This former Miss India; IPL team co-owner; doting mother and woman of substance certainly seems to be espousing/supporting all the right causes and drumming up invaluable support for them.......
48 year old mother of two teenaged daughters Ms. Juhi Chawla who was last seen on screen in the educational drama "Chalk and Duster" certainly added that much desired sparkle and lustre to scores of terminally ill cancer patients (young children between the age of 6-14) by simply spending her time and bestowing them with the much needed cheer and vigour........
After a four hour long visit to a city (Mumbai) based cancer hospital on the occasion of the World "No Tobacco Day" this actress who has always done her bit to bit ameliorate the sufferings of others tweeted; "today is the day to destroy and discard the habit that destroys you and hastens your departure from this world.....went to visit little children/angels and share a smile with them"........
"And am wondering/pondering why most if not all of us take the good lord's bounty; blessings and gifts bestowed upon us for granted instead of counting our blessings; showing eternal gratitude for the things we receive and take for granted as our due".........
"The time spent with these "blessed" children has certainly altered and transformed my somewhat blinkered and myopic world view and made that much aware of my responsibilities towards society as a celebrity who can make that much needed/desired difference and thereby enrich a few lives in the bargain"......
All of us; including yours truly would do well to emulate this "blessed" woman who is out to make the world a better place to inhabit with her selfless gestures and sterling deeds; the least we can do is to follow in her footsteps and do our very own bit no matter however inconsequential and trivial it may seem........
