20 year old up and coming Japanese pop star Mayu Tomita is teetering between life and death after being devilishly stabbed more than a dozen times on various parts of her petite anatomy by a frenzied and demonic fan who has since been identified as 27 year old Tomohiro Iwazaki.......
According to dumbstruck and horrified bystanders Mayu Tomita; the diabolical gent set upon a defenceless Tomita at around 5 pm or so on a fateful Saturday evening just as she was ending a public performance witnessed by thousands of her fawning and screaming fans in western Tokyo's Koganei area........
According to police sources who apprehended the suspect within minutes after he almost insanely attacked the nation's darling Iwazaki has admitted to his crime and cited the inane reason that he was incensed and infuriated by Tomita's refusal to accept a gift/momento proffered by him as a token of his love and affection for her and hence he decided to put her in her rightful place by punishing her for the slight she committed by supposedly spurning his friendly gesture.........
The murder weapon an eight or so inch long commando knife has since been recovered from the clutches of the wannabe murderer and he has since been incarcerated in a maximum security prison for the next three weeks to begin with........
As for Tomita who is hanging onto dear life by a thread after suffering massive damage to her internal and vital organs as a result of the life threatening injuries caused by the accused on her chest; neck ;abdomen and back; the next 48 to 72 hours are crucial in her chances of making it back to the land of the living as doctors at the Tokyo hospital who had to perform four surgeries to repair her internal and vital organs are keeping their fingers crossed waiting for the young woman who had attained super stardom with her first and second albums to regain consciousness so that they can minutely ascertain the extent of the damage caused to her life and limb and determine the future course of treatment accordingly........
I for one am certainly hoping and praying that this dimunitive lass who has the brightest years of her life ahead of her makes a miraculous and complete recovery and keeps entertaining her legions of fans for the next four decades and more; as for the frenzied fan who had been relentlessly stalking her on Twitter and other social networking sites for more than a couple of months or so; capital punishment would also not suffice as justice for the misery and pain inflicted by him on his unsuspecting and hapless victim........
