While the first triumphant and euphoric cries of a newly born infant rang out resoundingly within the hallowed confines of Aurangabad's (Maharashtra) famed and iconic maternity ward (within the precincts of the city's government run Dr. Shankarrao Chavan Medical College and Hospital) at around 6:30 am or so on a particularly eventful and tragic Thursday morning; her father was drawing his last breath on planet earth during this lifetime in the trauma and emergency ward of the same medical facility......
28 year old Santosh More was critically injured when a recklessly driven truck plowed into his motor cycle from behind on the fateful Tuesday evening and pronounced brain dead by the doctors manning the afore mentioned ward at the very same moment that his pride and bundle of joy announced her arrival on terra firma in no uncertain terms........
According to the hospital's medical superintendent; More's better half Bhagyashree who was in the last month of her pregnancy began experiencing particularly agonising and wracking contractions in her womb as soon as the news about her husband's critical condition was conveyed to her early on Wednesday morning and therefor had to be admitted post haste to the hospital's maternity ward........
As her predicament was only worsening with every passing minute the team of doctors attending on her decided to perform a Caesarean section delivery and extricate baby from the potentially deathly confines of her mother's womb as her mother had developed complications that put paid to any chances whatsoever of her having a normal delivery.......
Alas; little did she know that the infant's father would be departing from the planet the very moment his daughter heralded her euphoric entry into the stratosphere; but her valiant father succeeded in providing five critically ill patients In Aurangabad; Nanded and Mumbai as his grieving family more than willingly consented to donate his vital organs to these needy souls......
Barely an hour or so after Sanjeevani was born More's life support system was switched off as the team of surgeons successfully managed to retrieve his corneas; kidneys; lungs;liver; and spleen though they failed in their attempt to salvage his heart as well for a plethora of reasons.......
Narrating the family's harrowing ordeal; More's younger sibling Gangadhar tearfully revealed the fact that none of the surviving family members of the More family will ever be able to forget the said Thursday morning in their lifetimes as they were bidding farewell to a beloved family member while celebrating the birth of the latest addition to the family at the same moment......
