CAN WE CO-EXIST PEACEFULLY AND HARMONIOUSLY........

In the latest instance of a crime including juveniles; two Manipuri undergraduate males students were allegedly set upon and attacked by a group of men with sticks, stones, iron rods and a sharp edged weapon (scissors) by a group of men in South Delhi's Munirka locality on Saturday night.........
According to both eyewitnesses as well as local police personnel; the two Manipuri students were attacked following a heated quarrel between them and two juvenile residents of the area about allegedly racist remarks made against the two victims by the juveniles in question.......
The two victims have since been identified as Latgolen (19) and Boilain (22) and one of the victims who sustained serious life threatening injuries as a result of the heinous assault is currently undergoing treatment at the government run Safdarjung hospital........
Munirka Police personnel have since managed to arrest the two accused juveniles who were the primary cause of the fracas as well as one of their accomplices in the attack/assault from three separate locations within Munirka on Sunday while the fourth accused still remains at large.........
One wonders why a significant majority of us simply cannot accept or realise the fact that people hailing from the North eastern parts of our glorious motherland are as "Indian" as we are and simply let them lead their lives in every nook and cranny of the country in relative peace and quiet.........
These attacks on men and women from the north eastern parts of the country have begun to have their ramifications in the north eastern parts of the country as a group of students primarily hailing from the southern states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were violently set upon or attacked by a group of incensed locals as well as local students from the same educational institute following an argument pertaining to the distribution/allocation of food in the institution's student mess.........
This eye for an eye attitude is doing nothing more than causing wounds that will never heal on the hearts and souls of the victims thereby leading to bad blood, misunderstandings and a blood lust that will never be quenched; it is high time we learnt to respect each others' language, culture, lifestyles, practices and customs and most importantly co-exist in peace as interdependent fellow Indians..........
