OLD HABITS DIE HARD..........

One may be pardoned for thinking that the bonhomie and camaraderie that existed between the ranks of the Hindi Film Industry and dreaded Mumbai underworld or then mafia was a thing of the past and the two had subsequently moved on........
Think again; as here comes the news about the Mumbai Police contemplating the registration of a FIR against the dishy; dapper; suave and debonair Arjun Rampal as he deigned to meet the infamous Don Arun Gawli in the city's JJ Hospital on December 29;2014.........
This said meeting took place between the duo in the early evening of the said day when Gawli was escorted to the JJ hospital for a "routine" check up from Navi Mumbai's Taloja Jail where he is currently serving a life sentence for murdering a fellow human being........
According to legal experts; Arjun Rampal consciously contravened section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) by not seeking the written permission of either the jail authorities; or court before meeting Gawli and also that a detailed and painstaking investigation carried out by the JJ Marg police personnel had conclusively concluded that Rampal had indeed violated the laid down laws in this regard and hence a FIR must be filed against him.........
In his defence; Rampal said that he had cursorily bumped into Gawli while sauntering through the corridoors of the said hospital on the fateful day while doing his research for the role of a character based on the life and times of the notorious crime warlord in an under production film titled "Daddy"..........
Whatever may be the case; the fact remains that Mr. Rampal indeed contravened the laid down laws in this regard and hence finds himself in a rather sorry and cumbersome predicament of his own making.......
What was that somebody said about old habits dying hard and birds of a feather flocking together.........
