GREG CHAPPELL'S SECOND COMING IN INDIAN CRICKETING CIRCLES??????

Talk about eating humble crow after spewing venom at a cricketing legend; berating him and calling him the choicest of names/epithets after the culmination of his two year stint as team India's head coach........
According to highly placed BCCI sources; the Indian cricket board is actively mulling/considering/pondering over the idea of roping in the "maverick" or rather somewhat "eccentric" Australian Cricketing Legend in a completely new avatar at Bengaluru's much vaunted National Cricket Academy........
Yes; don't rub your eyes in utter disbelief; you certainly did read it right the very first time around, the Board is willing to let go of the mutual acrimony, distrust and deep rooted suspicion and bring back Gregory Stephen Chappell in the brand new avatar as a "Super" Coach or rather coach who will oversee the training of Indian domestic coaches at the NCA a little over seven years after his stint as team India's head coach ended in a stormy fashion.........
If the near impossible does indeed happen; the same would only serve to deepen or embellish the already existing Aussie link as five time umpire of the year Simon Taufel has already been entrusted with the back breaking responsibility of appointing match referees for the domestic circuit as well as conducting periodic umpiring workshops for Indian umpires........
A three member NCA team which had visited Cricket Australia's "Centre of Excellence" in Brisbane very recently is in the process of finalising a mutually beneficial tie up with the Centre as it was duly impressed by the existing facilities therein and Chappell could be directly involved in the proposed exchange programme as the current head of the Centre........
Inexorably impressed with the exchanges that it had with Messrs Chappell and such noteworthy others; the three member NCA team is more than keen on having Chappell coach all prospective/budding Indian coaches as his immense and deep rooted knowledge of the game and innovative methods of imparting the very same knowledge could make a world of difference to the Indian coaching scene.........
Mr. Chappell who was in India as recently as August 2014 with the Australian "A" side had expressed his keenness and willingness to coach budding Indian coaches subject to the signing of an agreement to this effect by the two cricket boards in question; one may also do well to recall the fact that Greg was associated in an advisory capacity with the now defunct Rajasthan State Cricket Association Academy until very recently and also roped in by the Pathan brothers (Yusuf and Irfan) for their newly launched cricket academy in Baroda..........
However; another section of the BCCI espouses caution and restraint considering the particularly acrimonious, bitter and acrimonious relationship between the BCCI and Mr. Chappell in the past as well as the deep rooted sense of mistrust harboured by Indian cricketers about the efficacy and relevance of Mr. Chappell's somewhat eccentric and heretic coaching methods.........
Will we or won't we see Greg Chappell's second coming within the Indian cricketing echelons???? well your informed guess on this one is as good or bad as mine.........
