Chaurasia was in the habit of sauntering onto the terrace of the very same high rise building unfailingly every single afternoon and enjoying a two odd hour long siesta according to fellow residents of the same building and this unsavoury and unholy episode occurred during the same time span........
Alas for Chaurasia; his intended victim was made of sterner stuff than he expected and more than adroitly managed to extricate herself from his soiled tentacles and fled the spot loudly and imploringly calling out for help all the while.......
Her alarmed mother; building's security guards and concerned fellow residents restrained and confined the accused for forty five odd minutes till the cops from the adjoining police station reached the crime scene recorded the statement of both the indomitable 7 year old and her irate and incensed mother before taking Siddhanand into their custody.......
He was produced before a judicial magistrate at around 11 am or so on Wednesday morning and the legal functionary promptly remanded him to five days police custody in order to facilitate the concerned police sleuths further investigation into the reported crime........
Booked under all the relevant and applicable sections of the Indian Penal Code as well as the POCSO Act; this 70 year old avaricious gent is looking at the unpleasant and unseemly possibility of spending the next seven years or so in a city jail if the alleged crime supposedly committed by him is proven or established beyond all reasonable doubt.......
