"TRUE" REPRESENTATIVE OF THE PEOPLE.........

Whoever said that you need a political pedigree/lineage, crores in your bank account and last but not the least, blessings of an institution in Indian politics to carve out your own place in the political firmament; numerous examples prove that you can indeed make it big if the world is your oyster and you have your heart and soul in the right places.......
Meet Kusheshwar Bhagat, a gentleman hailing from Madhubani in Bihar who has been satiating his loyal customers taste buds and palates with the most delectable and sumptuous pav bhaji that Gurgaon has boasted off for the last two decades and more........
Bhagat is a lot more than your archetypal food entrepreneur, he duly contested the parliamentary elections in 2009 but couldn't make it to the lower house due to the lack of public support and patronage of any kind........
An eternal optimist and incorrigible believer in himself, Bhagat hopes to turn the tide in his favour this time around and make it to the lower house in the forthcoming general elections on the groundswell of the popular support that he claims to have garnered during his sojourn in Gurgaon.......
Bhagat was born in Bihar's backward and nondescript Madhubani district a little over 43 summers back and subsequently left his home and hearth for the greener pastures of Mumbai at the "ripe old" age of 13 and spent the best part of a decade in India's commercial capital trying his hand at various ventures and professions.......
He however found his life's calling in the "humble" pav bhaji, went on to master the art of making the same and then wended his way towards the up and coming satellite town of Gurgaon with his wife and three and three fledgling children a little over two decades ago and began his journey therein with the aid of a handcart (thela) from where he used to peddle his own version of the mouth watering pav bhaji.......
On being asked for the reasons behind his decision to try his fortune at the political hustings, Bhagat remarks, " I was dismayed at the sorry and dishevelled state of the education system of this country, though I only studied up to class IX, I soon realised that the present educational system needed to be revamped from the grassroot level upwards if it needed to cater to the needs and demands of the nation's future generations"......
" I had the most harrowing experience of my life when I began making the rounds of various schools in and around Gurgaon in order to secure my children's admission in them, the fees being demanded by these 'elite' schools were not only unrealistic and exorbitant, but also put paid to any thoughts that a poor man might have had of educating his children" and that is precisely why I decided to jump into the fray.......
" I will make sure that the present system of making hapless parents part with lakhs of rupees of their hard earned money in the form of admission fess is soon reduced to an anachronism and will also address Gurgaon's numerous civic and internal transportation in a timely, efficacious and cost effective manner if given an opportunity by the people of the city to serve them", he signs off.......
Proud owner of a Nano car, motorcycle and humble house, Bhagat discloses that he has nothing more apart from these assets and a bank balance of some Rupees 1.5 lakh or so, my better half has a bank balance of some Rs.20,000/- or so and the encomiums, love and affection showered upon us by our loyal clients/customers/neighbours and well wishers are our "true" earnings, Bhagat bashfully remarks.......
Here's wishing the Bhagat family every success in life and especially at the political hustings as Bhagat and others of his ilk who have risen up from the ground through the sheer dint of their own efforts are the peoples "true" netas rather than a political satrap's fawning sycophant or undeserving spawn of some hallowed political family........
Wish the nation abounded with countless others like him.......
