Mother India can certainly do with millions of more such noble and philanthropic sons like this one from Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore city.......
Meet the 32 year old Muthukumaraswamy; doting father of two young children and a tailor by vocation/profession who more than adroitly manages his pride and joy a humble and ubiquitous tailoring shop in one of the busiest and crowded areas in this teeming city.........
Inspired by caring and concerned fellow Indians who more than willingly stepped forward and forsook their LPG gas cylinder subsidies when Prime Minister Narendra Modi implored them; this unassuming son of mother India has voluntarily stepped forward the promised 100 units of power bestowed upon him by the state government of the day and instead wants them to allocate the same to a needy and impoverished human being who needs the same much more than him........
Pointing out the fact that he earns upwards of Rs. 500 per day from his tailoring outlet; Muthukumaraswamy says he is indeed blessed as his family does not make outlandish and unaffordable material demands of him and hence he is more than capable of paying for the 150 to 200 units of electricity consumed by him during the course of a calendar month........
Further sprouting nuggets of wisdom and dispensing some much needed "sage" advice he implores any and every individual who is placed in a similar economic position to do the same so that the free power can be disbursed and allocated to those individuals who are in dire need of the same........
Unabashedly admitting the fact that he did avail of such freebies like a colour television set; mixer grinder and ceiling fan which were showered upon lakhs of Tamilians like him by the Jayalalitha led AIADMK government in the past as he could not afford these household articles at the time; he reasons that his economic status has drastically improved over the last five years and hence he decided to contribute his mite towards reducing the financial burden imposed on the state government by paying for every single unit of electricity consumed by him and his family........
Will our crorepati netas like Farooq Abdullah and the like who constantly keep clamouring for ever increasing freebies and additional benefits take a leaf out of the generous and pragmatic Muthukumaraswamy's book of life and forsake the LPG and other subsidies that they continue to cling onto.........
