As a matter of principle yours truly is vehemently and inexorably opposed to internet trolls who have made it their self appointed business to chastise; lampoon and lambast practically any and every comment made on twitter and such other social networking mediums.......
Circumstances; effrontery of comment; it's emotive appeal and last but not the least expressed desire and motive behind the same determine my stance on this seemingly vexatious and controversial issue every single time and it is no different this time around.......
One may do well to remember the indisputable and irrefutable fact that I have steadfastly stood by stormy petrel Gautam Gambhir's seemingly controversial and stormy comments in the past but even and avowed and committed supporter like moi more than disagrees with Gambhir's expressed sentiments this time......
Mr. Gambhir took to his twitter handle and penned the following comment on the Uri martyrs (19 gallant and selfless army men who laid down their lives in the cause of the country) pertaining to these martyrs being the subject matter of a series of planned/forthcoming biopics rather than cricketers/fellow sportsemen or celebrities who had done precious little if anything for the cause of mother India........
Trollers who seemed to be awaiting their latest victim or then object of their collective ire wasted no time whatsoever in cutting Gambhir down to size and questioned his sagacity; sincerity; emotional depths and the like by raising umpteen or then a plethora of questions about the timing and appropriateness of Gambhir's expressed comments in this regard.......
Live and let live has always been my ruling dictum during the course of my 47 year long on planet earth; but even I for one feel that Gautam has bitten off more than he could chew this time around and should have weighed or then considered his words far more diligently and painstakingly before committing them to his twitter handle.......
