Is a pithy bottle of country arrack or then "desi thara" more precious and valuable than an irreplaceable and invaluable human life; well the answer to that question would certainly be in the affirmative if this 23 year old alcoholic from Muzaffarpur is to be believed..........
In an incident bordering on the bizarre; a 23 year old alcoholic resident of Muzaffarpur's (Bihar) Mahanth Maniyari village callously and cold bloodedly bludgeoned his 46 year old mother to death on Tuesday night following a particularly heated and acrimonious argument between the two pertaining to the mother's avowed refusal to give money to her alcoholic son so that he could satiate his sternal pining for the potent; heady and intoxicating brew.........
According to neighbours; eyewitnesses;bystanders and local police sources; the accused Vivek Kumar picked up the grinding stone kept in one corner of the humble abode in which he used to reside with his mother Vibha Devi (the victim) and brought the same down on her head until the same was reduced to nothing more than a mishmash of blood and brain matter as she refused to finance or support her errant son's alcohol related yearnings..........
An inebriated; unmarried and unrepentant Vivek Kumar was nabbed by the local police from the murder spot mere minutes after he had cold bloodedly murdered his mother following a complaint filed by his long suffering younger sister Radha who duly informed the police that her brother had prematurely ended their mother's life as he was enraged by her constant refusals to fund his liquor related excesses and harangues about his pronounced inability to fund his own excesses and nocturnal habits..........
Ironic or otherwise; Radha Devi had gotten her son released from police custody a mere two days before her rather abrupt and premature demise as he had been taken into custody by the local police on the rather grave charges of having stolen a neighbour's motorcycle in order to satiate his liquor related pangs............
So this is how present day son's have started repaying the immense and innumerable favours done unto them by their doting and fawning parents who alas seem to know no better...........
