BELIEVE IT OR NOT.......

One rally wonders who really is the "saner" of the two; the simian who allegedly stole/filched the said mobile phone or the woman who made a beeline towards the nearest police station and filed an official complaint in this regard against the alleged thief.......
This if nothing else not only takes the entire cake but the bakery along with it in my humble opinion; a crestfallen; incredulous and disbelieving woman has certainly done a first of it's kind by registering a written complaint alleging that a daring and dimunitive monkey allegedly divested her of her prized mobile phone in Madhya Pradesh's Shahdol district at around 10 am or so on a fateful Tuesday morning.......
In the written complaint filed by her at the Kotwali Police station; 31 year old Parvati Bahrani a long term resident of the district's Gharaola Colony alludes to the fact that she was engrossed in the act of hanging up the clothes that she had just finished washing in the verandah of her modest dwelling when out of nowhere a monkey happened upon the spot and scared the bejesus out of her by seemingly making aggressive and "suggestive" gestures pertaining to an impending attack........
Fearful of her personal safety; life and limb; Parvati rushed into the seemingly safer confines of her living room and hurriedly locked the door behind her in her wake while keeping a wary eye on the simian all the while...... If her version of events is to be taken as the gospel truth; Parvati alludes to the fact that the rhesus monkey who had ventured out in search of a few delectable morsels of his/her favourite food picked up her favourite mobile handset and made off with the same just to spite her and also pay her back for having committed the cardinal error of not having stacked a few eatables in her verandah.......
Highly vexed and consternated; an infuriated and incensed Parvati wended her way to the above mentioned police thana and insisted upon filing a written complaint against the four legged thief who had allegedly divested her of her prized possession.......
A thoroughly flabbergasted and exasperated SHO tried his utmost to apprise her of the fact that a case could not be registered in this instance as he was not sure about which section of the Indian Penal Code would apply in this unique case but was left with little or no choice in registering a case against the mischievous monkey as Parvati insisted on staying put until he did the needful..........
As things stand at the present moment; investigations have been launched into this tragi-comic incident and the local police sleuths have begun combing both heaven and earth in their effort to apprehend the thieving monkey at the earliest....
I for one really wonder what the monkey who allegedly made off with the said mobile phone would do with the same as he neither knows how to operate it or then can consume the same and satiate the hunger pangs that caused him to commit this crime if one can indeed call it that to begin with......
