All good things come to an end sometime or the other and the same holds true as West Indian fast bowling legend Curtly Ambrose's three year long stint as the West Indian bowling coach........
According to an official press release emanating from within the echelons of the West Indies Cricket Board former first class medium fast bowler Roderick Estwick will succeed Ambrose with immediate effect........
Estwick who never represented the West Indies at the highest level (either in test matches or one day internationals) owing to the breakless assembly line that produced one indomitable speedster after the other during his playing days however more than covered himself with distinction in the forty odd first class matches that he played in Barbados; Transvaal (South Africa) and West Indian "A" team........
Currently discharging the role of the fast bowling coach of the domestic T 20 Barbados Pride Franchise; Estwick has also donned the same role for the West Indian under 19 side in the not to distant past.......
Estwick's first assignment as the West Indies new bowling coach will be the forthcoming tri-series between the West Indies; South Africa and Australia and while he certainly has more than big shoes to fill; Estwick has started off in right earnest by taking over the net and training sessions of those bowlers who were not fortunate enough to be picked up by any of the IPL franchises for the ongoing edition of the world's premier domestic T 20 tournament......
While clouds of mystery continue to cloud Ambrose's abrupt departure after a fairly successful three year tenure at the helm of affairs here's wishing his equally worthy successor glad tidings and unprecedented success in his newest and latest cricketing avatar......... ,
