An unconscious 40 year old woman was allegedly drugged and gang raped in a moving car in Uttar Pradesh's Muradnagar area (Ghaziabad district) by three men; two of whom were known to her late on Wednesday afternoon..........
She (the rape survivor) was spotted in the vicinity of the Upper Ganga Canal by 2 police constables who were perplexed and moved by her dishevelled and somewhat incoherent condition; the 2 constables firstly tried to ascertain the antecedents of the doughty survivor who firstly led her to the Muradnagar Police Station and later to the District Hospital for a detailed medical examination........
According to police sources; the 40 year old woman is a widow and mother of 3 young children who runs a pithy fruit and vegetable shop adjacent to her humble dwelling on Meerut road in order to support and nurture her three offspring...........
A case of forced abduction and rape has since been registered has since been registered against the 3 accused (the medical examination carried out on the survivor clearly established the crime of rape); two of whom have been identified by the victim as one Vakil of Sanjay Nagar who runs a small time eatery in the same locality and Irfan; long term friend and associate of the said Vakil; the accused trio are on the run and are yet to be apprehended..............
According to the case's investigating officer; the woman (survivor) befriended Vakil as her son's were in the habit of frequenting his modest eatery and gorging on the delicacies stocked therein...........
Taking undue advantage of the fact that the 40 year old widow was on the lookout for any suitable job that would help extricate her and her children from the financial ruin they found themselves in; Vakil requested the unsuspecting woman to meet him at around 2:30 pm or so in Muradnagar as he could land her a fairly good job through one of his numerous contacts..........
Blisfully unaware about the gruesome fate that was about to befall her; the woman reached the designated spot well in time and was asked to get into the car being commandeered by Vakil; in the meanwhile Irfan and the third male who were already in the car offered the survivor a sedative laced soft drink and subsequently proceeded to gang rape her within the confines of the same as soon as she lost her senses..........
Once they had their fill of her; the trio then proceeded to dump the semi- conscious survivor near the afore mentioned Upper Ganga Canal and made good their escape from the crime scene; the woman was subsequently spotted wandering around the area in a dazed and confused manner by the 2 constables who led her towards the area's police station.........
Three police teams have been constituted and entrusted with the onerous responsibility of apprehending the accused triumvirate at the earliest and the concerned ACP has promised results within the next 72 hours.........
