Married life or more precisely hellish and seemingly unbearable married lives more often than not end up wreaking havoc in the supposedly unremarkable and stereotyped existence of married couples........
A 70 year old Kansas (US of A) based 70 year old gent who answers to the name of Lawrence John Ripple created more than a minor ripple in the largely nondescript lives of the fellow inhabitants of his locality when he held up the local branch of America's foremost bank for around 30 minutes or so on a typically balmy Thursday morning.......
According to the FBI agent who led the team of FBI sleuths who apprehended the vexed and distressed senior citizen; John casually sauntered into the said bank branch a little after 10 am or so on the fateful morning and handed over a handwritten note to the bank teller demanding all the cash available in her till as he was in possession of a menacing automatic weapon and would not hesitate to fire the same if his demands were not acceded to.......
Alarmed and consternated beyond all reasonable belief; the concerned bank teller hurriedly emptied her money chest and handed over an amount a little in excess of 75,000/- US $ to John while simultaneously setting off an automatic alarm strategically available within the confines of her cubicle.......
Heavily armed security guards who rushed into the bank premises as soon as the alarm was set off found the supposedly armed and lethal bandit peacefully squatting on a bank bench seemingly resigned to his ultimate fate........
One of these very same security guards promptly alerted the local cops as well as the afore mentioned FBI agents who arrived on the crime scene within a few minutes and took John into their custody; on being queried why he had pulled off this seemingly mindless antic; John laconically and rather ruefully quipped that he had entered into a particularly heated; bitter and acrimonious exchange of words with his better half of 46 odd years standing and preferred to spend a considerable period of his remaining years within the forbidding and claustrophobic confines of a jail cell rather than the hell on earth his marital home had become.......
A bemused and astonished local cop rather disbelievingly revealed the fact that the menacing and deathly weapon that John had in his possession/clutches was nothing more than a replica (Toy) of an AK 56 automatic weapon that was available at most departmental stores for a mere 5 US $ or so........ Like I said earlier hellish and tormenting marriages do indeed transform mere ,mortals into fiends from the innermost recesses of Satan's favourite inferno........
