Is a female of any form, shape, size and age safe and secure within our national capital???? well, the answer certainly lies in the negative if present trends are any indicators to go by.........
In the latest horror to emerge from the "hallowed" precincts of our national capital a 5 year old girl was grotesquely and brutally raped or then sexually assaulted by a marauding and misogynistic 21 year old male relative within the supposedly safe and secure confines of her house in the posh and prosperous Vasant Vihar area while her parents were away from the house attending a funeral late on Thursday evening........
Her parents and other family members were shocked, dismayed and flabbergasted when they returned home later that night only to be confronted with the sorry sight of their young daughter holding on to her belly and weeping copiously..........
On being questioned about the reason for her sorry state, the young girl blurted out the startling fact about having been led into an adjoining room and sexually assaulted more than once by the so called male relative who had surreptitiously entered the family abode while the girl's parents were away from the same..........
Without any further ado the parents rushed to the neighbouring police station a little after midnight and filed a complaint against the so called male relative following which the victim was rushed to the national capital's super speciality AIIMS medical facility where the doctors attending on her confirmed the incidence of rape.........
Swinging into action as soon as they received the report from the doctors at AIIMS, the cops in question proceeded to raid the residence of the assailant and took him into custody from there in the wee hours of Friday morning; cases under section 376 (rape) and under the relevant and applicable sections of the POSCO act have been slapped against the accused and the cops will be approaching a local court seeking the rapist's legal custody later today.........
Happy Teacher's Day everybody; we certainly seem to be hell bent upon giving this hallowed and blessed day a rather sinister and ominous appearance by teaching our succeeding generation to rape the supposedly fairer sex with utter disdain and growing impunity........
