Dharam Paaji who celebrated his 81st birthday just about a fortnight or so ago sent all his avowed and fawning fans including yours truly into a tizzy and fits of trepidation when he was admitted to a Mumbai based hospital recently.......
According to family sources the eternal; evergreen and original "he man" of the Hindi film industry was shifted to the city's (Mumbai's) famed and age old Nanavati Hospital at around 4 pm or so on the late afternoon of December 20 as he was afflicted with the twin maladies of gastroentritis and a severe and excruciatingly painful intestinal infection that caused other related complications....... Concerned family members rushed him to the said hospital in a jiffy and the team of doctors attending on him immediately set about administering the requisite and mandated dose of antibiotics and other diarrhoeal dosages in order to arrest and contain his intestinal distress; rapidly increasing temperature and other resulting complications........
"His condition is being closely and minutely monitored by a crack team of specialists led by a highly experienced and qualified gastroenterologist on a round the clock basis and he is responding more than adequately to the treatment being administered to him by the said team of doctors"; a statement released on behalf of the medical superintendent read.......
"There is no immediate cause for concern and Mr. Dharmendra should be discharged either on December 22 nd or the morning of December 23rd at the latest as he is well on the road towards making a speedy and complete recovery"; the very same statement concluded.......
