30 year old Raman (son and husband) and 50 year old Tripti Rani resorted to the extreme measure of prematurely and tragically ending their lives on Monday morning as they were being allegedly harassed and tormented by Raman's estranged wife for the last few months.......
Both the now deceased mother and son were life long residents of Punjab's bustling Jalandhar city and their partially decomposed mortal remains were discovered by the Railway Police personnel in the immediate vicinity of the city's Ramnagar Railway Gate at around 7 am or on the fateful morning.......
It is being surmised that the much harangued duo resorted to this dastardly act as they were being continually harangued by Raman's estranged wife who has been living on her own for the last one year or so and was repeatedly spotted berating and chastising the mother and son by fellow residents of the city's Kishanpura locality over the last few weeks.......
According to the case's investigating officer; Raman's supposedly better half had filed a domestic violence and physical torture case against the hapless duo some fourteen months back or so and investigations into her claim revealed the unsavoury fact that if anything she was the originator and perpetrator of the domestic violence that she was allegedly being subjected to........
On finding that her dubious claims had been busted by the police sleuths; the enraged and infuriated woman had repeatedly threatened to approach the state human rights commission in order to right the so called wrongs meted out to her and also threatened to making both her estranged husband's as well as long suffering mother-in-law's nondescript existence on planet earth a veritable living hell........
As things stand at the present moment; Jalandhar police sleuths have sent both the bodies for post mortem as mandated by the laws of the land and launched a meticulous investigation against unknown persons even though the needle of suspicion unerringly points towards the shrewish harridan who could be the immediate cause for the miserable duo's agonising exit from their worldly existence........
