MURDER FOR MATERIAL GAIN.........

Greed, avarice and an unquenchable thirst or then should I say yearning for all things material seem to be ruling over our sense of perception, fairness and temperance if the below mentioned incident is any yardstick or parameter to go by.......

A devious and evil minded tenant brutally attacked and murdered his ageing landlord in a furtive and misplaced attempt to usurp and take over his property by using means both reprehensible as well as condemnable......

Rajesh a 36 year old driver by profession firstly attacked and then subsequently strangled his 55 year old landlord to death in the national capital's Bhajanpura locality late on Monday night.......

His crime came to light when the sister of the victim (landlord) saw Rajesh making a hurried and tardy attempt at getting rid off the incriminating evidence that could see him spending a considerable period of time behind bars in a constricted and stifling jail cell by burying the body in a secluded and relatively less inhabited area.....

He was apprehended or then taken into custody on the very same night by alert police officials who swung into action as soon as they received a telephone call from the deceased's sister duly informing them about Rajesh's misdeeds and nefarious activities....

During the course of sustained and exhaustive interrogation Rajesh shed light on his reasons (motives) for having carried out the gruesome act; according to him, "ha had failed to pay his rent for the last three months and was being threatened with immediate eviction by his landlord time and again"........

"Not knowing what else to do I attacked the middle aged gent and then strangled him as I though that this would not only shut him up for good, but also enable me to transfer his property on my name"..........

Well, Rajesh's hasty and mistimed actions took him everywhere else but where he planned to be, he dreamt of a secure future under a roof acquired by snuffing out a fellow beings life; but will instead spend a considerable part of his natural life incarcerated in a dark, dingy and desolate jail cell......

Ill conceived, hasty and misguided actions only end up causing more harm than good to the perpetrator more often than not, so pause, prevaricate and ponder for a suitably long interval before giving in to the urges of Satan or then Shaitaan as you prefer to call him........
