Here's one more gent with a conscience that is alive and kicking and more significantly a man whom I greatly admire and revere.....
"Rock On and "Airlift" fame Purab Kohli who is currently immersed neck deep in the shooting schedules of the sequel to "Rock On" has been gracious enough to take the time out of his rather hectic as well as literally back breaking schedules and more than contribute his mite to the ceaseless battle against the scourge of cancer........
More than candidly admitting that his interest in joining the movement against cancer was kindled or fueled by the seemingly heart rending agonies of cancer stricken friend; Purab goes on to confess that he started doing intensive research into the causes of the dreaded disease and it's treatment after seeing the harrowing plight of one of his dearest friends.......
He also goes on to say that months of painstaking/meticulous and intense research taught him a lot about the disease and galvanised him into doing his bit to mitigate the sufferings of lakhs of fellow Indians especially young and very young Indians who are waging heroic yet largely anonymous battles against this killer disease........
"My female friend who was diagnosed with a supposedly incurable tumour in her upper chest region managed to all but surmount the death wish that surrounded her by making a few timely and life changing alterations to her diet and regular sessions of "hormone" therapy".........
"This friend of mine who has since become a role model and my beloved mother literally forced my hand into joining the relentless war against the same and I am proud to disclose that I am steadfastly trying to do my bit by joining forces with the "Cuddles" foundation that is doing unprecedented and path breaking work and research while simultaneously educating cancer victims about the nutritious and cancer beating diet patterns that they should be following/adopting in their sterling efforts to surmount the bane of their existence"..........
