According to highly placed sources in the Mumbai police; the struggling actor who played small and insignificant roles in Munnabhai MBBS; Tango Charlie and Chandni Bar has been booked on charges of allegedly sexually assaulting (raping) a small time television actress........
A FIR has been registered under sections 376 (rape); 420 (cheating); 506 (criminal intimidation) as well as other relevant and applicable sections of the Indian Penal Code on the basis of a complaint filed against Thakkar by the afore mentioned actress at Mumbai's Charkop police station on Thursday.......
In her written statement filed before the police; the woman actress alluded to the fact that Thakkar befriended her and soon started forcing himself upon her within the four walls of her home and hearth............ He would mollify her and assuage her hurt feelings and persona with the highly enticing promise of marrying her as soon as he landed a starring role; and though this alleged tale of sexual abuse and mutual recrimination went on for the last eight months or so; Thakkar neither landed that elusive starring role nor honoured his oft repeated promise of marrying the actress who essayed various roles in numerous television serials........ Utterly fed up with the actor's dilly dallying and false/hollow ringing promises; the wronged woman proceeded to file the afore mentioned complaint against her wannabe suitor thereby landing him in a none to salubrious predicament.........
Thakkar who is currently out of the city at present will be summoned for questioning as soon as he retraces his steps back to the city and arrested if the woman's complaint against him stands up to scrutiny; the case's investigating officer said..........
One continues to wonder why seasoned and supposedly worldly wise women continue to fall prey to the wiles and antics of soulless men who dangle the carrot of marriage in front of them every single time despite the rank and file of the media being inundated with a plethora of such sordid and sorry stories highlighting the plight of numerous women who fell into the unholy clutches of these men with raging libidos..........
