A male lecturer gainfully employed in a Telangana based polytechnic college was disdainfully throttled to death by his wife and other members of her family in the wee hours of Monday morning........
According to the case's investigating officer; Shravan Kumar (33) (the victim) was gainfully employed as a lecturer in Warangal District's Station Ghanpur based VMR polytechnic college and had married his wife (the main accused) Pavani; the couple had been blessed with a seven year old son and four year old daughter.........
Seemingly irreconcilable and rapidly growing differences however seemed to have crept up between the couple during the last two odd months as Shravan had chucked aside his job as a lecturer in a city (Hyderabad) based polytechnic and chosen to move to the above mentioned polytechnic college as he was of the opinion that a job in the same would not only significantly enhance his assets but also help in fulfilling his career objectives; his better half was however vehemently opposed to his "educated and informed" decision and constant quarrels and bickering had become the norm between the two........
Things however came to a head on the fateful Sunday night (early Monday morning) when an intoxicated Shravan returned home after having imbibed more than his fair share of intoxicants in the company of his friends and started pestering Pavani to immediately move to Station Ghanpur with him and bring the kids along with her..........
A thoroughly sozzled and seemingly senseless Shravan soon fell asleep and started emitting a series of sonorous snores when Pavani and her mother Vijaya decided to get rid off him once and for all and throttled him to death before calling up a neighbouring police station and informing the concerned authorities about their cold blooded and meticulously planned crime........
Swinging into action almost immediately; police personnel belonging to the Vanasthalipuram police station registered a case under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against Pavani; her mother Vijaya; father Narasimha Rao and a couple of other relatives who aides and abetted the ghastly crime/murder before taking the accused trio into their custody........
Further investigations into the case are on and the investigating officer has disclosed that he will be filing a charge sheet within the next 5 days or so before the designated/concerned court...........
