Hot on it's heels; here comes the news about former Indian cricketer Kirti Azad's better half Poonam Azad quitting the saffron party and joining the rank and file of the Aam Aadmi Party with effect from July 19; 2016 onwards........
According to sources close to Ms. Azad she has been miffed with her former (BJP) party's high command ever since her husband and former MP Kirti was suspended from the party ranks for showing the temerity and courage to take the incumbent finance minister Arun Jaitley head on and brand him as the fountainhead of the rampant corruption within the echelons of the Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA).........
Ms. Azad a three term member of her former party's omnipotent national executive has been biding her time ever since and decided that this was the right time to pitch her bandwagon in the Aam Aadmi Party's domain and if the same sources are to be believed then her husband is likely to follow in her wake within the next few days or so........
Elated and jubilant Aam Aadmi Party sources willingly confirmed the news about Poonam Azad joining the party and said that she will be actively campaigning for the party in the Bihari dominated areas of Punjab once she is assimilated and absorbed within the party that has emerged as a counterpoise to the two leading so called national parties on the horizon............
She might also emerge as the party's face in Bihar and Jharkhand in the run up to the next state elections which are slated to be held in the distant future though it would to premature to crown her as the Aam Aadmi party's chief ministerial candiate in Bihar right now or then at the present moment........
