When you're happy and you know it, clap your hands, went the tagline of a popular song that most of us if not all of us sang during our childhood, the same could be amended as when you love somebody, show it through hugs, cuddles and kisses in my humble opinion.......
A significant majority of us show a remarkable penchant or propensity to take our loved one's for granted; bypass them, neglect and forget them and only begin to realise their true worth and significance when they're no longer around and accessible to us......
Our upbringing and legendary reserve is equally responsible for this malady in no small measure, we're all thought the desirability of masking our emotions and conducting ourselves with dignity and a stiff upper lip while either in a public space or then in the presence of elders or other equally venerated or respected one's........
Let's all give up this hypocritical behaviour once and for all and begin to show the people who really matter to us that they're special and loved by hugging them, kissing them, cuddling them and sharing a warm word or anecdote at any and every given opportunity.........
Sending out birthday, anniversary or New Year Cards is one such way of doing so, though a ten minute telephone call expressly made to express your love and concern for a loved one, may prove to be equally if not significantly more effective in reaching out and telling them that they're wanted and cared for.......
Start doing this without any further ado, today, here, now and do not wait for tomorrow and it's rather dismal and sorry aftermath of ruing your fate after the passing on or demise of the loved one you wanted to reach out to and smother with your love and affection........
Begin to listen to the language of the heart from this very moment onwards and save yourselves the ignominy and sorrow of regret and remorse in the near future if you really care and do want to reach out to that someone special with your heart, words, gestures and feelings for them...............
