Will the Modi government wake up from it's salubrious slumber at least now and suitably tweak/amend the existing Laws pertaining to dastardly;ghastly heinous/depraved/monstrous crimes as suggested by the honourable Supreme Court Of India........
In the latest instance of an inhuman and utterly despicable crime committed by a juvenile and his comrades in arms a class 11 female student from Madya Pradesh's Chhatarpur was set alight by the offender and accomplices late on Saturday night as she showed the guts and gumption to ward off their unwelcome and condemnable advances.........
This despicable incident occurred in the district's Basata village and culminated in the grievously burnt and injured young woman succumbing to the innumerable injuries inflicted upon her by her tormentors and molestors...........
According to the deceased's inconsolable family members; four youths from their very same neighbourhood namely the main accused Manvendra and his cohorts Laxman Singh; Raj Bahadur and Pushpendra Singh clandestinely forced their way into their nondescript dwelling late on Saturday night when the victim was all alone at home..........
They firstly tried their level best to subjugate the doughty young woman and were rather rudely and abruptly taken aback when the indomitable damsel fought back with all the ferocity and tenacity of a cornered tigress; alarmed about the prospects of their devious deed coming to light; Manvendra doused the young woman with kerosene from a can placed in the corner of the room where these four youths were trying to overpower her and then set her ablaze...........
Within a matter of a few minutes; the young woman was thoroughly overwhelmed by the flames that engulfed her and died an excruciatingly painful and horrifying death in the furnace that was to snuff out her fledging life for eternity.........
Neighbours who were alarmed by the flames arising out of the young lady's dwelling made a beeline towards the spot just in time to see the four accused youths making good their escape from the spot and somehow managed to douse the flames that had snuffed out the girl's life...........
A few of them rushed towards the adjoining village where the young girl's family members were attending a family function and apprised them of their beloved daughter's tragic and untimely departure from planet earth well before her appointed time..........
The area's cops swung into action the very minute a complaint was registered against the four accused youths by the girl's grieving parents and other eyewitnesses who swore to the fact that they saw the four youths in question making their way out of the said dwelling.........
All four of them were arrested by Sunday afternoon from different locations and produced before a magistrate on Sunday evening; the magistrate in turn confined them to 5 days police custody for further questioning and gathering of evidence.........
Cases under sections 302 (murder); 452 (house trespass after preparation for hurt; assault or wrongful confinement/restraint; 31 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and all other relevant and applicable sections of the Juvenile Justice Act have been booked against the four accused youths.........
Doctors from the district's government hospital have been entrusted with the onerous and arduous responsibility of ascertaining whether or not the victim's claims about being juveniles are indeed true and expected to submit their report in this regard within a week or so..........
