What is it with Delhi and it's male denizens rapidly increasing propensity to sexually exploit unwilling female residents as if the same was their divinely ordained right and chosen manner of displaying their so called machismo........
More than a rape a day satisfies the raging ego or then should I say libido of the archetypal Delhi male; with the age, shape size, economic background and maritalstatus of the victim being nothing more than a mere triviality to be callously batted away...........
A teenager was allegedly repeatedly gang raped by her neighbour and his two accomplices in the National Capital's Begampur area (Outer Delhi) high ranking Delhi police officers said on Thursday........
Medical tests carried out on the 16 year old class IX government school student at a government run medical facility have conclusively established the occurrence of this heinous crime against her, but no arrests have been made so far as the incoherent and deeply traumatised victim is not in a position to give a coherent statement to the concerned authorities..........
This very same girl had supposedly gone missing on February 25 and a complaint was filed by her harrowed parents at the local police station the very next day; the very same girl was found abandoned in the national capital's Janakpuri area on March 4,2014.........
She was immediately rushed to a neighbouring government medical facility where she was provided with the much needed/desired first aid and succour; medical tests carried out on her at the very same facility conclusively established the occurrence of rape........
All that has been established thus far is the fact that she was indeed raped by three males including her neighbour (according to the victim's only coherent statement), but her vacillating version of events about having left her dwelling in the company of a female friend and subsequent events is only compounding the problems of the police folk.........
"We are waiting for her to recover some semblance of normality so that we can duly record her statement in the presence of a judicial magistrate and also extract the much desired information pertaining to the identities and physical attributes/features of her assailants", the investigating officer succinctly remarked........
"Her assailants could be none other than fellow juveniles hailing from the same area in our estimation, but the same can only be verified when the victim is in a position to render a credible and coherent version of events", the investigating officer concluded..........
One really wonders whether this seeming epidemic or spate of rapes against the national capital's womenfolk is indeed a graphic manifestation of the archetypal Delhi males sexual urges/fantasies or then whether the same is a misplaced effort at proving the male's ultimate dominance over his supposedly weaker female counterpart.........
Whatever it is, all one knows is that the same is indeed deplorable, reprehensible, condemnable and also that the same has no place whatsoever in a land that is known for venerating and worshipping the female form in it's numerous manifestations..........
