Here is one Hindi film that is surely worth waiting for and traversing many a mile to behold......
 Celebrated; highly decorated; critically acclaimed and masterly film maker Hansal Mehta late on Wednesday evening tweeted a series of photographs that unveil or then unravel actor par excellence Rajkumar Rao's first look from their forthcoming creative collaboration "Omerta".......
The 48 year old Mehta also took the time out to wish his 32 year old muse (Rao celebrated his 32nd birthday on Wednesday) and more than effusively thanked him for paying him a visit that transformed his chequered existence up to that point and rekindling his fast receding "creative" spirit......
 "Here is my gift to my favourite actor on his 32nd birthday; the first look of our latest and most complex/radical and path breaking creative endeavour that has more than challenged us and go far beyond what we deemed to be our self imposed boundaries or creative limits; Many Happy Returns my dearest@Rajkumar Rao".......
 All those folks who are active on twitter and follow the unparalleled exploits of this dynamic duo must have certainly been intrigued and fascinated by the black and white photographs of Rao sporting a beard; designer glasses or then should I say spectacles and an intense look that he and only he could sport........
Thanking his favourite film maker for the heartfelt wishes and effusive praises the rather modest and understated Rao returned the compliment in kind by showering praises on Mehta for keeping the faith in him and according him the god send opportunity of playing the most complex; intriguing and bewildering character in his 7 odd year long film career.......
 One would do well to remember the fact that Messrs Mehta and Rao have more than successfully collaborated on such notable and critically acclaimed ventures like Aligarh; City Lights and Shahid which netted Rao the National Award for the Best Actor in a Leading Role in the not to distant past......
 Here's wishing this irrepressible and celebrated duo success beyond their wildest dreams and many more such creative collaborations that keep us spellbound and mesmerised for weeks and months after stepping out of a dark;forbidding yet intoxicating and enticing auditorium......

HUMANITARIAN SPIRIT A THING OF THE PAST.......

In an almost similar reprisal of the gruesome and macabre incident reported from Odisha about a tribal carrying his beloved wife's mortal remains on his shoulders for ten odd kilometres; here comes the news about the same being repeated in Madhya Pradesh.......
 The difference if any between the two equally appalling and heart rending incidents is that the gent in question carted his dear departed mother's lifeless corpse on his motorcycle for a good 12 odd kms in Madhya Pradesh's Umat area (Seoni District) late on Tuesday evening......
 Bhimrao was taking his beloved 70 year old critically ill mother to a state government run community health centre in the district's Barghat area at around 6 pm or so when she abruptly drew her last breath and unceremoniously slumped on his shoulders......
 Sorrowfully and penitently realising the fact that his mater had passed away before she could gain recourse to the much desired medical aid Bhimrao proceeded to call the 108 ambulance service from his mobile phone so that he could expedite the carriage of his mother's mortal remains from the spot of her passing to their modest residence in Umat (which was 12 odd kms or so away) from her place of passing.......
 Thank the good lord for tender mercies as the perennially late and increasingly petulant ambulance service arrived at the designated spot within a mere ten minutes or so after being summoned but Bhimrao got the shock of his rather unremarkable 35 odd year life when the driver and attender manning the ambulance steadfastly and obstinately refused to cart the 70 year old woman's lifeless being to the desired destination as the ambulance was only meant for the living and not for those mortals who had departed from the land of the living in their "esteemed" opinion.......
 Despite Bhimrao pleading his case with folded hands and bended knees; his piteous pleadings made no difference whatsoever on the demonic duo who sped away from the spot within the proverbial batting of an eyelid leaving Bhimrao with no other option apart from carrying his mother's immortal soul and senseless body to their modest dwelling on his trusted steed......
 Passers by who noticed Bhimrao's sorry plight made repeated telephone calls to the ambulance service's chief co-ordinator who also haughtily dismissed their concerns by parroting the lines about the said ambulance service being only for the living and disdainfully ordered them to call the cadaver vans if they intended to transport their deceased loved one's.......
 This bizarre incident was brought to the district collectors notice and the senior bureaucrat somewhat condescendingly ordered an "official high ranking enquiry" (that all of us know will achieve precious little) and held out the much abused and stereotypical response of meting out the most stringent punishments to the so called "culprits" once the official enquiring into this satanic incident submits his report on the same within the next seven days as mandated......
 Can one do anything more than lament the untimely and rather premature demise of the humanitarian spirit and the emergence of our devilish and demonic side that dominates all else.......

ON MATTERS PERTAINING TO "TOOFAN SINGH" AND IT'S LONG DELAYED RELEASE......

Messrs Pahlaj Nihalani and his bunch of loyal sycophants; cronies; acolytes or then chamchas are back to doing what they know best refusing to certify films and leaving fuming and fretting producers in the lurch.......
 Udta Punjab; Raman Raghav 2.0; A Weekend In Goa and many such other notables/flicks have been at the receiving end of the rather rather whimsical and dictatorial Nihalani headed Central Board For/Of Film Certification and the forthcoming Punjabi film "Toofan Singh" is the latest victim of Mr. Nihalani's undecipherable style of functioning.......
 According to the producers of the above mentioned film the censor copy of the same was submitted to the Board in a Cd as well as DVD format way back on June 22; 2016 as the film was to be released nationwide on July 15; 2016 as scheduled by the producers and exhibitors of the same.......
 Three reminders/official reminders; correspondences have been sent to the CBFC by the harried and harangued producers as well as production house but the same have failed to elicit any kind of response from Messrs NIhalani and company who have steadfastly refused to certify the film and bestow a rating/certification on the same without ascribing any reasons for their arbitrary and highly objectionable actions......
 Lamenting his fate and rather ruefully smiling at the unceremonious fate of his "labour of love"; producer Dilbagh Singh rather crestfallingly alludes to the fact that he has already incurred losses in excess of Rs. 5.5 crore and counting as a result of the CBFC's refusal to certify his film without revealing or then putting forth any reasons whatsoever for it's marked reluctance to certify the same.......
 Shedding light on the subject of this seemingly "controversial and objectionable film" that has the inherent potential to inflame and incite communal passions (if a source closes to the CBFC is to be believed) director Baghel Singh acerbically highlights the irrefutable fact that the flick is a cinematic representation of the the rather eventful and chequered life and times of Bhai Jugraj Singh alias "Toofan Singh" a rather notorious or then heroic gent (depending on your perspective or point of view) who was the mover and shaker or then instigator of the Sikh movement of 1987 that culminated in the meticulous and near perfect execution/assassination of the highly corrupt and malicious police official Gobind Ram who had become the bane of every conscientious and upright Punjabi's existence........
 "Bhai Jugraj Singh was a hero who is revered and respected till date as he not only took up cudgels on behalf of all those innocent and defenceless folks who were oppressed by this police officer who had become a law unto himself but also married off more than 1;360 Sikh girls belonging to poor and downtrodden Sikh families who could not afford to meet the exorbitant demands for dowry and other material acquisitions demanded by their prospective life partners and their usurpious families"......
 "There is no doubting or disputing the fact that the film depicts a rather turbulent; disturbing and provocative chapter of Punjab's rather chequered and somewhat unsettling history post 1984; but then the same is only a cinematic representation of the life and times of "Toofan Singh" and every other character in the film apart from the protagonist and antagonist are fictional and bear no resemblance whatsoever to any character or soul either dead or living"; the harangued and harassed director forlorny concludes......
 Utterly fed up with the mindless/seemingly insane antics of Messrs Nihalani and company the producer of the film has now knocked on the doors of the FCAT tribunal who have condescended to view the film in the first week of October and simultaneously engaged the august services of the same firm of lawyers who successfully presented or then successfully pleaded the case of "Udta Punjab" before the very same tribunal and respective courts strictly in that order.......
 One wonders why the government of the day or more specifically the powers that be within the supposedly hallowed precincts of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry are dragging their feet over the long pending issue of implementing the recommendations made by a panel of experts headed by noted and celebrated film maker Shyam Benegal that recommended and proposed wide ranging reforms in the current/prevalent system of film certification four or so months ago.......

OVERCOMING ADVERSITY AND SETTING AN EXAMPLE FOR OTHERS.....

Adversity certainly brings out the best facets or character traits of a few indomitable and resolute folks and ends up making them that much more irrepressible and irresistible.....
 Meet the Bharatpur (Rajasthan) based 12 year old Kriti a top ranking class VIII student of a state government run upper primary school in the district's Lalita Mudiya village who has mastered the seemingly Himalayan art of taking down notes delivered by her more than impressed teachers with her left foot.......
 This valiant soul was all of 8 years old when she lost both her hands and a few fingers of her left foot when an unforeseen and calamitous mishap befell her when she had sauntered into the wilderness surrounding her village to defecate in the open as her modest and nondescript family abode was not endowed with a toilet on that fateful December 2012 late evening.......
She (Kriti) had just squatted down to relieve herself of her burden in one of her favourite haunts when she inadvertently came in contact with a precariously dangling high tension wire and was subsequently rushed to the district's government hospital where the doctors had to amputate both her hands (elbows downwards) and three fingers of her right foot in order to arrest or then stem the rapidly spreading infection that threatened to extinguish her budding life before it had even begun to bloom.......
 Like I mentioned earlier; unforeseen calamities do indeed bring out the best in a few folks like Kriti and this gallant fledgling of a girl did not let the calamity that had befallen her extinguish her fond dreams of becoming a teacher after duly completing her education; she instead chose to kick fate back with twice the force that it had kicked her in the face and mastered the art of rendering near calligraphic hand or then should I say foot writing with her wholly intact left foot........
 According to her gushing headmaster Vishanlal Sharma; Kriti enjoys near celebrity status in both her school and village owing to her resourcefulness and innate ability to make fate and destiny bow down before her iron will and steely resolve; this girl scored more than 75% marks in both her class VI and VII annual examinations and we are leaving no stone unturned in our efforts to ensure that she does one better in her class ten board examinations in two odd years time........
 Yes this ever smiling and eternally cheerful blessed and chosen soul does require both her mothers as well as her class mates help in bathing; feeding and cleaning herself after she performs her ablutions; but her ability to stare life back in the face unflinchingly without taking a backward step is something that the best of us can learn from her and stop bemoaning our fate; destiny and the almighty whenever and wherever a calamity or mishap befalls us......

DISMISS THE AKHILESH YADAV GOVERNMENT FORTHWITH.......

Will Messrs Azam Khan; Akhilesh Yadav; Mulayam Singh Yadav; Shivpal Yadav; Amar Singh; Ram Naresh Yadav and their legions of sycophants/chamchas concede the indisputable fact that no girl child or woman is safe and secure under their sentinel/watch.......
Barely a month or so after unspeakable and unmentionable sexual atrocities were perpetrated by a gang of desperadoes in close proximity to national highway that runs through Uttar Pradesh; yet another despicable; demonic and hellish incident has been reported from the crime infested state's Meerut city.......
 Senior city police officers confirmed the fact that an 18 year old young woman had filed a case against her absconding 26 year old male tutor at a city police station at around 5 pm or so on Sunday evening accusing him of blackmailing and repeatedly sexually violating her over an eight month long period........
 In her written complaint the rape survivor who had recently graduated from her high school with flying colours some two odd months ago used to frequent the accused's home where he used to conduct coaching classes in Maths; Physics and Chemistry for the last four odd years or so......
 She gallantly admitted the unimaginable fact that her maddening and infuriating ordeal began a little over eight months ago when her so called "mentor and guide" forced himself upon her for the first time and duly proceeded to record his despicable and dastardly act on his mobile phone.......
 Holding out the implied threat of uploading the graphic and grotesque sexual clip on various social networking sites and such other avenues; he then proceeded to have his way with his unwilling and recalcitrant victim some forty odd times over the next eight odd months as alluded to by the 18 year old in her written complaint.......
 Matters however came to a head on the fateful Sunday (August 28; 2016 afternoon) when the spunky and vivacious 18 year old summoned up the guts and gumption to confide every gory and sordid detail about the debauchery and unspeakable horrors that she had been subjected to by her tormentor who had become the bane of her very existence.......
 A police party who duly raided the accused's hideout within a mere thirty minutes or so after having received the complaint against him found that the bird had already flown the coop and have since alerted neighbouring police stations across all bordering districts and states in their effort to apprehend the accused at the earliest.........
 One simply fails to understand or fathom the continued reluctance of a government headed by a prime minister with a supposedly "56 inch broad chest" to dismiss the Samajwadi Party government by invoking Article 356 of the Constitution as there cannot be a more fit or appropriate case for the invoking of the same......

TEMPLE PRIEST CAUGHT WITH HIS DHOTI DOWN.......

Here is a sequel to the despicable sexual savagery of the infamous Asaram Bapu and so called other godmen/holy men/ priests/church fathers/granthis/maulvis et al who followed in his wake.......
 Cuttack (Odisha) police sleuths arrested/apprehended the temple priest of the Anduti village temple late on Monday evening for having committed the heinous crime of allegedly sexually violating a five year old girl who used to frequent the temple every single day.......
 According to the rape survivor's dismayed and anguished grandmother; the young girl who is currently recovering from her ordeal at a state government run hospital was in the habit of visiting the temple at around 6 pm or so on all seven evenings of the week so that she could behold as well as participate in the evening arati which was performed unfailingly at 6:30 pm every evening.......
 On the fateful Sunday evening the young girl as per her usual tendencies sauntered off to keep her tryst with the almighty at the ordained hour of 6 pm all by herself as her grandmother and parents were busy with other household related chores/duties......
 Taking undue advantage of the situation; Ratikanta Dash the 35 year old priest who is currently cooling his heels and ardour in judicial custody lured the unsuspecting and gullible 5 year old into his living quarters on the pretext of offering/plying her with her favourite chocolates and proceeded to savage the 5 year old more than once.......
 Conforming to stereotype; he subsequently proceeded to threaten her with deathly consequences if she as much as breathed a word about the gruesome fate that had befallen her an hour or so ago and then fled from the spot without as much as a by your leave......
 Thoroughly shaken and petrified by the unspeakable crime committed upon her nubile being; the 5 year old reached her home and hearth at around 7:15 pm or so and then began complaining of unbearable agony in her abdominal and pelvic regions within the next half hour or so........
 Her deeply concerned/perturbed and fearful parents rushed her to the state government run hospital where the on duty doctor confirmed the unspeakable fact that she had been brutalised more than once and the tearful and seemingly inconsolable 5 year old then haltingly narrated her tale of woe to her disbelieving and crestfallen parents who promptly proceeded to summon the police sleuths from the adjoining police station.......
 The police personnel who reached the hospital within twenty odd minutes or so after being summoned firstly proceeded to register a case against the alleged perpetrator under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code as well as the relevant and applicable sections of the POCSO Act and subsequently launched a massive manhunt to ensnare the culprit which culminated in his being taken into custody from the modest dwelling of one of his close friends and associates in a neighbouring village at around 5 pm or so on a typical monsoon Monday evening.......
 Dash who was produced before a judicial magistrate later that evening was duly remanded to 15 days of judicial custody by the concerned legal functionary and is currently contemplating a rather dismal and bleak future that includes a prolonged spell as a state guest in his immediate future.......

SEEMINGLY SUSPICIOUS AND SUPPOSEDLY MINDLESS DEATH......

The "empress" of hill stations or more precisely the residents of a particular locality in Himachal Pradesh's capital city were gripped by a sense of growing panic and manic desperation after the senseless/lifeless corpse of a youth was discovered in the area early on Sunday morning......
 According to the startled and alarmed resident's of the pristine and mostly tranquil city's North Oak area (Sanjauli locality) their hitherto nondescript existence was altered forever after the security guard of "Neel Kunj" a multi storied apartment block purportedly owned by King's XI Punjab co-owner Priety Zinta's mother stumbled upon the body at around 4:30 am or so on the fateful Sunday morning........
 A few conscientious citizens summoned up the courage and wherewithal to alert police sleuths from an adjoining police station who rushed to the spot and exercised their right to cordon off the crime scene within a few minutes of their arrival on the scene.......
 Two medical examiners (forensics expert and technician) who also reached the site surmised that the deceased youth who has since been identified as 28 year old Karan Deep who originally hailed from Punjab's Nabha district might have inadvertently fallen off the balcony of the flat that he occupied along with a male friend on the building's third floor in a drunken stupor......
 His flatmate who had literally passed out after a night of imbibing more than his fair share of the "heady" intoxicants was oblivious to the fact that his friend and flatmate had met his maker after hurtling to death from the balcony and only registered the chilling fact after being doused with two buckets of water by police personnel who had to literally break down the main door of the said flat to gain entry into the same.......
 Senior police officials who rushed to the spot confirmed that Ms. Priety Zinta's mother who is seemingly in the national capital was not present in her first floor flat when the security guard inadvertently stumbled upon the ungainly mass of humanity and raised a din that woke up other residents of the area as well as the occupants of the other twelve flats in the building.......
 A case of unnatural and highly suspicious death has since been registered and Karan's mortal remains have been currently confined to a freezer unit in the city's Indira Gandhi Hospital's mortuary after the legally mandated formalities of carrying out a post mortem which confirmed the forensics experts cursory prognosis as death being caused owing to a fall in a drunken stupor were complied with......
 Authorities are awaiting the arrival of Karan's mortified and inconsolable parents and other family members so that their beloved son's mortal remains can be handed over to them and continuing investigations in order to completely rule out the possibility no matter however remote and implausible that Deep's flatmate who had been residing with him since January 2015 might have contributed in some manner or the other to his premature and unforeseen departure from the land of the living......

YET ANOTHER GRIM REMINDER........

Utter lawlessness; mayhem; murder; rape; pillage; dacoity and shooting sprees certainly seem to have become the hallmark of Akhilesh Yadav's four odd year long rule in India's most populous state Uttar Pradesh.......
In the latest incident of mindless murder reported from the state a bunch or rather group of yet to be identified murderers whipped out a country made revolver and let loose a volley of shots that prematurely extinguished or terminated the life of a train ticket examiner who asked them to produce their tickets as soon as they alighted from a train.......
 This grotesque and diabolic crime occurred on a typical Saturday afternoon at the mofussil Sherwani Mode railway station (Allahabad District) when the said railway official who has since been identified as 28 year old Virendra Chaudhry had just assumed his customary position at his place of work on the fateful Saturday afternoon.......
 Chaudhry who has been described as an upright and conscientious official by his superiors and peers stopped this group of miscreants who had just alighted from a passenger train and asked them to produce their mandated tickets when one of them whipped out a menacing looking revolver and fired five shots at Chaudhry from point blank range thereby reducing him to a bleeding and grievously/critically injured mass of humanity......
 Fellow railway officials; passengers and residents of houses adjoining the above mentioned railway station made a beeline for the spot on hearing the volley of shots spotted five masked men making a hasty and hurried exit from the crime scene and telephonically summoned a 108 ambulance that ferried a seemingly lifeless Chaudhry to the nearest government run medical facility where the on duty doctors pronounced him brought dead on arrival........
 Chaudhry's family members; other relatives and friends who received his mortal remains in the wee hours of Sunday morning after the due formalities of a post mortem were completed squatted with his lifeless corpse for more than four hours at the city's (Allahabad's) bustling Subhash Chowk (crossing) raising slogans against the ruling dispensation and demanding the immediate arrest of the accused.......
 They only dispersed and condescended to cremate the gallant railway official's body after the Senior Superintendent of Police met them and handed out an assurance about bringing the five alleged miscreants to book within the next 72-96 hours (3 to 4 days) and ordered the senior inspector in charge of the Civil Lines Police Station to minutely scrutinise the CCTV footage of all the cameras in the immediate vicinity of the railway station in an effort to unmask the fugitives and establish their ":real or true" identities......
Yet another conspiracy hatched by your political rivals to malign and tarnish the supposedly pristine and untarnished image of the Samajwadi Party government or then yet another startling and disturbing manifestation of the "jungle" raj prevailing in the state; Messrs Azam Khan and company.......

Biopics or more specifically biopics on sporting icons certainly seem to be the flavour of the season or then current craze amongst the corridors of the Indian film industry.......
 Notable films on sporting legends like the "Flying Sikh" Milkha Singh; infamous and seemingly controversial former Indian test and ODI captain Mohammad Azharuddin and last but not the least hitherto unknown Haryanvi wrestler "Sultan" have already hit the screens while the much awaited biopic on cricketing legend M.S.Dhoni is slated for a mid September release.......
 While the entire nation and Indian diaspora spread across the entire expanse of planet earth is going ga ga over the notable achievements of the nation's latest "pin up" lass P.V. Sindhu; the man or then should I say pillar who played an instrumental role in making her what she is Pullela Gopichand seems to have been relegated to the background as per tradition......
 Hyderabad based producer and film exhibitor/distributor Abhishek Nama who is a self confessed Gopichand "devotee" has taken the onus of setting right this anomaly or "slight" to his sporting idol by publicly announcing his intentions of immortalising Gopi's incomparable achievements on celluloid by launching a Hindi-Telugu biopic based on his life and times that will go on the floors week of November 2016.......
 "This proposed heroic saga will largely focus on Gopi's noteworthy sporting exploits that came to a head with his euphoric victory in the iconic All England Championship that he annexed way back in 2001 thereby emulating the sterling deeds of his inspiration Prakash Padukone"........
 "Gopi has seen practically every shade/facet/vagary or then vicissitude of life during his forty odd years of existence on planet earth be it romance; triumph; defeat; despair; heartbreak; despondence; euphoria; and so on and so forth and the ongoing saga of his life is therefore just right and appropriate to be encapsulated in a two odd hour long film"; Nama signs off.......
 This proposed biopic tentatively titled "Pullela Gopichand" will be helmed or directed by the national award winner Praveen Sattaru and will be extensively shot in a start to finish hundred odd day marathon schedule spanning across Hyderabad; Bengaluru; Lucknow and Birmigham (the home or then should I say venue of the All England Championship)........
"Pullela Gopichand" will grace the screens around March/April 2017 and successfully immortalise the legend of India's most celebrated badminton coach/mentor for posterity.......

RICHA CHADHA GIVES IT BACK WITH RENEWED INTEREST........

Trollers and lampooners beware as Ms. Richa Chadha is giving it back with renewed interest and how......
 Ms. Chadha who has acquired the enviable reputation of being one of the spunkiest female actors on the block more than repaid all those nincompoops who went to town lampooning and lambasting her for her sterling effort to answer a rather meaningless and inane query on fellow actor Fawad Khan's behalf gave back as good as he got in her own inimitable style......
 One may do well to recall or remember the fact that Ms. Chadha had sportingly or the should I say rather heroically taken up cudgels on Fawad's behalf when a query was posed to him by a journalist about having offended and incensed folks back home with his supposedly "bold and controversial" onscreen portrayals saw Richa jump to his rescue and quip that she would definitely have far more in common with Fawad as she was a Punjabi just like Fawad and played down the so called "differences" in the cultures of the two countries as the two countries were one entity until August 14; 1947........
 She also went on to emphasise the undeniable fact that she would have a lot more in common with Fawad on account of being a fellow Punjabi when compared with a fellow Indian hailing from the southern; western; north eastern or other parts of the country and these very same comments raised the ire of a bunch of idiots who stooped to the unimaginable extent of branding Richa as a "closet racist"; "bigot"; "anti national" and last but not the least a "mindless bimbette"........
 Trust Ms. Chadha to have the last word in her inimitable style that is surely beyond compare as she took on the gent (if one can indeed call him that) a "mindless bimbette" and complimented him for having paid her the compliment of branding her a "bimbette" and scathingly commented that she preferred to take the same as a compliment rather than feeling insulted or slighted as she had been conferred with the title for the first time in her 30 odd years of existence on planet earth........
 As for the end result one more troller who had ordained or rather anointed himself with the right of calling Ms. Chadha whatever he felt is currently eating holy crow or then should I say shitty crap and contemplating whether or not he may have bitten off far more than he could chew by having raised the hackles of one Ms. Richa Chadha.......

WHEN IF EVER WILL OUR ATHLETES FOLLOW SUIT.......

Will our government; plethora of athletics and other sporting federations and last but not the least truck loads of athletes take a leaf out of this noble souls book and strive to follow in his illustrious footsteps......
 33 year old Polish World beating javelin thrower Piotr Malachowski set an example for all well meaning and philanthropically minded folks to follow and how......
 Malachowski who did his nation proud by snaring the much coveted silver medal in his favoured event at the just concluded Rio Olympics more than willingly consented to auction the same on a Polish website so that he could contribute his mite towards raising the sum required to facilitate the eye surgery of an ailing three (3) year old cancer patient in a New York based medical facility that has the equipment; expertise and wherewithal to treat the afflicted 3 year old who has already lost his sight in one eye owing to the dreaded disease.......

 Online bidders had already posted bids in excess of 8,000 $ (according to Malachowski's last facebook post in this regard) and the said silver medal was expected to snare well over 10,000/-$ according to an administrator of the online auction site on which the Olympic silver medal was being auctioned.......
 Malachowski has thrown down the gauntlet and set lofty standards for other athletes and similarly inclined folks to follow; I for one though am awaiting the moment when Prime Minister Modi; wannabe Prime Minister or then perennial Prime Minister in waiting Rahul Gandhi; Arvind Kejriwal; P.V. Ms. Maneka Gandhi and such other like minded folks this is precisely why a stringent perhaps even draconian law against marital rape and atrocities is the crying need of the hour.......
 A gutsy; indomitable and uncompromising 40 year old woman filed a written complaint against her husband of 18 odd years standing at Pune's Wanowrie police station late on Wednesday evening.....
 This bruised; battered; traumatised and tormented soul alleged that her legally wedded husband used to force various brands of premium liquor down her throat and perform illegal and grotesque sexual acts on him as well as his "inner circle" of friends when she was under the influence of the intoxicants that she was plied with against her will and consent.......
 She also went on to allude to the sordid and demonic fact that her supposed protector and nurturer would torture and brutalise her by burning various parts of her anatomy with lighted cigarettes and constantly beat her up with his favourite leather belt and the like whenever she refused to accede to his expressed desires and wishes........
 According to a senior police officer attached to/posted in the afore mentioned Pune based police thana; the various injury and burn marks displayed by this troubled and harangued woman bear more than adequate testimony to the travesties borne by her during the course of her hellish marriage.......
 Taking due cognisance of the women's written complaint the Wanowrie police station sleuths have booked cases against the accused husband under all the relevant and applicable sections of the Indian Penal Code and also registered a case against the accused/suspect's mother, sister and brother for aiding and abetting him in this criminal enterprise/venture........
No arrests have been made thus far as investigations into the matter/unsavoury episode are still on and the police are proceeding with due caution and diligence as they themselves are unsure about the sections of the law under which the accused can be taken into custody.......
 Ms. Gandhi do you now realise why a foolproof and loophole free law against marital rape and atrocities is the crying need of the hour as the Justice Varma committee had pointed out in the aftermath of the infamous Nirbhaya gang rape case that shook the collective conscience of an entire nation......

PURAB KOHLI IS CERTAINLY DOING MORE THAN HIS BIT.........

 More than candidly admitting that his interest in joining the movement against cancer was kindled or fueled by the seemingly heart rending agonies of cancer stricken friend; Purab goes on to confess that he started doing intensive research into the causes of the dreaded disease and it's treatment after seeing the harrowing plight of one of his dearest friends.......
 He also goes on to say that months of painstaking/meticulous and intense research taught him a lot about the disease and galvanised him into doing his bit to mitigate the sufferings of lakhs of fellow Indians especially young and very young Indians who are waging heroic yet largely anonymous battles against this killer disease........

 Dwayne who is as famous for his histrionic and unparalleled dancing abilities will soon be making legions of steadfast Hindi film music grooved to his tunes as he has been roped in by none other than "Ra One" and "Tum Bin" fame Anubhav Sinha to croon a number in the proposed sequel to the 2001 sleeper hit that launched the careers of Priyanshu Chaterjee; Himanshu Malik; Sandali Sinha and Raqesh Vashisth.......
 Multi faceted crooner; lyricist and music composer Ankit Tewari has already penned the lyrics of the peppy and energetic number titled "Jager Bomb" and Dwayne is currently spending sleepless nights in an effort to master the Hindi diction and enunciation of the few Hindi words or rather lines that he will have to render in tandem with Ankit in the first week of September on the floors of a Mumbai recording studio........

A little over a week has elapsed since my return to the city of my birth Bengaluru and my posting a fervent appeal for any suitable freelance writing or then any other suitable assignment on my facebook page/blog; but the same is yet to bear any fruits or results whatsoever.......
 Friends/doubting Thomases/erstwhile colleagues/prospective employers/carping critics et all do kindly condescend to spend a few moments perusing/scrutinising or then just glancing through the 1340 odd blogs that I have posted under the acronym of "sandy the virgo" till date........
 These blog posts that have been read or then critically examined by a little more than 33;700 odd people until this morning are on topics/issues/subjects varying from various illnesses/ailments; their causes/characteristic symptoms/course/duration of treatment and the like; an overview of what to see in a host of cities worldwide and how to make your way around the same......
 I have also done more than my fair share of film/event/book reviews and more than candidly shared my observations about the same; widely written on cricketing as well as other sports related issues/personalities/events and such other things and last but not the least waged my very own crusade against the ever increasing atrocities/crimes being sinfully perpetrated against the fairer sex and the ultimate fate of a nation that does not respect or then accord it's womenfolk their rightful place in the pecking order; social set up and so on and so forth........
 Apart from writing; I am also endowed with more than adequate skills/professional acumen/expertise in the fields of human resource management/ general and office administration/ recruitment/ career and psychological counselling/professional mentoring and drafting Human Resource manuals/handbooks/formats/policies and the likes.......

OFFICIAL NEGLECT AND INDIFFERENCE SEEM TO BE THE ORDER OF THE DAY........

Official apathy/callousness/disdain/indifference and derision seem to be the order of the day in Navin Patnaik's Odisha despite lofty pronouncements and false ringing claims to the contrary.......
 In the latest reported instance of official or then should I say criminal neglect and inhumanity a poor and impoverished tribal gent hailing from the state's backward Kalahandi district was forced to carry his beloved wife's mortal remains on his shoulders for a good 5 kilometres or so as he was denied access to both a mortuary van as well as ambulance by the concerned district government hospital authorities........
 This deeply anguishing and agonising incident took place late on Tuesday afternoon when the 42 year old Amang Dei who was being treated fro chronic tuberculosis at the state government run Bhawanipatna District Headquarters Hospital breathed her last after a valiant struggle to survive and beat the seemingly insurmountable odds for more than 3 months or so.......
 Momentarily setting aside his grief and irreplaceable loss Dei's husband 44 year old Dana Manjhi literally pleaded and beseeched the concerned hospital authorities to provide him with a vehicle in which he could transport the corpse of his soulmate to his native village which was located a little over 60 kms away from the said hospital as he did not have the wherewithal and resources to hire a private vehicle for the same purpose.......
 His piteous pleadings/entreaties fell on deaf ears as the hospital authorities resolutely and outrightly refused to provide him with a vehicle for the expressed purpose citing an acute shortage of official vehicles and such other inanities.......
 Left with no other recourse Manjhi bundled up his wife's lifeless/senseless body in a shroud and desultorily started trudging his way back towards his native (Melghara village) in Rampur Block with his 12 year old daughter keeping him company on the most painful and arduous journey of his life......
 Miracles or wonders do have this uncanny ability of happening/occurring when you least expect them to and a similar event occurred in Dana's case when a group of reporters belonging to a local news channel chanced upon him and queried him about his haranguing ordeal.......
 These good samaritans/well intentioned folks used their official clout and promptly rang up the district collector who graciously intervened and immediately despatched an official vehicle in which the three members of the Manjhi family undertook the rest of their eventful journey........
 Fearing the resultant backlash and dire consequences as the incident was widely reported on various local news channels and the prominent Odisha Television News Channel; the said district collector issued an official apology to the grieving and disconsolate Dana Manjhi on Wednesday morning as well as instituted a high level official enquiry to identify the offending hospital authorities and initiate suitable punitive action against the culprits.......

AKSHAY KUMAR DELIVERS YET ANOTHER KNOCKOUT PUNCH........

While the rest of the world and the self styled Hindi film industry "pandits" might be eulogising the three "Khans" and waxing eloquent about their supposedly sterling/Himalayan exploits; the quiet and unassuming Akshay "Khiladi" Kumar just goes about doing what he knows best and proving that he is as good as if not better than the "Khans" of Hindi filmdom.......
 While naysayers and carping critics keep crying themselves hoarse about Akshay's supposed absence of acting abilities and so called "wooden" on screen portrayals; even they cannot dispute the irrefutable and undeniable fact that an Akshay Kumar helmed potboiler seldom if ever fails at the turnstiles and more than recovers the amount invested by the producers on the venture unerringly every single time.......
 As has become customary by now; armchair critics went blue in the face panning "Rustom" (Akshay's latest blockbuster inspired by the infamous and iconic Nanavati trial of the late 1960's); but their disdain and scorn could not stop this Niraj Pandey production from garnering well over Rs. 100 crores within five days of it's release at the domestic box office........
 As respected trade analyst Komal Nahata succinctly put it "love him or hate him" but there is certainly no ignoring the "Khiladi" Kumar who has always let his work speak for him and thus become the only star to churn out three consecutive 100 crore plus blockbusters during the course of the calendar year 2016......
 "Airlift"; "Housefull 3" and last but not the least "Rustom" Akshay certainly seems to have mastered the seemingly indomitable art of wowing his loyal and preening/fawning audiences with his incomparable histrionics every single time; thereby making his critics and naysayers eat crow in the wake of his burgeoning popularity and constant evolution as an actor of note.......
 Move over Khans or then take a collective backseat as the wizard of box office figures Taran Adarsh has doubly underlined the fact that "Rustom" has garnered a little over Rs. 122 crore (Rs. 122.09 crores) to be precise within the first nine days of it's release and might well end up crossing the much coveted 180-200 crore rupee mark if it is able to sustain the same momentum/trajectory for the next week or so........
 Take a bow Akshay Kumar as you've socked the critics and naysayers once again and delivered a knockout punch that has floored all these self appointed Nostradamuses yet again......

BIZARRE AND WORRISOME PROCEEDINGS.........

It certainly seems to be getting more bizarre and insane with the passing of every single day.......
An approximately five to six minute long video starring haughty and disdainful Ganesh Pandal organisers and their seemingly hapless and defenceless victims belonging to a minority community has gone viral raising the hackles of all right minded and thinking people as well as raising pertinent and timely questions about the harrowing plight of the minorities in our motherland.......
This seemingly distasteful; offensive; reprehensible and regressive video was shot by a bystander who happened/stumbled upon a bunch of goons who were trying to extort a sum of Rs. 100 each from eleven Uttar Pradesh based youths belonging to a minority religious denomination on the pretext of organising the forthcoming Ganesh Utsav in Pune's bustling and teeming Bhosari-Alandi Road area.......
According to eyewitness accounts twenty or so louts who claimed to be the "organising members"of the so called Shri Ram ganesh Mandal rudely and brusquely accosted the afore mentioned 11 young men; all of whom were aged between 20-30 and demanded that they part with the sum of Rs. 100/- each forthwith in order to facilitate the arrangements of the planned "Ganpati Vargani" celebrations........
Citing their relative poverty and meagre daily income ranging between Rs. 150 to 200 per day as they eked out a miserable existence as daily wage labourers the 11 men pleaded their case and agreed to cough up a sum of Rs. 50 each as that was all they could afford to part with owing to their relative state of impoverishment and penury........
Their pleas for mercy however only served to anger and infuriate these rowdies masquerading as Ganesh Pandal organisers who lorded over them and sentenced them to undergo the ignominy of performing fifty squats each while holding their ears and coupled the atrocity with racial slurs; taunts and implied threats about their safety and security if they as much as dared to spend another day earning a living in Pune at the cost of locals........
Fearing for their lifes and existence; the 11 men who originally hailed from various parts of Uttar Pradesh these harrowed and harangued men left for their respective native places in the late evening hours of the fateful day of August 22 in search of seemingly safer and saner climes where they could earn their sustenance in relative peace and anonymity........
Local police personnel who took due cognisance of the atrocities meted out to these 11 men have since booked cases against three of the twenty or so louts seen in the highly deplorable video under bailable sections of the IPC and issued summons to the three gents ordering them to approach a local court on the morning of August 25; 2016 and obtain bail by paying the fines applied by the concerned judge upon each one of them.......
I for one am deeply concerned and perturbed about the future of a nation where untold and unseemly atrocities against minorities and supposedly inferior castes have become the order of the day and more significantly fail to understand how fellow Indians become "outsiders" or "Outcastes" in other states/parts of the country when the Indian Constitution confers every Indian irrespective of his religion or place of birth the right to live and earn an existence in any nook and cranny of his/her beloved and revered motherland.........

TIMELESS LESSONS TO BE LEARNT........

Savage/bestial and seemingly inhuman crimes certainly seem to be an upswing in the Indian prime minister's beloved and revered home state (Gujarat)......
In the latest atrocity reported from the crime infested state a Surat based couple was arrested/apprehended by the city police early on Monday morning for allegedly Bobbitising (hacking off the private parts) of their 28 year old nephew who was supposedly caught with his pants down in the august company of his 35 year old aunt late on Sunday evening.......
According to Surat police officers; 52 year old Devraj Mithapara alias Devpujak and his 35 year old legally married second wife Surekha were taken into custody from the city's Kosad area at around 11 am or son on the fateful Monday morning for having committed the afore mentioned atrocity late on Sunday night......
As per the sequence of events narrated by the victim; 28 year old Kiran Devipujak (a humble and ubiquitous auto driver by profession) his 35 year old aunt had more than successfully lured him into a sordid web of sexual gratification and intrigue around eight or so months ago and he had become her sexual slave as he found a convenient outlet for his sexual urges and needs in her.....
As per their habit the amorous couple were in the midst of yet another sexual romp when the victim's 52 year old uncle happened upon the scene and discovered his beloved wife blissfully ensconced in his nephew's arms.......
Fearing for her life and limb; the devious and conniving woman proceeded to accuse the 28 year old of having forced himself onto her and more than willingly joined her enraged and infuriated spouse in subduing the hapless and defenceless Kiran who not only lost his manhood but also suffered grievous injuries on his hands and other parts of his anatomy as a direct consequence of the demonic actions of his mindless uncle.......
Fellow residents of the area who were alarmed and agitated by the mortally wounded Kiran's plaintive and pitiable cries for help rushed to the spot and proceeded to subdue the murderous 52 year old and his comrade in arms before rushing the copiously bleeding victim to the city's SMIMER hospital where a team of doctors performed an emergency life saving surgery on Kiran and managed to salvage his life even though they failed in their herculean efforts to reattach his crudely dismembered sexual organ........
These very same residents also alerted the police sleuths on duty at the adjoining police station about the sordid saga that had unfolded in the hitherto sylvan and tranquil environs of their upper middle class locality and the police sleuths proceeded to arrest the accused duo as well as register cases under all the applicable acts/sections of the IPC against the two accused based on the eye witness accounts as well as the victim's statement in the wee hours of Monday morning........
A suitably chastened and mortified Kiran is recuperating and recovering from his life threatening injuries in the afore mentioned medical facility and seriously contemplating a rather dismal and bleak future as his supposedly immoral and incestuous sexual proclivities ended up costing him both his manhood as well as self respect and esteem........

ON UNKEPT PROMISES AND INCREASING ATROCITIES AGAINST GIRLS......

Even though I continue to remain a steadfast and loyal Aam Aadmi Party worker/supporter/member; I must candidly admit that I am both appalled and dismayed by the umpteen atrocities being wreaked on the female species that inhabits the national capital despite the Kejriwal governments lofty pronouncements regarding women's safety and security........
 In the latest brutal sexual travesty/atrocity reported from the national capital a 7 year old girl child was allegedly abducted and subsequently sexually brutalised by three demonic predators in the national capital's Yamuna Khader Village (Mandawali Area) late on Sunday night.......
 According to the critically injured survivor's traumatised and devastated father who is gainfully employed as a security guard at a nearby construction site; his beloved daughter was sleeping blissfully on her charpai outside her nondescript dwelling at around 11:30 pm or so on the fateful Sunday night when the three monsters abducted and gagged her before carting her away to a desolate and deserted area some distance away from the village.......
 They then proceeded to compound their bestiality by ravishing and ravaging her and their beastliness caused the grievous injuries (on her nether regions and lower proximities) that have since become the bane of her existence and a grave threat to her survival on planet earth.......
 Her father who was away on his assigned/allotted duties returned home at around 4 am or son early on Monday morning only to be confronted with the ghastly sight of his bundle of joy lying unconscious in a pool of her very own blood as the savages who had devoured her left her in this pitiable condition in close proximity to her home and hearth.......
 Showing remarkable presence of mind; the 7 year old's father firstly rushed her to the capital's government run Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital where the on duty doctors referred her to the super speciality AIIMS trauma centre as they neither had the equipment; expertise and wherewithal to attend to her life threatening injuries.......
 She (the 7 year old) was finally admitted to AIIMS at around 6:30 am or so where the doctors performed two surgical procedures in an order to repair and restore her severely damaged nether regions as well as stem/arrest the copious flow of blood from the very same regions........
 One of them also alerted the local police station and sleuths from the same reached AIIMS at around 8 am or so on Monday morning and duly recorded the victim's father's statement in which he named his daughter's abductors and rapists as 19 year old Bhure; 21 year old Amir (both of whom happen to be the family's immediate neighbours as well as their accomplice and comrade in arms 19 year old Bhimsen........
 Swinging into action with remarkable agility and alacrity; the Delhi police personnel apprehended the accused trio from a particularly notorious watering hole in the Mandawali area at around 4 pm or so on the very same Monday evening and proceeded top slap cases against the trio under all the relevant and applicable sections of the IPC as well as POCSO Act.......
 It is indeed heartening and gratifying to note the fact that the accused have been brought to book in this case but I for one continue to live in the eternal hope that the Arvind Kejriwal government will sooner rather than later fulfill all it's lofty pronouncements made on the issues/matters pertaining to the females species safety and security thereby making the national capital a haven of peace and tranquility for it's long suffering womenfolk and girl children........

STERLING DEEDS NOT EMPTY RHETORIC AND FALSE RINGING PRONOUNCEMENTS......

Here is one gent who let's his actions and benevolent acts speak far more eloquently than his words and silences though not necessarily in that order.......
 "Great Grand Mastii" fame iconic actor Vivek Oberoi who in the past has been known to associate himself with social and philanthropic causes ranging from rehabilitating and resettling hundreds of tsunami victims; distributing laptops to girl students and espousing many other such humanitarian causes has gone and done one better this time around......
 Vivek who has been closely and intimately associated with Mumbai's famed Cancer Prevention Aid Association (CPAA) for the best part of the last decade and more has stepped up to the plate to organise a thorough and comprehensive health check up for all the registered members of the Cine and Television Artistes' Association (CINTAA) in tandem/synchronisation with the the afore mentioned association on August 21; 22 and 23; 2016.......
 This noteworthy event is being organised at a leading hospital located in Mumbai's Andheri locality and more than 3;500 odd members of the association will be accorded the privilege and honour of undergoing weight; height; blood pressure; dental and last but not the least health profile checks at no cost to themselves whatsoever.......
 Brushing off his latest philanthropic venture as "one of those things" that he is accustomed to doing; this gent with the proverbial "golden heart" quipped that this was the very least that he could have done for the welfare and well being of these pillars of the film and television industries who play stellar roles in the success of the same but largely remain in the background and pass of their entire lives in relative obscurity and anonymity.......
 One only hopes and prays that Vivek's fellow actors and comrades in arms would take a leaf out of his "good deeds" manual and start contributing their mite towards doing their bit towards making both the film industry as well as mother India a far better and congenial place to live in........

CRIME MOST FOUL AND HORRENDOUS........

It is indeed most heartening and gratifying to note the fact that panchayats in Akhilesh Yadav's Uttar Pradesh have resorted to the long delayed tactics of socially boycotting and ostracising teenage rapists and their entire clans at long last.......
 This seemingly miraculous event occurred after an absconding teenager sexually ravaged a 11 month old infant in a relatively obscure and nondescript kasba in the Kagraul area of Agra District late on Saturday evening.........
 According to fellow villagers this seemingly dastardly; demonic and insane development occurred when the 15 year old youth who is notorious in the entire area for his violent acts and anti social activities entered his neighbours dwelling on the pretext of feeding a chocolate to their 11 month old daughter and spending a few moments playing and entertaining her........
 He then proceeded to lock himself in the adjoining room and proceeded with the macabre and inhuman act of sexually devastating the infant before making good his escape from the crime scene through the back door of the modest dwelling......
 Alarmed and dismayed by the piteous and blood curdling screams emanating from the grievously injured infant's mouth; her parents rushed into the room only to find their bundle of joy lying in a pool of her precious life blood and screaming in anguish and unbearable agony........
 They immediately proceeded to rush the mortally injured infant to the district government hospital where the doctors performed a major surgery to restore some semblance of order to her critically damaged nether regions and the infant's status is currently listed as critical with the next 48-72 hours being extremely crucial in her recovery........
 Alerted by the hospital authorities the local police officials rushed to the district government hospital and duly proceeded top record the statements of the rape survivors parents as well as fellow villagers on the basis of which they registered cases under all the applicable and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) as well as POCSO act against the perpetrator who is still at large......
Thoroughly disgusted and vexed at the seemingly unforgivable crime committed by the notorious teenager; the elders (panchayat) members of the afore mentioned village summoned the offenders parents and ordered the rest of the village to socially; economically and culturally boycott them until their son who is on the run is apprehended by the authorities and made to pay for the crime committed by him.......
 Well; the village elders have announced their writ and decision one wonders what action Messrs Azam Khan; Shivpal; Mulayam and Akhilesh Yadav are going to initiate in order to arrest the burgeoning crime rate and prevent their domain from plummeting any further into the abyss and vortex of mindless crimes and utter lawlessness......

ONE'S LOSS IS SOMEONE ELSE'S GAIN.......

It is indeed most heartening to note the fact that cricket boards that place a premium on duty; discipline; commitment and honoring the terms and conditions of a contract drawn up between the said cricket control board and individual in question......
 According to news or rather a post posted on the Bangladesh Cricket Boards official website; the authorities that be within the annals of the Board have taken the informed/unanimous decision to terminate assistant (Fielding Coach) Ruwan Kalpage's (former Sri Lankan all rounder) extended contract with immediate effect as he neither intimated or informed the Board about his unwillingness to resume his assigned role with the team or then report for duty on the assigned date of August 16;2016.......
 Messrs Chandika Haturusingha (team Bangladesh head coach): Kalpage; Halsal and Vilavarayan who serve the team in the capacities of physical trainer and physiotherapist had all fled the troubled nation post haste in the aftermath of the dastardly terrorist attack in the national capital (Dhaka's) famed Gulshan Area on the fateful day of July 1;2016 and had deemed it fit to monitor the eveolving/subsequent developments from supposedly safer climes and surroundings.......
 Official communiques/intimations were sent out to the four afore mentioned individuals earlier this month asking them to report for duty/assume their assigned roles on or before August 16 and three out the four individuals duly reported for duty well before the due date and have since been provided with a security detail that is normally provided to a visiting head of state.......
 BCB bigwigs waited in vain for Kalpage's return or then any communication from his side regarding either his inability or then reluctance to resume his assigned duties till the evening of August 18 and then proceeded to post this piece of information pertaining to his immediate sacking on the Board's website......
 An official letter has since been despatched to Ruwan Kalpage informing him about the immediate cessation of his extended contract that was valid till the end of the 2019 50 over World Cup and the Board has began it's quest for a suitable candidate to don the now vacant mantle of the team's assistant coach.......
 In my humble opinion for all it's worth; the loss if any is entirely Mr. Kalpage's as the Bangladesh Cricket Board will more than surely find a candidate/replacement who is far more proficient and professional than the individual who now finds himself languishing in the wilderness........

LOOKING FOR A SUITABLE JOB IN BENGALURU.......

Life has indeed come a full circle and I find myself back where I truly belong after having spent a little more than twelve tumultuous; disenchanting; dissatisfying; disquieting and largely disappointing years in Hyderabad.......
 Yes I am back in good old Bengaluru for good and intend staying put in my hometown till I breathe my last breath if the almighty so wills.......

 I am on the look for an exciting and enthralling job in the fields/areas/spheres of either content writing; human resource management; recruitment; general and office administration; working for an NGO or then any other organisation totally dedicated and committed to the cause of serving humanity and the nation; career and psychological counselling and last but not the least teaching if something can be worked out in that regard......

DELIVERING JUSTICE SIDHPUR PANCHAYAT ISHTYLE.......

Will Messrs Nitish Kumar; Laloo Prasad Yadav and his marauding sons stop attributing the rapidly deteriorating law and order situation to perceived and imagined political rivals and crack the whip on these extra constitutional authorities who are making a mockery of the existing laws of the land.....
 Getting away after having committed the heinous and grave crime of rape and prolonged sexual assault is as easy as child's play especially if you happen to belong to or then reside in Bihar's Imamganj District or more precisely the district's Sidhpur Village.....
 Believe it or not; the Sidhpur Village Panchayat or then council of five supposedly wise and informed men on Sunday evening (August 7; 2016) sentenced or rather condoned the grotesque crimes committed by a 21 year old serial rapist who had been continually blackmailing as well as sexually exploiting his hapless 15 year old minor victim for the last seven months or so.......
 Setting aside the now pregnant rape survivor's family's plaintive cries for justice the council of village elders instead chose to blame the 15 year old victim for having brought this sorry and heart rending plight unto herself by luring and enticing the 21 year old accused with her feminine charms and proceeded to condone or rather accord their official sanction to the crimes committed by this devil in human form by asking him to perform 51 squats and pay a laughable 1,000 rupees fine..........
 According to the minor's besieged and harangued father; the accused began his saga of untold atrocities by forcing himself on his unsuspecting and gullible daughter when she was 14 years old and a class VII student of the government run school in the village's precincts........
 He continued to sexually ravage and violate her for the next seven months or so by holding out the implied threat about maligning and tarnishing her character and reputation before the rest of the village and this sordid episode or then should I say continual saga of blackmail and exploitation only came to light when the now 15 year old became pregnant and spilled the beans to her distraught and disbelieving mother.........
 The victim's family initially approached the local police thana and narrated this heart rending tale of extortion; blackmail and sexual exploitation to the senior inspector who disdainfully and callously dismissed their pleas as an informed and devious attempt to falsely implicate the 21 year old accused in an alleged crime that was not committed by him.........
 Left with little choice in the matter; they then knocked on the doors of the village panchayat and even alluded to the fact that the 21 year old accused's father had held out the fig leaf of his offending son marrying the minor on whom he had wreaked untold atrocities but the 15 year old rape survivor's father refused the proposal as he feared the wrath of the law coming down upon him if he married off his minor daughter in contravention of the laid down law in this regard........
 Badly let down by both the Bihar police force and the village panchayat; the victim's family is now all set to approach the State Women's Commission as well as the State Human Rights Commission in their ceaseless and untiring quest for the much sought after but increasingly elusive justice for their long suffering minor daughter.........
 One only hopes and prays that the Bihar government and it's official machinery will at long last wake up from it's self imposed slumber after reading this and swing into action by duly apprehending the 21 year old justice and bringing the full force of the law down upon him without any further delay........

WILL OUR POLITICIANS FINALLY ENACT A LAW AGAINST MARITAL ATROCITIES.......

One really wonders whether sage wisdom will ever dawn on our political class and whether or not they will condescend to pass a stringent and efficacious/sagacious law that makes a sincere effort towards ending the numerous atrocities being committed by married men on their long suffering wives/better halves........
 Pune police (Hinjewadi Police Station) sleuths apprehended or then took a 35 year old Sus Road based software techie for having committed the heinous crime of clandestinely posting his unsuspecting spouse's mobile number on a sleazy website that offers escort and other allied services.........
 According to a senior inspector from the cyber cell of the Pune Police; the accused is gainfully employed in a multinational software company which operates from the city's renowned Rajiv Gandhi Infotech park and also threw light on the fact that the accused who has since been remanded to judicial custody posted her mobile number and other personal details on the said website in an effort to malign her character and defame her before the rest of the world........
This conniving; malicious and devious software techies 33 year old spouse was besieged by innumerable telephone calls from carnal and sex starved male suitors who more than willingly described their sexual fantasies in lurid detail in the expectation of fulfilling the same with the harried and hassled woman who was infuriated and agitated by the spate of unwanted and unsolicited calls........
 Having reached the end of the tether and run out of patience and tolerance the harried and troubled woman approached the cyber crimes cell of the Pune Police on July 22; 2016 and lodged a written complaint against an unknown person or persons who surreptitiously posted her mobile number and other personal details on the afore mentioned website.........
 Swinging into action the cyber cell sleuths successfully managed to trace the source of the now infamous information provided on the spurious website to the Machiavellan or then Chanakyan software techie who had committed the seemingly unpardonable sin of leaving a trail that led to his arrest/apprehension on the fateful morning of August 8; 2016.........
 This malicious gent who originally hails from Chhattisgarh's Bilaspur city has since broken down and confessed to his crime before the Pune police sleuths and cases have been registered against him under both the relevant and applicable sections of the Indian Penal Code as well as the existing IT act/s........
 Which brings us back to the moot question about our political dispensation summoning up the courage/fortitude and wisdom to enact and pass a far reaching and effective law that will nip the nefarious desires of all such husbands in the bud........

 Nawazuddin Siddiqui who was last seen gracing the silver screen as a diabolical and demonic serial killer in Anurag Kashyap's masterpiece "Raman Raghav 2.0" is all set to transmorgify or then transpose himself and his on screen persona as the quirky; quixotic and somewhat eccentric "Freaky Ali".......
 Yes that indeed is Nawaz's characters nomme de guerre in the Sohail Khan directed and Salman Khan produced flick which will see Nawazuddin essaying the role of a bumbling gent who is a cricketer by passion; gangster by profession and an unwitting golfer by providence and accident.........
 "Freaky Ali's" poster which was released online on various social networking sites and other sites which prominently feature film clips and videos certainly tingled one's senses and sent out feelers about this forthcoming release being a laugh riot and the trailer that was released online on Saturday by none other than the Hindi Film Industry's "Sultan" certainly did leave yours truly rolling in the aisles.........
 This must watch will more than tickle your funny bone as Nawaz reminds one of yesteryear icon I.S. Johar who left the ;paying audiences laughing till tears rolled down their cheeks and Nawaz more than holds out the underlying promise of doing all this and a lot more besides.........
 Slated to be released worldwide on September 9 (which happens to be Bakri Eid); this laugh a minute rollicking ride features Mr. Siddiqui in the lead role; Amy Jackson who was last seen along with matinee idol Akshay Kumar in "Singh Is Bling" and last but not the least poker faced Arbaaz Khan who enacts the role of "Freaky Ali's" soul mate (best friend) who sticks by him through thick and thin..........
 I for one will certainly be heading to my favourite multiplex (Inox; GVK One Mall; Banjara Hills) come September 9 notwithstanding the fact that the much anticipated Siddharth Malhotra Katrina Kaif starrer "Baar Baar Dekho" will also be releasing worldwide on the same day; but I for one have always believed in patronising films that venture off the beaten track and toggle your mind; hence I certainly will be making a beeline towards "Freaky Ali" and prefer to give the stereotypical and highly predictable potboiler "Baar Baar Dekho" a royal ignore.........

ALEX HALES BOWLS OVER PIQUED CRICKET FAN........

Our proud; arrogant ; boorish and haughty cricketers would do well to emulate team England opening bat Alex Hales and treat the fans who have accorded them demi god status with due respect and courtesy......
 Hales who was playing for his spot in the English test team in the just concluded Edgbaston test in which his team beat the Pakistanis by the proverbial country mile readily acceded to an irate and piqued fan's request for a 10% refund of the amount paid by him as he could only witness 81 overs being bowled rather than the stipulated 90 during the course of day's play........
 Alexis Fuller (the disgruntled fan) who witnessed the just concluded test match on Friday and Saturday exasperatedly demanded a 10% refund of the money paid by him to witness the day's proceedings after former English skipper and present day commentator Michael Vaughan raised his concerns over the abysmal over rate of both the competing teams and gave them a piece of his mind for only having bowled a pithy 81 overs during the course of 6 and a half hours.......
 Fuller immediately latched onto Vaughan's scathing and acerbic remarks about the appalling over rates and demanded a 10% refund of the amount paid by him as he felt cheated and slighted at having been denied his due right to watch the stipulated 90 overs of cricket as mandated by the ICC........
 He proceeded to send out a series of tweets to Alex Hales; Joe Root; Johnny Bairstow; Moeen Ali; Chris Woakes; Steven Finn; Stuart Broad and last but not the least Jimmy Anderson querying whether any one of these notables would care to refund 10% of the gate fees doled out by him as he had been denied his right to enjoy a full day's play thanks to the participating team's procrastination and time wasting.........
 Hales was the only English cricketer to take due notice of the avowed fan's tirade and graciously consented to refund Fuller the 4 pounds and 10 cents due to (10% of the gate fees) and asked him to provide him with details about his bank account so that he could deposit the said amount in the same post haste........
 Taken by utter surprise and wary about ending up at the receiving end of a hoax played on him by a prankster pretending to be Alex Hales Fuller somewhat reluctantly tweeted the details pertaining to his bank account and was more than pleasantly surprised to receive a telephonic message from his bank duly informing him that the above mentioned sum had been debited to his bank account from Mr. Hale's bank account.........
 An ecstatic and overwhelmed Fuller once again took to twitter to express his deep sense of gratitude and gushed about Hales gentlemanly behaviour and conduct that had completely bowled him over and left him shaking his head in utter disbelief.......
 Like I said earlier our "esteemed" cricketers who are mostly prone to treating the paying fan with utter contempt and disdain would do well to emulate Alex hales and learn a lesson or two in humility and graciousness from him.........

MOB JUSTICE AND UTTER MAYHEM.......

Yet another sickening; revolting and stark manifestation of the utter lawlessness and scant respect for the law prevalent in our so called civilised and ancient society and nation.......
 In a startling; distressing; disturbing and distressing incident of highly objectionable mob justice an undertrial who was incarcerated in Chhattisgarh's Durg Central Jail for having allegedly sexually assaulted his mother in a drunken stupor was battered to death by his fellow inmates in the early hours of Thursday morning.......
 This 32 year old accused's battered and bludgeoned body was discovered by the jail authorities in an obscure corner of the jail premises six to seven hours after the dastardly and deplorable act was committed by his fellow inmates who were incensed and infuriated by the "depravity and barbarity" of the alleged/purported crime........
 According to the now suspended jail superintendent the now deceased 32 year old chronic alcoholic was remanded to the Durg Central Jail on Wednesday by a judicial magistrate after the local police arrested him on the heinous charges of having sexually violated his 52 year old mother while he was in his usual drunken haze late on Tuesday night........
 "He (the 32 year old accused) was firstly assaulted and accosted by irate lawyers and and other court officials while he was being escorted to the jail premises by the local police personnel and prompt and timely action on part of the local police personnel saved him from being lynched by and incensed mob of lawyers; court officials and other bystanders"........
 Durg Central Jail Officials have since identified two murder accused Santosh Gada and Dinesh Tiwari as the masterminds behind the murderous attack and are in the process of interrogating more than 50 out of the 120 odd inmates of barrack number 14 of the Central Jail in order to identify the remaining members of the mob who conspired to cause the untimely demise of the accused 32 year old.........
 So much for the cosmetic and stereotypical efforts on the part of the jail officials to save their own skin but one wonders whether the jail officials beginning with the jail superintendent should not be booked for having aided and abetted a wilful; wanton; demonic and deplorable murder as they abysmally failed in their legally mandated and ordained duty to ensure the safety and security of every single inmate confined to the precincts of the Durg Central jail..........
 As I said earlier this grotesque and macabre incident is yet another striking example of the rapidly growing lawlessness and murderous tendencies that seem to have inundated the rank and file of a so called ancient civilisation and culture that is said to have worshipped and revered god's who assumed human forms........
 No matter however reprehensible and repugnant the alleged crime may have been nobody (and I mean nobody without exception) has the right to take the law into his/her own hands and dispense justice as he/she deems fit as the same will only end up destroying the last vestiges of respect for the life of fellow human beings and take us back to an age/era where the law of the jungle and survival of the fittest was the prevalent norm and dictum........

DEFINITE CAUSE FOR CONCERN.........

When if ever will this reprehensible and retrograde tendency of "banning" films and other works of draw to a halt.....
 Arshad Warsi; Boman Irani and Aditi Rao Hydari starrer "The Legend Of Michael Mishra" has become the latest Hindi film to fall foul with the authorities and self appointed/anointed and adjudicated "defenders of Indian culture and morality".......
 One wonders how the Chandigarh and Haryana administration/authorities can arbitrarily and whimsically ban a film that has been duly certified and passed by the Central Board For Film Certification (CBFC) without a single cut (which in itself must be some kind of record considering the sensibilities of Messrs Pahlaj Nihalani and company).........
 According to highly placed officials in the Panchkula administration; the decision to "ban" this film that was slated to hit the screens on Friday the 5th of August 2016 was taken at around 11 am or so one day prior to it's release fearing a break down in the law and order situation within the state in view of the ongoing protests by the Valmiki/Balmiki Samaj and such other similarly inclined or then like minded organisations.......
 This Manish Jha directed or helmed farcical comedy allegedly fell foul with these self appointed guardians of public morality and ethics as it allegedly "hurt and wounded" their so called religious sentiments by continually referring to Sage Valmiki as a "daaku" (dacoit).........
 Those who know their history or should I then say ancient folklore would be more than aware of the fact that Sage Valmiki was indeed a hunter and brigand of sorts before turning over a new leaf and going on to become one of the nation's most revered and widely admired sages and learned men........
 I for one am flummoxed and completely flabbergasted by this increasing and alarming tendency of extra constitutional or then blatantly unlawful organisations and so called samaj's deciding the ultimate fate of a film when both the Constitution of India and the law of the land have created an autonomous body and entrusted the job or certifying whether or not a film ought to be released to the same in their infinite wisdom.........
 Fellow and conscientious/concerned Indians; our constitutionally guaranteed rights to freedom of expression; free speech and creative freedom are under renewed; constant and seemingly irrevocable threat from the Sangh Parivar and it's affiliated regressive; repugnant; reprehensible and redundant organisations that seem to be emboldened by the deafening and mystifying silence of a government that is supposedly headed by a gent who on numerous occasions has boasted about his 56 inch chest; valour; bravura and courage to do the right thing unerringly.......
 It is therefore incumbent upon us to counter and resist this existing threat and ominipotent threat to our constitutionally enshrined and guaranteed freedoms with all our collective might and will as our failure to raise our voice against this deplorable tendency to "ban" all creative works on a collective whim and fancy will only end up pushing our country back into the dark ages and a period of religious persecution and obscurantism..........

RAPES AND SEXUAL CRIMES CONTINUE UNABATED.......

The highly distressing; disturbing and dismaying spate of sexual atrocities against women certainly shows no signs of abating in the Akhilesh Yadav ruled Uttar Pradesh.........
 Despite the so called "young; enterprising and dynamic" chief minister's protestations about the media especially 24 hour English News channels unduly distorting; manufacturing and concocting so called "fairy tales" about the recent surge in sexual crimes committed within his state; the fact remains that the number of reported rapes within Uttar Pradesh rose by an alarming and unprecedented 161% (In 2015-16) when compared with the figures for 2014 according to the NCRB website.......
 In the latest atrocity reported from the above mentioned state in less than a week or so a 23 year old Hapur (40 odd kilometres from Bulandshahr) based cosmetics saleswoman has alleged that she was sexually violated by two robbers who broke into her modest dwelling a little after 11 pm on Wednesday (August 3;2016) night....
 According to the version of events narrated by the rape survivor to the senior inspector of the Hapur (rural) police thana; two masked intruders gained entry into her home and hearth by picking the lock on her front door when she was in the land of lingering and pleasant dreams.......
 She was abruptly and unceremoniously awakened from her beauty sleep by the two masked assailants who brandished menacing looking knifes; they firstly relieved the woman of the Rs. 5,000/- that she had placed in her almirah's locker; gold chain; bangles; earrings; mobile phone and all other personal belongings......
 One of them held his knife to her neck and threatened to end her existence on planet earth if she as much as let out a whimper while his comrade in arms proceeded to sexually brutalise her and the same act was repeated by the second assailant while his comrade held his knife to the hapless woman's throat........
 They then proceeded to make good their escape after holding out the now stereotyped threats about snuffing out her life if she reported this grotesque incident to the police and so on and so forth; but the quivering; battered and shattered woman somehow or the other managed to summon up the requisite and required courage to wend her way to the afore mentioned police thana and register a written complaint against the two fugitives who had sexually violated her........
 Breaking away from the usual practice of the much maligned Uttar Pradesh Police; the senior officer who was on duty at 1:30 am (in the wee hours of Thursday morning) took due cognisance of the woman's written complaint and condescended to show her the mug shots of all the known criminals who were known to frequent the area but the rape survivor failed to identify any of them as they had well and truly succeeded in obscuring and masking their true identities..........
A case has been registered against the two absconding men under section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code and all the neighbouring police stations within a radius of 150 kilometres or so have been alerted and instructed to apprehend these rapists who are at large at the present time.........
Will the concerned police officials and political luminaries do the needful in this case or then will the victim once again be maligned; barracked; besieged; harassed; terrorised and harassed as has become the norm in all such rape cases that are reported during Akhilesh Yadav's reign as Uttar Pradesh's chief minister..........

PARENTS; TRADERS; PIMPS OR SATAN REINCARNATES.........

Can one really call or refer to this conniving; malicious; diabolical and devious couple as parents/mentors/guardians or any other synonymous term........
A 23 year old Lokhandwala based woman made good her escape from "Hell" (in her own words) late on Wednesday evening and is currently residing with a kindred soul who more than magnanimously stepped forward and gave this tormented soul refuge under her own roof......
 Narrating her tale of woe to high ranking Mumbai police sleuths alluded to her suspicions about her so called "parents" having "bought" her from her "natural" or then the couple who sired her within the first five years of her tumultuous and tortured life........
 "My so called parents forced me into the flesh trade (prostitution) on the day I turned 14; they clandestinely managed to procure my passport through a grubby and usurpious agent from Agra and continually took me to Dubai and other middle east destinations where I was made to perform obscene dances and satiate the perverse carnal desires of sheikhs and other affluent men who could pay my "parents" the price they quoted for my nubile and curvaceous body".........
 She also went on to reveal the sordid and distressing fact that this couple also had at least a dozen or so more "daughters" like her who were between the age of 15-25 and had ensconced or then confined and caged them at various locations spread across the length and breadth of the nation's commercial capital.......
 Senior and high ranking Mumbai Police Officials have taken due cognisance of this doughty and gallant young woman's litany of complaints/grouses against her so "called" parents and entrusted the seemingly onerous responsibility of carrying out an expeditious; exhaustive; thorough; professional and time bound probe to a senior inspector from the crime branch on the basis of the official complaint registered by the indomitable 23 year old woman against her so called "parents" who have surreptitiously disappeared and instructed the investigating officer to take the couple into custody as soon as the investigating team is able to trace their whereabouts........
