You certainly cannot keep a good thing down for too long especially if that thing/human happens to be a certain Kevin Petersen.......
England test discard Kevin Petersen seems to be rediscovering his midas touch by plying his trade in various Twenty 20 leagues all across the expanse of the cricketing world and sending the fawning masses into raptures of delight with his sterling exploits with the bat.........
35 year old Petersen once again occupied centre stage by striking an impetuous and majestic century for his adopted South African domestic twenty 20 league side the Dolphins........
Petersen was biding his time and playing a supporting role until he found his adopted team tottering at a none too impressive 87/6 off 10 and a bit overs......
He then took the onus upon himself and guided his troubled side out of perilous territory and how; his first 50 runs were collected off a sedate 45 balls; but he blazed his way to a memorable and eye catching century in a mere thirteen more deliveries.......
He finally ended up with an undefeated personal score of 115 off a mere 66 balls and his epic knock was punctuated or rather embedded with 10 majestic sixes and 5 flowing boundaries........
His heroics with the bat helped his side to a commanding 174/6 against the defending champions the Lions and also played an instrumental role in his side registering a welcome two run victory over the defending champs who were helped along their way by Devon Conway and Alviro Petersen.........
Are Messrs Alastair Cook; England team management and other powers that be within the England Cricket Board (ECB) pondering over the virtues of their decision to sideline Petersen and treat him with glaring condescension as they have just been beaten hollow by a marauding Pakistani side and can certainly do with Petersen's heroics at the present time........
