Here is certainly one way or means of gaining instant infame; disrepute and notoriety........
Veteran journalist and India Today news channel consul;ting editor who has drawn the constant or then I say consistent ire and vitriol of extreme right wing and divisive groups and formations as he summoned up the guts; gumption and temerity to show them their hideous and distorted face in the mirror found himself at the receiving end once again.......
The only difference being that a largely unknown; nondescript and anonymous Odishan daily called Sambad splashed his visage across it's front page and branded him as one of the elusive six or so mysterious assailants whom the Mumbai police and other security agencies were looking for ever since two school going kids had spotted the very same bunch moving around with menacing looking guns some fifty or so kilometers from Mumbai two or three days ago.......
Trust the irrepressible Mr. Sardesai to come up with a befitting riposte or rejoinder and he took to his twitter handle attributing the same malicious; irreverent and highly misleading as well as provocative propaganda to right wing activists who seem to have mastered the art of hitting below the belt every single time......
Belatedly realising it's grave and eponymous error; the editor in chief of the said Odishan daily showed the grace and humility to issue an unconditional apology to the aggrieved party profusely apologising for the supposedly inadvertent and unintended error and to his credit Rajdeep preferred to let sleeping dogs lie and took the same in his inimitable stride with any further ado.......
Well; all's well that ends well in this case at least; but one hopes and prays that the powers that be within the hierarchy or annals of the Odishan daily in the spotlight realise the value of checking and cross checking or verifying their facts and sources before publishing such disparaging and damaging articles in the future.....
