In my own humble way, I would like to suggest that the founding minds of the Hyderabad for change portal consider this time bound agenda for change and take in on board for action and implementation........
Let's initiate a process of wide ranging discussions with legal minds on the issue of either drafting new laws to address this seemingly mammoth issue of crimes against women or the strengthening and reinforcing the already existing laws in this regard to the extent that all avenues of escape for both first time as well as serial offenders are effectively sealed and breached.........
Give ourselves a three week deadline for this activity, combine, collate our collected efforts in this direction in a cohesive manner and forward the same to the Justice Verma commission that has been expressly constituted by the government for this very purpose..........
Create an avenue wherein the common man on the street or then people who actively participate in the vigils/programmes at Peoples' Plaza can fearlessly express their views, hopes and aspirations about the change that they want to see in themselves, the system and society as a whole; combine and collate these welcome suggestions and forward the same to our chief minister and bureaucrats in the forlorn hope that they will initiate suitable action on these suggestions at long last..........
A two week long deadline can be allotted to the above proposed activity; and last but not the least let's provide women with effective and simple self defence tips with the aid and abbettment of experts in this field as these handy tips would certainly prove to be of immense help to these seemingly hapless women whenever they are confronted with an assailant with dishonourable intentions...........
Let's be the change that we want to see within our country, society and system; let's articulate the same in a user friendly, cohesive and easy to understand manner and get this long overdue process of being the change under way at long last........
