar has certainly acquired the dubious distinction of having become the nation's crime capital off late.......
In the latest instance/incident of seemingly insane road rage reported from the crime ridden or then infested state three yet to be identified motorcycle borne youths repeatedly fired at a labourer who was returning home on his ubiquitous bicycle late on Monday night and made good their escape from the spot leaving their victim lying on the road in a rapidly spreading pool of his own blood.......
According to eyewitness accounts; there was no earthly way in which the grievously injured victim could let the motorcycle borne assailants who were incessantly honking and interspersing the same with the choicest epithets pass his humble bicycle as desired by them owing to both the narrowness of the said road as well as the four wheeler ahead of him that was literally crawling along at a snail's pace........
Enraged and incensed beyond all belief the three accused youths firstly proceeded to throw the startled and bewildered labourer to the ground on catching up with him and then proceeded to compound their criminal behaviour and tendencies by letting loose a volley of shots or then a shower of bullets from a country made revolver two of which hit their intended target.........
Wisening up to the indisputable fact that the crime scene was getting a little too hot for comfort owing to the fact that bystanders and passers by were making a beeline towards the unwitting victim who lay in an unceremonious heap on the dusty and pothole ridden Muzaffarpur road the shooters sped away from the scene on their getaway vehicle before the people who rushed to the hapless gent's aid could nab or lay their hands on even one of them.......
People who had gathered at the spot in sizeable numbers somehow or the other managed to stop a passing auto rickshaw bundled the semi conscious man (who has since been identified as one Anil Paswan) into the same and two of them made a beeline towards thge adjoining Musahari Primary Health Centre which turned out to be closed owing to the fact that the unsavoury incident occurred a little past 10 pm or so on the fateful Monday night.......
Keeping their wits about them; Santosh Prasad; Paswan's co-worker as well as close friend and the anonymous good samaritan who accompanied him all through the trying ordeal then proceeded towards the government run Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital where he was once again refused admission owing to a flash strike by the junior doctors on duty at the time........
Growing concerned about the rapidly deteriorating condition of Paswan who had lost consciousness by then they finally managed to reach the welcoming precincts of a nearby private medical facility where the doctors on duty rushed Paswan into the operation theatre and successfully managed to extricate the two bullets lodged in his abdominal area after a 90 plus minute long operation........
According to the doctors who summoned the local cops who recorded Paswan; Prasad as well as the nondescript good samaritans statement as soon as Paswan regained consciousness; the next forty eight hours are crucial in his recovery as he had lost a copious amount of blood by the time he was brought to the hospital and his condition is slated to be grave yet under control despite the three bottles of blood that were infused into his body during the course of the life saving surgery performed on him......
As for the murderous youths they continue to make merry as long as the cops who seem to be obsessed with doing their political masters bidding rather than arresting every notorious as well as wannabe criminal as they are meant to are awaiting the latest round of denials about the ongoing crime spree in the state from the clacking and braying mouths of their political masters and further instructions from the very same source about how to proceed with further investigations into this sordid matter........

MUCH COVETED "GHANTA AWARDS"........

Here's the list of the honours at the just concluded "Ghanta" awards which recognise the worst of Hindi cinema unfailingly every single year just like the "Razzies" do in the case of the English film industry year after year........
Taking pride of place in the year gone by (2015) was the Sooraj Barjatya produced and directed "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" (a box office smash hit) which was accorded the dubious distinction of being adjudged the "Worst Film Of the Year 2015" as well as it's leading Sonam Kapoor being bestowed with the much coveted "Worst Actress of the year Award" while the all but forgotten Neil Nitin Mukesh notched up one more feather in his cap by being crowned as the "Worst Supporting Actor of the Year" award for his stellar performance as leading light Salman Khan's brother in the very same masterpiece.........
Shahrukh Khan who till yesterday was preening and basking in the success of his recent box office success "Fan" which also fetched him rave reviews for his diabolical performance as the crazed "Fan" with a death wish from both carping critics as well as fawning fans was resoundingly brought down a notch or two as his much hyped and panned performance in his home production "Dilwale" saw him being crowned as the "Worst Actor of the Year" for a performance that was supposedly to become his crowning glory as the same had ended up reuniting the much celebrated Shahrukh Khan-Kajol jodi on screen after five a five long year hiatus......
Other notables who ended up with egg on their face included the much vaunted Vikas Bahl (of "Queen" fame) who ended up with the "Worst Director of the Year" award for churning out the box office turkey "Shandaar" which send audiences into a salubrious slumber from which they are yet to awaken as well as Salman Khan's supposedly priceless discovery Suraj Pancholi who achieved the rare distinction of being crowned the "Worst Debutant of the Year".........
It will not be fair to conclude this tongue in cheek write up without mentioning the distinction notched up by noted film maker Karan Johar as the "Most Miscasted Actor in a Negative Role" for his seemingly menacing and terrifying performance as a gangster from the much romanticised 1960's in Anurag Kashyap's nightmarish "Bombay Velvet" as well as the newly wed seductive damsel Bipasha Basu who covered herself in glory and distinction by taking home the hotly contested "Worst Couple of the Year" award for her demonic efforts in the horror flick "Alone" that only ended up spooking her and her director as the audiences wisened up pretty fast and gave the theatres featuring this one a wide berth......
And so the curtain rings down on one more edition of the much anticipated and awaited "Ghanta" awards which will be reprised unfailingly every year as long as the Hindi film industry keeps churning out such priceless gems by the dozen every single year.........

INSANE AND MACABRE KHAP PANCHAYAT DOES IT AGAIN........

One really wonders whose diktat really prevails in our nation's hinterlands; the courts who are the sole arbiters in all cases committed against the laws of the land or self styled khap panchayats who have become a law unto themselves.......
In the latest instance of dispensation of "bizarre"; convoluted; convulsed; and insane justice a Madhya Pradesh based khap panchayat ordered an inebriated father to atone for the heinous and incestuous crime of sexually assaulting and abusing his 14 year old in a drunken stupor by asking his wife to paint his face black; whack him a hundred times each with a chappal and broom in random order; make a trip to Haridwar and take a dip in the holy Ganges and last but not the least perform a "havan" and feed 21 priests with a minimum of seven delicacies as that was punishment enough to condone the ghastly and unpardonable crime committed by the condemned rapist in the khap's "enlightened and "Divinely" view......
According to the lone dissenting voice; the doughty and indomitable woman sarpanch whose voice was heard resoundingly condemning and deploring the outlandish justice dispensed by the khap panchayat comprising of so called elders from twelve neighbouring villages the sordid crime occurred on the fateful night of May 10; 2016 when the accused returned home in an inebriated state; took undue advantage of his wife's absence from her home and hearth and forced himself on his unsuspecting and disbelieving daughter as he was of the "informed" opinion that performing this vile act was his divinely ordained right........
This demonic crime only came to light a couple of days later when the utterly devastated and traumatised 14 year old summoned up to narrate the minute details of the hellish fate inflicted on her by none other than her very own father in both the disbelieving and flabbergasted woman sarpanch as well as her mother who were shocked beyond words by the father's deviant sexual proclivities...........
Word or then information about the above mentioned crime spread like wildfire amongst the now infamous village situated in the state's Tikamgarh district as well as adjoining villages which led to the calling of the khap panchayat which dispensed it's very own calibrated brand of justice as if the same was it's god given right.......
As the allegedly condemned father had met with all the conditions laid down by the self styled and anointed khap by May 15; 2016; he was granted an "unconditional pardon" by the very same and asked to give an undertaking pertaining to his desisting from such dastardly activities in the future........
Utterly flabbergasted and consternated with the callous and dictatorial manner in which the accused gent had been let off by the khap; the unflinching woman sarpanch decided to take matters in her own hands and reported the crime to the local police personnel through her husband who stood by her like the Rock of Gibraltar.......
Swinging into action with remarkable alacrity; the officer in charge 
of the local police station despatched a team comprising of a sub inspector and six constables to carry out a thorough; painstaking; impartial and non partisan probe into the infamous incident but the said team failed to make any headway as the villagers belonging to the village where the reported crime was allegedly committed simply refused to admit to the fact that such a crime was ever committed in their village to begin with and instead vilified their sarpanch for bringing infamy and distress on the village by taking this matter to the proper authorities......
One only hopes and prays that the 14 year old rape survivor gets justice in accordance with the laid down law of the land in this regard and also that the accused father gets his just desserts as the writ and fear of reprisal by the "almighty" khap runs large and therefore condones every crime committed under it's domain.......

ONE RAPIST GETS HIS JUST DESSERTS........

One really wonders whether minors of any age or physical appearance are safe and secure from the unholy and criminal tentacles of rapacious males who seem to believe that sexually assaulting them is their ordained right........
 In the latest but not last such case to come to the limelight the Antop Hill (Mumbai) police sleuths apprehended a 32 year old father of two on Saturday afternoon for having committed the grave; sinister and heinous charges of repeatedly sexually assaulting and impregnating a 15 year old minor who used to babysit the alleged rapists two young children in both his as well his wives absence from their modest home.....
 According to the case's investigating officer the gutsy and indomitable minor who was two months pregnant as a consequence of the horrific ordeal that she was repeatedly subjected to against her will underwent an abortion at a prominent Mumbai based medical facility on Friday evening and the police swung into action on being informed about the same about the concerned hospital authorities.........
 Fearful about her safety and security the terrified 15 year old initially refused to name and shame her tormentor and torturer but subsequently broke down when subjected to relentless and intense questioning by a female police officer and haltingly blurted out the sordid and sleazy details about her sexual predators identity and the pitiable fate that had befallen her as a result of the accused's insatiable sexual urges and proclivities........
 Of all the conceivable places on planet earth; the accused who was on the run ever since he realised that his game was up was unearthed by the afore mentioned police sleuths from a grovelling and stinking hole in which he had buried himself in the sprawling precincts of Asia's most burgeoning slum Dharavi late on Saturday afternoon.........
 Cases under all the relevant and applicable sections of both the Indian Penal Code as well as the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act were slapped against the assailant who was produced before a judicial magistrate on the same evening and remanded to five days of police custody by the judicial officer thereby facilitating further investigations into this ghastly crime......
 Well one is indeed heartened by the fact that one such rapist got his just desserts and more as a consequence of his unpardonable actions; but what about the legions of his contemporaries who are abounding the lanes and bylanes of mother India and committing such crimes with utter disdain and scant respect for the law of the land........
