FOOD FOR THE MIND AND A LOT MORE BESIDES........

Short; well intentioned; dark; desolate; disturbing; mystifying; topical and path breaking films starring actors par excellence like Manoj Bajpayee; Radhika Apte; Rajkumar Rao; Pawan Malhotra; Neha Dhupia that have since become the stuff that legends are made of are currently ruling the internet; intranet and such other social networking sites/ platforms/ avenues.......
"Chutney' a 17 odd minute long feature film written and produced by the highly underrated and largely neglected Tisca Chopra of "Taare Zameen Par" fame and directed by the hitherto unknown Jyoti Kapur Das is the current flavour of the season for it's topicality; relevance; underlying intelligence and gumption to question the supposedly sacrosanct and pious Indian family system/ hierarchy or set up.........
Starring Tisca Chopra; Adil Hussain (of English Vinglish fame) and Rasika Duggal "Chutney" goes more than the proverbial two steps further in questioning the "honoured and established" husband wife relationship and ultimately ends up throwing up a series of questions and queries pertaining to the sustainability/ relevance/ necessity and continuance of all such socially and communally ordained relationships and their necessity........
Largely centered around the philosophical/ articulate/ path breaking and stereotype defying conversation between the two female protagonists in the aftermath of an archetypal dinner party where Tisca's immediate neighbour is seen openly flirting and gallivanting around with her typically domineering/ dominating/ devilish stereo typical male chauvinist husband; "Chutney" draws you into a vortex of mind raising or then should I say stimulating and invigorating emotions and experiences that literally grab you in their vice like grip and only let go when the end credits roll across the screen........
So whatever on earth are you waiting for watch "Chutney" right now for a chastening; life altering and mind boggling epochal and life defining/altering experience........
