It is indeed most heartening and gratifying to note the welcome fact that at long last here is a responsible and conscientious minister and group of babu's (railway officials/bureaucrats) who promptly react to tweets/complaints registered by distressed travellers who commute by long as well as local trains and frequently bear the brunt of corrupt and usurpious officials errant and criminal ways/tendencies.......
One such ubiquitous and stereotypical 28 year old passenger (Govind) who was traversing the stretch/expanse between Barmer and Kalka on the fateful and eventful Sunday afternoon happened to chance upon the Travelling Ticket Examiner exhorting sums of money varying between a pithy Rs.20 and a significant Rs. 200/- on the pretext of allotting berths to commuters (depending upon the distance travelled by each one of them) and pocketing the sums without issuing an official receipt for the same........
Govind who was well acquainted with the prevalent and existing systems demanded an official receipt as was his right after handing over the demanded sum of Rs. 200 only to be brusquely and cursorily brushed off with the laconic response that the same will be duly handed over before he alighted from the train at his ultimate destination........
Deciding to take matters into his own more than capable hands Govind who was more than aware of the prevalent system of sending SMS's/tweets to the conscientious and caring railway minister; citizen friendly prime minister and Divisional Railway Manager (Jodhpur) promptly whipped out his high end mobile handset and sent out a series of tweets to the afore mentioned notables that bore a result that he could not envisage even in his most outlandish dreams........
Govind and his co-passengers who were at the receiving end of the said TTE's grubby and conniving ways were elated and euphoric when the offending railway functionary was curtly ordered to disembark from the train at the Merta Railway station and his replacement set vexatious matters/issues right by promptly issuing receipts to all concerned and allotting them their promised berths.........
This 28 year old crusader who took up cudgels on behalf of his fellow travellers/passengers cannot stop gushing about the promptness and timeliness of the disciplinary action/measures initiated against the corrupt and malicious TTE and has sworn to repeat this trend whenever he sees any wrongdoing while travelling on a train of his choosing.........
