A sick; convoluted; depraved and despicable mentality seems to be manifesting itself time and again in this glorious country what with an increasing propensity to rape and desecrate female forms no matter whatever their ages and physical form may be........
In the latest deplorable display of this less than ideal mentality; a 14 year old girl was allegedly kidnapped and subsequently desecrated and defiled for 3 interminable days at a nondescript location in Visakhapatnam's Thadiveedhi locality........
By the grace of the almighty; the bruised; battered and all but wrecked young girl somehow managed to make her way to an open window in her prison and den of shame and screamed her lungs out thereby attracting the attention of a few good samaritans who paid heed to her entreaties and informed the local cops.......
Led by a sub inspector of police; a few disbelieving Two Town cops broke open the door of the dwelling and rescued the girl who was bound hand and foot by her tormentors; she was in turn taken to the nearby King George Hospital late on Saturday afternoon where medical tests conclusively established that she was raped and defiled multiple times...........
And all this on account of the fact that the young girl/lady knew no better and reposed all her trust and confidence in a so called friend Prasad (21) whom she had befriended on a social networking site and hence preferred his company rather than peacefully and convivially coexisting with her grandparents in Tuni town as she had been doing for the last decade and more........
More than overjoyed with all the unsuspecting and gushing love and adulation being showered on him; the so called "friend and confidante" Prasad soon got one of his partners in crime one T. Veerababu to join them and the duo led the unsuspecting victim to Veerababu's house in the afore mentioned locality where they took turns in savaging her over a period extending a little over three days........
While one of her assailants; namely Veerababu was arrested from Andhra Pradesh's Ankapalli town late on Saturday evening and remanded to police custody; the main accused Prasad still remains at large and the Visakhapatnam police has since launched a massive manhunt in an effort to nab him at the earliest........
It is now incumbent on us so called elders to educate the younger generation about the pitfalls and perils of reposing their trust and confidence in every Tom; Dick and Harry they befriend and meet on social networking sites that have begun to inundate the worldwide web off late........
Simply because every man is not a a knight in shining armour and trust and confidence are valued commodities that should only be reposed in after due diligence and considerable deliberation..........
