Can anything be more cruel than an incident (rape) involving a class II student and a security guard from her school who is supposed to keep her safe and secure within the school's premises' welcome to Teacher's Day circa 2014 everybody........
Mumbai's Antop Hill Police Station's sleuths arrested a 37 year old security guard on Thursday afternoon on the charges of allegedly assaulting (sexually assaulting) a 7 year old class II student within the school premises in the city's Sion-Koliwada area on Wednesday.........
According to the narration of events by the increasingly incoherent victim; she was making her way to the girl's toilet within the school's premises a little after lunch on the fateful Wednesday afternoon when the said security guard approached her and led her towards a secluded staircase on the pretext of giving her a chocolate.........
Little imagining the grotesque fate that was about to befall her, the naive, gullible, guileless and believing 7 year old girl accompanied the guard to the staircase where he proceeded to pull down her underpants and force himself upon her........
Paying little or no heed whatsoever to the little one's entreaties for mercy he proceeded till the inevitable end of the little one's sexual violation and callously made good his escape from the spot after threatening to end the little one's life is she as much as let out a whimper about the incident........
Taking the guard's implied threat at face value, the little one kept quiet about the sordid episode late until Wednesday night until unbearable abdominal pains forced her to blurt out the reason for the same in front of her dismayed and disbelieving parents..........
Incensed by the guard's deviant sexual behaviour, the little girl's parents somehow managed to control their ire till late on Thursday morning when they proceeded to the said school and accosted the rapist a little after noon on Thursday in the company of neighbours, family members and other incensed parents of children belonging to the very same school.........
Seeing the motley crew or then should I say bunch making a beeline towards him with rapid speed; the accused tried his level best to make good his escape from the spot but all his efforts came to naught when the bunch laid their hands upon him and proceeded to give him a sound thrashing before leading him to the Antop Hill Police Station where he was duly handed over to a gaggle of flabbergasted cops........
According to the investigating officer, the Antop Hill Police has so far been successful in extracting a written confession from the accused in which he has more than admitted to the enormity of the crime committed by him; medical tests performed on the victim at a local government hospital on Thursday evening have conclusively proved or established the incidence of rape and only served to strengthen or reinforce the police's case against the accused.........
Cases under section 376 (rape) and the relevant sections of the POSCO act have since been filed against the accused security guard and he has been remanded to judicial custody till September 23 by a local magistrate..........
