A 28 year old woman was bludgeoned to death by her irate, incensed, inebriated and near insane husband in the national capital's Mayur Vihar area following a particularly heated, intense and fractious argument about or rather pertaining to his age old drinking problem.........
Main accused Vinod (30) and his wife Priya (28) had moved into this DDA flat in Chilla Village (Mayur Vihar area) from Bulandshahr a little over two years ago according to neighbours and their increasingly heated and vociferous debates had all but become the bane of their (neighbours) existence according to them........
As per his nocturnal habit; Vinod returned home in an inebriated/sozzled condition as was his wont on the fateful Tuesday night and began showering the choicest and vilest abuses on his long suffering wife at the very top of his voice.........
Caught unawares by this barrage of abuse; Priya soon recovered her poise and demeanour and voiced her displeasure about her husband's vile behaviour as a result of which Vinod caught hold of her by her hair and started bludgeoning her head against the wall repeatedly; not satisfied with the sight of a copiously bleeding and incoherent wife; Vinod then picked up a baseball bat lying nearby and brought it down multiple times on her head with ferocious and murderous intensity..........
He momentarily recovered his composure when he saw that his wife had collapsed in a lifeless heap on their bed and made his way out of their house/flat with undue haste; their neighbour/landlord Zubeida cam to check upon them after hearing Priya's plaintive and heart rending cries only to be confronted with the gory sight of a lifeless Priya lying in an unceremonious heap on her bed..........
She immediately summoned the neighbours and rushed Priya to the nearby Lal Bahadur Shastri hospital in a neighbour's car where the doctors attending on her pronounced her brought dead on arrival; according to the doctors the excessive loss of blood caused by the injuries inflicted on the victim resulted in her untimely and premature demise.........
Priya's body was handed over to her inconsolable parents and other relatives after duly completing the post mortem formalities on Wednesday afternoon and a male relative revealed the fact that Vinod had attacked Priya on numerous occasions earlier but then sought her forgiveness with folded hands after very such instance as a result of which she made her way back to him every single time.........
As things stand at the present time; a case of murder has been registered against the absconding Vinod and two newly constituted teams have been entrusted with the onerous responsibility of apprehending him at the earliest...........
