ONE FROM THE HEART........

Now here is an example that is certainly worth emulating and replicating time after time.....
Braving or rather overcoming seemingly insurmountable odds and circumventing/somersaulting stereotypical caste and class barriers; the 25 year old son of a simple and unassuming Indore (Madhya Pradesh) based rag picker's 25 year old son has certainly done both the family; city as well as the nation proud by gaining admission into the echelons of a prominent Bhopal based medical college......
Feisty; doughty; plucky and indomitable Dev Kor more than willingly picked up the cudgels and began providing for her family comprising of three sons herself and her ailing husband ever since her now bed ridden spouse had to give up the thankless and literally back breaking job as a rag picker owing to the constant epileptic seizures that wracked his emaciated body with nauseating regularity......
Noticing her youngest son's Vijay's mental acumen and burning desire to make a name for both himself and his family this present day version of "Mother India" decided to take matters in her own more than capable hands and furthered his raging desire to seek admission into a medical college by taking loans from usurpious and unscrupulous money lenders at exorbitant rates of interest to fund her beloved son's education........
Acknowledging the eternal debt of gratitude that he owes his doting mother; Vijay unabashedly admits that his mother neither took a backward step or shirked her duties towards her progenies despite having to toil for a soul shattering 18 hours a day and more in order to repay the thousands of Rupees she had taken as loans to fund her son's higher education.........
Vijay who is a first year student in the afore mentioned Bhopal based colleges much sought after and coveted Bachelors in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery course explains his momentous journey thus; "I was fortunate enough to get noticed by a now deceased noble and selfless doctor who took me on board as his clinical assistant despite my rather underprivileged status as a resident of an archetypal stinking slum and a ten year old who used to attend a government run school"......
"This very same gentleman evinced a more than keen interest in nurturing my growing fascination and interest in making medicine my chosen vocation; brought the same to the notice of my godly mother and even started paying me an allowance or then stipend of sorts for helping him out in his noteworthy pursuit of serving mankind with a smile without expecting anything in return"......
Vijay who supplements his mother's earnings with his very own by doubling up as an attendant in the very college where he is pursuing his medical degree says that this is the very least he can do to contribute his mite towards his worshipful mother's earnest and sincere efforts to pay off the loans that she had taken on his behalf..........
He further goes on to add that he wants to complete his Bachelors in Homeopathy as soon as his extraordinary mental abilities allow him to and dedicate himself to the cause of serving mankind with a smile transcending all barriers of caste; creed; religion; sect or economic status..........
Here's wishing the heroic mother and son duo the very best in all their future endeavours and hoping that their soul stirring;deeply inspiring and heart warming example inspires others to follow in their wake......
