TIME FOR THE REINCARNATED AND REVAMPED "MONTY" PANESAR........

Currently out of favour left arm twirler Madhusudan Singh (Monty) must either be an incorrigible optimist or then the most delusional character on planet earth......
"Monty" who teased; tormented and traumatised the much vaunted Indian batting line up in tandem with his then "spin twin" Graeme Swann (remember England's epochal and triumphant Indian tour of 2012) told an Australian daily that he expects the resilient and doughty Englishman to bounce back and win the ongoing five test match series against the Virat Kohli led Indian test team despite being one down at last count.......
Panesar who has been plagued by a series of career threatening or then should I say shortening shoulder injuries off late is currently plying his trade for a Sydney based side in Australia's domestic championships while concurrently undergoing a lengthy and arduous rehabilitation and convalescence exercise.......
This doughty Sardar who annexed 17 wickets during the course of the "historic" 2012 test series (only Swann did one better than him by garnering 20 wickets) during the course of the four test series grew nostalgic when asked about his Ludhiana based roots and quipped that there is nothing he would love to do more than making the Indian batsmen dance to his beguiling and tantalising tunes while filling himself to the gills with his favourite "makki di roti and sarson da saag" which is the current flavour of the season in the land of five rivers.......
34 year old Monty who last donned the English colours or then appeared in the English test colours a good three or so years ago had a sage word or two or advice for the beleaguered English skipper Alastair Cook and urged him to unleash his battery of pacers on the Indian batsmen as the present lot of English skippers lacked the guile; ability; gumption; wherewithal and pedigree to annex twenty Indian wickets on their own........
One wonders whether the English team management will now send a lightning SOS to the irrepressible Sardar who is streets ahead of the "sorry apologies" for trundlers who have made the cut/trip to Indian shores this time around........
