Australian groundsmen beware; pace attack lynch pins Ryan Harris and Mitchell Johnson are extremely disturbed; dismayed and disgusted by the slow; low and almost bald pitches offered to them during the course of the ongoing test series against India and are directing both their ire and verbal repartee at the groundsmen responsible for the three pitches offered to them thus far.........
Both Harris and Johnson are of the opinion that the Aussie pacers have had to work much harder than normal ans shed blood; sweat and tears to send the Indian batsmen back to the pavilion at regular intervals notwithstanding the rather flattering 2-0 score line........
Both Harris and Johnson are of the informed opinion that the three pitches dished out to them thus far have been far slower; lower and shorn of grass; "we as a bowling unit have always enjoyed bowling on pitches that had more than a bit of grass on them; offered pace and bounce and therefore facilitated movement off the pitch like the pitches we played on during the Ashes" Harris said.........
"The pitches that we have played on thus far are definitely much more batting friendly in comparison to the pitches on which the five test Ashes series was played and we would have certainly thought that our curators would have been a little more sympathetic towards their fast bowling mates and served up pitches that had a bit more in them for us long suffering pacers who have the dice heavily loaded against us more often than not"; Harris signed off.........
