Taking his much debated and widely supported "Men Against Rape And Discrimination" (MARD) initiative more than a couple of steps further; noted Hindi film maker and actor Farhan Akhtar once again gave a clarion call for Gender Equality on the occasion of International Men's Day.........
Akhtar who recently set the domestic box office ablaze with his soul stirring act in the much acclaimed and universally applauded "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag" is currently neck deep in the post production processes of little sister Zoya Akhtar's next directorial venture "Dil Dhadakne Do" as well as a new venture tentatively titled "Do" co-starring living legend Amitabh Bachchan...........
This somewhat maverick 40 year old has not only explored and mastered the various facets of film making; acting; script writing; dialogue writing and singing but is also eponymous with raising and pioneering various Gender Equality related issues through his highly regarded (MARD) social initiative..........
Akhtar sent out a series of tweets imploring all right minded individual's to ensure that this International Men's Day went down in history as a marker or renewed beginning for the almost obscure art of the understanding of how the present generation can create and envision a future that does not discriminate between the two sexes in any manner whatsoever"...........
Here's to hoping and praying that all men with blinkers on pay heed to Mr. Akhtar's sage and welcome advice regarding the ending of the existing inequalities and anomalies between the sexes.........
