More than impressed with his sterling exploits with the bat during his exceedingly short county stint; English County side Derbyshire has initiated talks with team India's bulwark Cheteshwar Pujara for a renewed stint during the 2015 county championships/season........
Pujara represented the struggling English country side with rare distinction and aplomb in the last few weeks of the championship and notched up an impressive 219 runs at a staggering average of 54.75 in the last three games of the season..........
Confirming the news; Derbyshire's Elite Performance Director Graeme Welch said that the county side was in an advanced stage of negotiations with the Indian test batsman and more than keen to have him on board for the 2015 season........
Welch further went on to say that, "Pujara integrated himself perfectly into the English county side and the rest of his mates were so impressed by his humility, earnestness and uncompromising work ethic that they welcomed him with open arms into their midst and now don't want to let go of him"......
"Pujara on his part is more than keen on establishing himself as a batsmen of repute in testing conditions and more than keen on renewing his ties with Derbyshire but his IPL related commitments (Pujara plays for Kings XI Punjab in the IPL) as well as a short test tour of Bangladesh might see him missing out on three months of much desired county action and the county side's team management is keep it's fingers crossed while trying to work a way around these commitments in order to ensure that Pujara dons their colours for the longest possible time"..........
