Let us talk about noble, good intentioned and well meaning people for a change, meet Simmy Malhotra a passionate, committed and persevering young woman who gave up her flourishing career in Dell to care, nurture and look after the national capital's destitute, dying, handicapped and callously abandoned dogs all on her very own.......
Her modest two room house in a fairly well to do South Delhi locality currently serves as a haven of peace, love, hope, care and rest for more than two dozen strays and she was recently bestowed with the Godfrey Phillip's Bravery Award for the yeoman's service rendered by her to Delhi's teeming population of canines.......
Simmy has been successful in rescuing 39 dogs from the brink of death and self destruction and given them a fresh or new lease of life with her motherly care, oodles of love and unstinted devotion towards them.....
She has been slogging it out practically all by herself for the last two and a bit years, as mentioned earlier, she selflessly gave up a flourishing corporate career so that she could whole heartedly devote all her time and attention to her Non Governmental Organisation aptly titled "Animal Help and Heal".........
"Yes, times have indeed been tough and I have seriously thought about giving it all up in times of utter despondency and forlorness", Simmy candidly admits; but the wagging tails, selfless and undemanding love and the soulful friendship always brings me back from the brink........
A timely word of kindness, a noble gesture or a helping hand does provide aid, succour and hope for the future this doughty woman goes on to say, I have made a small beginning in my own humble way but a lot more needs to be done towards making this big bad world a safe haven for all it's dogs and canines she trails off........
If you want to contact Simmy or then lend a helping hand, please log on to the website off her NGO, pledge support and make a contribution that would both serve the cause of the canines and display your philanthropy, large heartedness and kind side........
