Pardon me for thinking that I had heard every plausible as well as implausible reason for loss of form and marked dip in performance levels; but this one certainly left me scratching my noggin' in frustration and disbelief.......
Out of favour Haryana medium pacer Mohit Sharma who last featured in an international ODI fixture way back in October 2015 against the rampaging South Africans attributed his alarming dip in form and fortune to his receding hair levels and impending baldness......
Sharma who was literally taken to the cleaners by the Proteas batters (he conceded 84 runs in the seven overs that he sent down) was seen in the vicinity of a Gurgaon based hair transplant facility a few days back when he made this bizarre; seemingly insane and unintentionally hilarious remarks.......
Mohit who has since become a regular in the Haryana Ranji Trophy team and ensnared 16 wickets for his sate team in the five fixtures that he has featured in thus far including two impressive and laudable five wicket hauls on pitches or surfaces that were less than conducive to his form of bowling.......
Resolutely and steadfastly on the comeback trail; this comeback man hopes that a hair transplant and other allied treatments herald a change in sagging fortunes; form; fate and karma........
I for one am hoping and praying that his prayers are answered as team India certainly needs the services of Dhoni's favoured "go to" man in the shorter formats of the iconic game as soon as possible......
