Why cannot this world and parents simply accept romantic liaisons as they are instead of raising the oft abused and totally irrelevant bogey of caste; creed; religion; sect; economic status and so and so forth almost every single time........
Two Tamil Nadu based teenaged lovers belonging to two supposedly inimical and warring castes were utterly devastated and overwhelmed to this extent at the vehemence and utter disdain shown by their parents to their budding relationship that they decided to take fate into their own hands and hang themselves to death late on Saturday night instead of having to spend the remainder of their lives without each other as ordained by their murderous and bloodthirsty parents......
According to a senior Salem police officer; the teenagers both of whom happened to be 18 years of age checked into a Mookanurkadu (Yercaud Hill Station)based Guest House late on Thursday night after leaving their respective houses by conjuring up a story about having to attend a dear friends nuptials which was bought lock; stock and barrel by both sets of their grubby and conniving parents........
The now deceased 18 year old young man was pursuing his BCA degree from a Bengaluru based college while the similarly aged young woman was pursuing her B.Com degree from a Thiruchengode (Tamil Nadu) based college and had been in this tragic and heart rending relationship for the last two and a bit years........
As they did not deign to come down to the guest house's dining room for dinner until 11:30 pm or so on the fateful night a staffer who had ushered them into the room that ultimately became their final resting place grew concerned about their absence and found the two of them hanging from the ceiling of the said room following which he informed the manager of the same facility who duly informed the local police about the tragedy that had occurred within the confines of their popular and well frequented tourist facility.......
A suicide note signed by both parties conclusively and irrevocably alluded to the sordid fact that the two of them had decided to take recourse to this extreme measure as their parents jaundiced attitude towards their blossoming relationship left them with little or no choice apart from ending their nascent lives in this pathetic manner as they were not even willing to contemplate the unsavoury spectacle of having to spend their lives apart from each other as desired by their respective parents........
One wonders why the concerned police officials have not filed accomplices or then facilitating suicide cases against both sets of parents and put them behind bars where they rightfully belong as such murderous and devious parents who put utterly immaterial and irrelevant matters before the lives of their children deserve to spend the rest of their lives incarcerated in the deepest and darkest dungeons of hell and beyond in my humble opinion.......
