In her latest humanitarian and good samaritan avatar; Dia has teamed up with or then synergised with the Mumbai based Genesis Foundation and will co-host a series of events from October 20 onwards in an earnest and well meaning/intentioned effort expressly meant go generate or raise efforts to facilitate the much required and timely treatment of critically ill children whose hapless and impoverished families cannot bear the mammoth medical expenses.......
According to an official spokesperson from the Genesis Foundation; the movers and shakers or then galvanising forces within the echelons of the very same took a conscious and informed decision to approach Dia to become the organisation's brand ambassador cum face of the envisaged effort to raise the much sought after funds/resources through "Ketto" an online fund raising facility/portal/website that enables folks/organisations to raise funds through its auspices for either social; creative or personal ameliorative or restorative causes.......
More than graciously acceding to be a part of this one of it's kind initiative Dia candidly or pithily quipped that today's go getting generation had all but forgotten the dying art of giving; sharing; loving and caring and that she ardently hoped to teach more than a few folks the real meaning of these words through her participation in this drive.........
Continuing further in the same vein; Ms. Mirza went on to elucidate the fact that the last few days spent in the august company of these ailing kids who continue to smile despite the seemingly insurmountable odds that they are confronted with on a minute by minute basis had not only restored her somewhat misplaced faith in fellow humans and the almighty but also rekindled her mojo and spirit to do more than her bit to promote such causes that champion and espouse the cause of the really deserving while expecting precious little if anything at all in return........
Dia signed off by promising to contribute a sizeable sum out of her own personal kitty in addition to walking the proverbial extra mile in her yeoman's effort to loosen the purse strings or then lighten the wallets of those well heeled Indians who could afford to do all this and a lot more besides.........
