YET ANOTHER NEEDLESS DEATH........

Utter lawlessness and mayhem certainly seem to have become the way of life in Akhilesh Yadav's Uttar Pradesh.........
In the latest incident of mindless and senseless violence; a 65 year old female senior citizen was callously mowed down to death by two motorcycle borne assailants in Greater Noida's (Dadri) Tulsi Vihar area on Friday afternoon as the two youths were incensed by the fact that the woman's petty shop had run out of cigarettes.........
According to Greater Noida police sources; 65 year old Mishro Devi; a long term resident of the Bil Akbarpur area was filling in for her son who had proceeded to Bulandshahr on some urgent business and is survived by 5 sons and 3 daughters; what makes the Greater Noida police sleuths job that much more cumbersome is the fact that the two cold blooded assassins never took their helmets off even for a moment and hence are yet to be identified.........
At around 2:30 pm or son on the fateful Friday afternoon; the two motorcyclists stopped their bike in front of the said petty shop; one of them disembarked and walked upto the shop while the other remained astride the motorcycle; the first youth then proceeded to ask the victim for cigarettes and was incensed beyond words when the old lady informed him that she had run out of cigarettes; in a fit of rage he whipped out a revolver and shot at her from point blank range.........
While the first bullet struck Mishro Devi in the abdominal area; the second fatal bullet lodged in her head; the youth then fired two more bullets in the air to dissuade bystanders and others from intervening; the crowd rushed to Mishro Devi's aid as soon as the two motorcycle borne assailants had made good their escape and rushed her to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced brought dead on arrival.........
Prima facie; the senseless death of the elderly lady seems to be the result of a petty dispute gone wrong; but the area police are perturbed by the fact that the old lady in question owned a little more than 12.5 bighas of land in the vicinity and whether the seemingly insane murder was inextricably linked to her prized possession.........
Whatever the reason for the futile murder may be; there is no getting away from the fact that life has indeed become a pithy commodity in this land of 125 crore plus and the same can be snatched away for the most trivial and inane reasons.........
