The latest kid on the bandwagon is none other than poet; playwright; activist; lyricist; script and screenplay writer; narrator; director; actor par excellence and activist Piyush Mishra's simply mesmerising; brilliant and enthralling 20 odd minute short film titled "kathakaar" that has literally grabbed "you tube" by it's very eye balls and everything else that it can latch on to.......
Piyush who is better known for his forays into live theatre or then plays and the like literally sinks his teeth into this once of it's kind in a lifetime role that sees him essaying the utterly believable and poignant role of an all but down and out "kathakaar" or storyteller who has literally nothing but to fall back upon apart from his almost defunct oratorial skills and how the very same see him rising like the proverbial phoenix and reclaiming his lost place in the acting firmament.......
More than adroitly and masterfully directed by the hitherto unknown and unheralded Abhimanyu Kanodia; "Kathakaar" has been doing the rounds of a plethora of international film festivals and the like for the last few months garnering awards; plaudits and accolades by the bushelful in the bargain and will now be competing for the much coveted Jio Filmfare Short Film Award 2017 in the second week of the New Year.......
Here's wishing this rare gem many more such accolades; awards; honours; encomiums; plaudits et all and much more than it's more than due fifteen minutes of fame and glory........
