FRIVOLITY TRUMPS REASON AND SANITY........

Our beloved and venerated nation certainly seems to be inundated with seemingly insane folks who seem hell bent on enjoying their fifteen minutes of fame through any means possible as long as the same guarantees them the spotlight for that brief interim.............
One more such person (a Chandigarh based hitherto anonymous advocate who answers to the name of Arvind Thakur) has made his misplaced and comic attempt at the same by filing a petition before the afore mentioned court alleging that the forthcoming biopic "Sarbjit" co-starring Randeep Hooda and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan which is slated to release nationwide on May 20; 2016 must be banned as it grossly misrepresented and exaggerated facts pertaining to the life and times of this long suffering Indian gent whose life was brutally extinguished in an infamous Pakistani prison.........
Taking due cognisance of the petition filed by the above mentioned self styled "do gooder and protector of morality and truth"; the said local court on Thursday morning issued notices to both Dalbir Kaur (sister of the deceased Sarbjit Singh who has wholeheartedly embraced and endorsed the same film) as well as one Raj Kumar; the regional officer of the Central Board of Film Certification; New Delhi asking them to file their replies to the same on or before May 19; 2016..........
Thank the good lord for tender mercies; this frenzied and somewhat crazed gent spared Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda who plays the eponymous character of Sarabjit the ignominy of either having to make a court appearance or then filing their replies through their advocates to his inane and worthless petition that seems to make a mockery of all things sane and sacrosanct........
One also wonders why the court in it's infinite wisdom thought it worth it's while to admit this futile and nonsensical plea when Ms. Dalbir Kaur who spent two decades and more of her eventful life in a heroic/sterling/soul stirring and noteworthy attempt to rid her brother of the inglorious "spy" tag that had been foisted on him by the Pakistani establishment as well as end his two decade plus long incarceration in Lahore's notorious Kot Lakhpat Jail but failed in her earnest attempts thanks to the utter callousness and indifference shown towards her and her brother by an Indian system and government that couldn't care less........
Whatever the reason may be; insanity seems to have trumped sanity and reason once again as yet another well intentioned and inspiring flick that only wanted to draw the nation's attention to the rather heart rending and sorrowful tale of a wronged and hapless gent who was repeatedly let down by his country; government;judiciary and legal system finds itself hauled across the coals for neither rhyme or sane reason.........
